OOC: thanks for you sympathy, Kendell. And Thanks for waiting too, The comp thing is kinda takin a toll on me.
Charlie smiled, walking over and carefully pick up a now squirming Kai. He tried to calm the pup down while hooking him up in front of Lena.
Jenna nuzzled Balto back. "I'm glad you'll be there. I don't think any of us would be able to do it without you."
Kai gave a kind of smirk. Certainly not the most optimistic of his siblings.
Kodi laughed, shaking his head. "Ah, not for another year and a half!" he corrected.
Tai giggled, looking at Cachen and to Lena. "Now I see the relation." she grinned.

Rob went over and got Fang and hooked him in front of Kai.
Balto chuckled. "Well I wouldn't say that, sure I'm the town hero and all but I'm just a plain old wolfdog who just happened to of saved the whole town from a terrible illness." he said with a chuckle. "Any dog with the right motivation could of done it and I had the best motivation I could have, you and Rosy."
"Relax Kai, we're doing this for momma, she needs us, even if you're not enjoying this, we have to do this." said Cachen, a sharp contrast to his brother, he was full of hope and opimisum.
Fang looked back and gave a wink to Tai. "Well are you pups ready? I know I am." he said but looked around and pinned his ears when he saw some humans giving him bad looks, one even said 'He'll end up just like his no good father.'. He whimpered, somewhat upset.
Lena gave a few angry barks at the human that had hurt Fang's feelings.
Rob looked at Fang. "Charlie, I can't believe that people are mad at Fang for what Steele did, I mean I no Steele did something awful but that doesn't mean Fang is the same way."

Charlie nodded, at the moment grabbing Kodi and hooking him up next to Fang.
"Well, not back then." Jenna smiled lightly. "But look at everyone around you, they probably wouldn't have had the courage to do what they are doing. For goodness sake, your Grandchildren are following your influence!" she seemed happy, and paroud at once, to have such a wonderful mate.
"Not that I don't wanna do it," mumble Kai as he looked up a bit. "Just I'd rather chew my foot off more than doing this. I got this gut feeling this isn't where I'm needed." he was right, of course.
Tai gave a light blush when Fang winked to her, but the mood quickly changed when some humans began to bad mouth him. Her light airy happiness changed to a deep growl, followed by short barks.
Charlie sighed, standing up and ushering people farther away. "Don't crowd the dogs." he said sternly, looking back. "I know, Rob, but people don't see inside. All they know is the background and appearance. They know Steele did a horrible thing, and are taking it out on Fang."

Balto nodded. "I just guess I can be a good role model when need be, I also know I've got a good heart, that's who I am." he said, using the same meaning as Aleu used to.
Cachen chuckled. "Bro, you're gonna do a great job and I know it, you're one of the bravest dogs I've ever seen, I'm proud to be your bro."
Fang petted Kai and Lena with his big paws. "Calm down, you don't need to get worked up over me." he said.
"We just don't like seeing people treat you bad." said Lena, pinning her little ears.
"Just like they did with Balto, just because his mother was a wolf, they didn't see his heart, that he was good, he had to prove it, well I guess so will Fang." said Rob. "What ever happened to Steele anyway?" asked Rob before going over to Jenna. "Come on girl, time to get hooked up." said Rob, motioning her towards the sled.

Jenna chuckled lightly, giving a nod. "And that's why I love you." she gave a soft wink before looking up at Rob. With soft sigh, Jenna stood and placed herself next to the human.
"And there's in which, lies the problem, Cachen." Kai said, looking back at his little brother. "I'm not a dog."
Kodi chuckled, nudging Fang with a paw. "C'mon, they're just worried about their 'uncle'." he grinned jokingly.
Tai nodded, looking at Fang with big eyes. "You're nothing like your Dad!...No one sees that, and I'm upset about it. We're upset about it. you have a great heart, and a caring spirit."
Charlie shrugged, checking each of the lines. "I don't know. You think he'd be dead? No, Steele was something of an endurance racer than anything. He could still be alive."

Balto nodded and followed, he nuzzled Jenna after Rob had harnessed them both in. "And I love you too, same reason." he said.
Cachen chuckled. "You're half dog, half wolf, besides, did that stop grandpa from doing this?"
Fang chuckled. "Thank Tai, you've got a good heart too." he said. "And after this is over, everyone will know that I'm not a self obsessed egomaniac like my dad."
"You got that right." said Lena.
Rob nodded. "Steele did have that, he made it home alive in the blizzard after all and his breed is a tough one, Malmutes are tough dogs."

