FreeFall sighed. "Should I tell Mist that he was adopted and was not born in this clan?" He repeated his question.

Wolfbane smiled and nuzzled his beloved while sighing in content, breathing in her sweet scent. "Hey," he casually greeted, as always. "Pretty good," he added, stretching out his wings even more before exhaling again. "So, what's up with you?... Anything exciting happen?" He was just smiling all the while, thinking about how life just couldn't get any better, or, in this case, any sweeter, than this. (^^)

'Um, no, I think it was a bad idea to adopt him in the first place and you know that, but if you want to tell him, it is your life you are ruining, but you could ruin it by not telling him, so hey either way you ruin his life' Sunfire said, almost evilly, and started to poke the fish with one claw. She felt a little bad putting it that way, but she felt that over these past couple of months that Freefall had not really payed her so much attention, attention that she felt that she needed if she was to know how he felt about her, and instead Mistclaw was getting it. I am not jealous, if he cares more about an adopted chick that someone he said he loved, then he will be the one to lose out she thought.
Snowspirit nuzzled him back, feeling his soft heat gently mingle with hers. 'Nothing much' she replied, 'I was trying to teach Sunfire to fish, but she kept going off in her little dream world, she is impossible.' She stepped back and smiled, and then looked down at her paws. 'You know I love you right' she said, and then quickly added 'just to remind you.' She licked him on the tip of his nose, and then motioned that they should walk by the river. 'It's a nice day' she said.

Freefall sighed, he walked up to Mistclaw. "Um, I`ll meet you in the cave." He muttered, then walked inside the Fire clan cave.

"Ok dad." He replied, he then turned to Glacia. "I`ll see ya later, ok?"

"Ok." Replied Glacia.

"Dad? What is it?" He asked as he walked into Freefall`s chamber.

"That`s the thing Mist...I`m..not your dad," he said as he sighed. "I found you all alone, in the cold snow, when you came up to me, I just felt as though I had to keep you safe from the dangers of the world, you were small, starving and cold."

"Why didn`t you tell me this before?" Asked Mistclaw, getting angrier.

"I just, didn`t want to hurt you I guess." Replied Freefall.

"Well, you have, you`ve been lying to me, if you had`ve told me sooner instead of lie, I wouldn`t be as angry." Said Mistclaw as he ran out of the cave, once he got as far as his legs could carry him, he curled up beside and oak tree and let the silent tears fall. "Where do I belong?" He asked no one.

"At my side." A voice hissed. "I can teach you many things, like how to fight and how to use powers you do not know of."

Mistclaw jumped as he gasped slightly. "I-I`m listening." He said, slightly interested.

"You can find me in the crystal cave beneath the waterfall." Hissed the voice, then it was gone.

Sunfire watched in interest as Mistclaw and Freefall disappeared into the cave. A few seconds later Mistclaw ran out, obviously upset about something, and Sunfire thought he didn't take it well then. She walked slowly after the chick, keeping a few paces behind so he didn't spot her, and watched as he curled up under a tree. She was tempted to talk to him about what had happened, but stayed where she was. She heard him talking, seemingly to no one, and narrowed her eyes. Should I talk to him, and who is he talking to she thought, and decided that talking might be good for the young chick, otherwise those angry thoughts could turn into vengeful ones. She stepped out from her hiding spot, and walked up to Mistclaw. 'Hi, now before you say anything I was not spying on you, but Freefall told me what he was going to do so I just didn't want you to take it the wrong way' she said, and sat down in front of Mistclaw. 'He told me he was going to say that you were adopted, and I want you to tell me how it feels, but just know that if he hadn't of adopted you then you would have died, and Freefall was adopted himself so he knows what you are going through' she continued, staring into Mistclaw's eyes seriously.

Mistclaw listened but then said. "D-did you hear that voice?Uh I guess not, anyways, I feel angry, and I don`t care..I`m not going back." Replied Mistclaw.

