Whisper heard his howl and knew that it was time to go back home. At first she was ashamed to have a blind brother because he couldn't see, but, now, she wasn't because he could see. She could finally show her face the first time in years. She wanted to tell them that her eyes had changed to an icy blue.

Something felt better. It was as if something about Maura's love was new, as if something had changed about him. She trembled as she got to her feet, and dashed clumsily towards his scent. Her run was wobbly, but after a while it got better. "Taka?" She gasped when he came in sight. His eyes were no longer a dull, faded blue. They were bright and full of life. "Taka, can you see me?" Maura stepped out from the canopy of trees, where her fur shined and sparkled and glimmered in the sunlight.

Taka laughed and started to trot forwards,within minutes they were within the packs territory.He howled to let them knw of his presence and was greetedby a horribly familiar face.
"So,this is the great alpha Aniu sent to lead us.A dog" laughed Slasher.His golden fur shimmered in the sunlight "Well I dont quite agree"
"I don't want to fight you slasher" snarled Taka when an older wolf interupted.The wolf had shinning gray furand green eyes and was easily the oldest wolf there.
"Well,there is the challengers right,you'd both undertake three tests and the winner would be alpha" he said
"Well,Maur,Balto,What do you think?" asked Taka

Whisper followed and let Taka do this one. He could see now.
Balto nodded then looked at Whisper, then to Taka, " Yeah it sounds great. Go get 'em." He turned to Slasher, " Back off Slasher. You don't know what he can do. And we all know you can't do anything." He laughed with Taka.

Maura stepped up next to Taka. "I'll let you do what you like." She licked his ear caringly. Then she turned to the wold known as 'Slasher.' "But if you touch a hair on his pelt, I swear I will rip you to shreds..." She snarled with her head ducked low.

Slasher snarled at the small black wolf in front of him "what are you going to do about it titchy" he sneered
Taka knocked him sideways "don't you dare speak to my mate like that" he snarled
Slasher grinned evily,blood red eyes glinting, "you gonna make me mutt" he he teased
Taka growled sizing Slasher up.

Maura stepped forward. "I have one. How 'bout we blindfold them, then they have to fight?" She winked at Taka. Since he had been blind all his life, he would have the advantage.
