Endom took some meat out of the pile in the corner and sat by the cave entrance again.

Rusty grabbed a steak and started to chow down, "So ya just gonna sit there with it or eat it?" Rusty questioned with a mouth full of food.

Rusty stuffed his face with food. He really didn't eat much at all yesterday so this was her first meal since two days ago when he ate that rabbit.

I wonder what the pack is doing right now... Endom wondered, looking outside as he ate.

"I'm full" Rusty said pushing the rest of the meat out of the way. "Whatta we gonna do today?" he asked.

"Well, it's dry outside so you can go out..." Endom said, looking back at Rusty.

Rusty got up and walked out, he smelled the fresh morning air. He hobbled around taking in his new surroundings.

Endom followed, keeping a close eye on his friend to make sure he didn't stagger.

"It is beautiful out here," Rusty said limping along the hill countryside.

"Yeah... Especially in the morning light." Endom said, looking around as he followed the wolf.

"Not the river but look on what is on the otherside of the river, our pack!" he screamed for joy. The problem was that the river was probably 100 feet wide.

Endom looked left and right to see a way across. There wasn't. "River? Lake more like." He said. He picked a pebble up in his claws and tossed it in... And the water's surface rippled where it went in. "... Crap."