Meanwhile....

Fireclaw walked up to Freefall. "He will come home when he is ready, but for now he must travel on his own path....Just remember Freefall, everyone has their own path, their own destiny...You`ll understand that someday." Said Fireclaw wisely before heading to his chamber.

Freefall just shook his head and went outside. "Then I will walk my path, with or without company." Whispered Freefall, heading towards the north. He travelled for hours before stopping to rest.

Sunfire's curiosity was piqued. 'What voice Mist, you know you can tell me anything, what did the voice sound like' she asked, watching him carefully. 'But apart from the voice, it would be natural to feel angry, I would, but don't dwell on it, just ask yourself whether you would rather never find out you were adopted by someone who loves you, or know that that someone was good enough to take you in and care for you as if you were his own child' she continued, and then looked away sadly. 'He is a great friend, but I am afraid that that is all he will be to me, he told me he loved me you know, but he has devoted himself to you ever since he found you' she muttered loud enough for Mist to hear.

"The voice was cold and mean sounding...and you can have your "boyfriend" back, I won`t distract him anymore." Said Mistclaw simply as he headed in the direction of the waterfall.

Sunfire ran after Mist and grabbed him by the scruff of his neck and picked him into the air with one claw. 'Listen you, I don't like smart mouthed chicks, and he is not my boyfriend, he is your father. If the voice sounded cold and mean, then where are you going, I think you should talk about all this with Freefall' she said, giving him a little shake to prove her point. 'On second thoughts, I am not going to put you down, I am going to take you to Freefall and you two are going to talk. Boys...honestly they are so argumentative.' She started to walk back to the den, still holding onto Mistclaw tightly.

Mistclaw frowned, he folded his frongt legs and reluctantly stayed silent.

Freefall studied his surroundings, all of a sudden a large red dragon pinned him to the ground.

"Oh, sorry loser, I thought you were someone else..." Appologized Shadowfire.

'That's better' Sunfire said as they approached the den site. She spotted Fireclaw and called to him. 'Fireclaw, have you seen Freefall, him and his chick need a good long talk together' she said, showing him Mistclaw, who seemed to be quite grumpy. She smiled at that, chicks had to learn that they couldn't always get what they want, and that life is unfair sometimes. 'Listen, Mist, to tell you the truth, I think almost everyone around here is adopted, even me you know, only I knew I was, my mum came back to try and take me away but I said 'no way', she had left me my whole life and my life was here' she whispered.

Sunfire almost choked. 'What!' she said, rather loudly, 'he is such an...idiot, he is going to get killed.' She looked down at Mistclaw, sighing. 'Which way did he go, I need to go stop him from committing suicide, this is ridiculous, and Mist you stay here, I don't want to end up getting you killed as well' she finally said.

Meanwhile...

Freefall traveled with Shadowfire, soon, mist rolled in and it was hard to see the ground let alone their paws.

Shadowfire felt a rough hand grab his leg and he screamed (not a girl scream, a boy scream) as he saw an ancient-looking rotting corpse come out of the ground. Soon there were many of them.

Dun dun dun. XD

(I got a bit of a surprise to show you when I finish it (no it isn't the pictures, I am failing dismally at them, all my drawing skill seems to have gone out of the window)

Sunfire nodded in thanks and glanced one last time at Mistclaw, hoping that he wouldn't run off. She started to head North, keeping to the well trodden routes and paths, until they started to thin out and disappear altogether. Bushes and wild grass covered the floor, and the only tracks were those made by wild deer and rabbits. Sunfire started to get a bit nervous when the mist started to settle, and started to talk to herself in her head. Well this is a fine way to spend a sunny afternoon, I could have been fishing and Mistclaw would have gone off somewhere and probably hurt himself on voice said, her own voice. But you would never have forgiven yourself, and you do still like Freefall, and he likes you, even if he doesn't show it that much another voice replied, it sounded male, but she wasn't sure.
