Leafstar yowled to get attention.
Nightpaw padded back over to Softpaw.
"I have been informed thet Riverclan is in our territory. This most likely means a battle, but to make sure they don't have other intentions, I'm sending a patrol out to meet them. Silverclaw, you and five other warriors wil go and meet them."
Nightpaw's face fell at the 'warrior' part. He wanted in on the action.
"The rest of you will take defensive positions at the entrance and in other areas of the camp." Leafstar stopped speaking.

Mistypelt followed her older brother, Oakjaw, happy to be participating. Oakjaw threw a glance behind him, making sure his littermate was following. Reassured and satisfied, he turned back to face in front of him. Whiskerface, silent and timid, took the rear, his paws making almost no sound on the forest floor.

Blackfang noticed Whiskerface slacking behind and nudged him roughly forward. Lionfur glanced back at Blackfang, and showed his teeth. Lionfur was the deputy, as Blackfang had wanted to be.
Silverclaw crept onwards.

Whiskerface tensed at the sight, along with Mistypelt. Oakjaw let out a silent hiss, baring his teeth in anger, pelt fluffing out.
Rainstorm could smell Shadowclan, extremly fresh, but shook it off. They were inShadowterritory! Of course it should smell of them.

Oakjaw leapt forward without hesitation, MIstypelt following, and WHiskerface looking hesitant as he ran, as usual.