Jenna laughed lightly, leaning her head against Balto's shoulder for a quick second. "Aw" she fluttered her eyes.
Kai shook his head. "Mom's a full wolf, Cachen, we're all mostly wolf. And can't help but feel like this. I am what I am. But I'm doing this for Momma."
Tai chuckled, giving a nod. "Then everyone can finally recognize you as a good guy." she smiled.
Charlie nodded and once more stood up. "True. That's very true. There' a more hearty dog breed."

Balto touched his nose to Jenna's. He loved her so much, there was nothing anyone could ever do to change his mind and he knew there wasn't anyone or anything that could change hers.
Cachen nodded. "True, well I'm feeling like grandpa right about now."
Fang nodded. "And you'll all be heroes just like your grandpa, ironic isn't it? My dad hated Balto and yet I idolize him."
Lena looked at Kodi. "Papa, you ready?"
Rob nodded. "But I'd say Fang is probably a bit tougher, being part wolf and all." said Rob. "He's also got a very diffrent personilty, he's a very friendly dog all the time, Steele could get downright mean around other dogs, and humans if you weren't praising him."

Jenna smiled, pressing her nose against Balto's in return. She was as deep in love with him as ever. Nothing would shatter her feelings for him.
Kai chuckled. "How so?' he asked, an eyebrow raised.
Kodi grinned. 'well, hey now, we're all not gonna be as great as my dad." he joked beofre turning back to Lena. "Ready as I'll ever be; you sure you four want to do this? No backing out after this."
Tai smiled, shaking her head. "No way! I'm not backing out!"
Charlie nodded. "That's right, too. the closest to wolves would be malamutes, huskies, shepards...Things like that. They're all pretty good creatures." he smiled down at Fang, rubbing the hybrid's head. "This apple sure fell far from the tree then." he chuckled.

Balto chuckled. "Let's try to avoid the grizzly this time, alright? And the frozen lake, and the cliff, and..." said Balto.
Cachen chuckled. "Well I'm almost his twin and I'm doing just about the same thing he did, minus the outcast thing."
Fang smiled, liking having his head rubbed. He licked the man's hand at the comment about him being a lot diffrent than his dad.
"I'm not backing out, I'm staying in this and we're going to save the town!" said Lena, excited.
"True." said Rob. "Of course I'd have to say Balto is a lot tougher than Steele, when I looked over his injuries that night, he shouldn't even of been standing let alone done what he did! He had a concusion, a mild case of hypothermia, and some briused ribs I can only ask how he got, if that isn't endurence, I don't know what is!"

Jenna chuckled, pushing Balto slightly. "We'll steer clear of everything, alright? That grizzly had to have died by now...right?" she asked.
Kai laughed, his solemn eyes glazing over in pain; as if he'd cry. His baby brother, harnessed to a sled, talking about bloodshed. He couldn't get such a picture from his mind: his own brother, curled up in pain, eyes shut forever..Kai didn't realize he was staring into nothingness for about a minute, and now longer. Tears had begun to form in the corners of his eyes.
Kodi smiled as he saw Charlie stroke Fang's head; now some humans were starting to get it.
Tai too grinned, looking with an almost proud air to Fang. He loved people, and he only wished they care back. Her tail slowly began to wag.
Charlie nodded, giving a soft chuckle as Fang's tounge hit his bare hand, which he rewarded with a gentle rub to the cheek. "That dog is something else. It's like he has a sense of right and wrong..."

Balto nodded. "Of course, if not from age, from falling in the lake." he said. "I think it was hibernating and didn't like being woke up."
Cachen pinned his ears. "Kai...what's wrong? You're crying..."
Fang smiled, his big fluffy tail wagging softly. He looked up at Charie, eyes full of thanks and compassion, the compassion was always there, humans just rarely looked for it.
Lena smiled. "We picked good owners sis." she said.
"I think dogs are smarter than people give them credit for, I mean Steele had us tricked for years and Balto is a living esample of dogs knowing whats right." said Rob.

Jenna nodded in agreement. "You're right. Probably from Boris yelling like he did though." she chuckled.
Kai's eyes closed, turning his head out of Cachen's veiw. "Nah, I...I um, got some snow in my eye." he couldn't shake off his terrible dread.
"well, Steele was a crafty dog; He never lost a race. I wonder how that was." said Charlie as looked back into Fang's eyes, showing a gentle care to his own eyes. He leaned down, talking to Fang in a soft tone. "You go make a fool of your old man, alright?" he chuckled faintly.
Tai nodded, looking at Lena "Yea, we did sis, we did."

"Well I tried to tell him to be quiet but he kept yelling at Muk and Luk." said Balto with a laugh. "There are other dangerious things, mountian lions, moose, oh and wolvrines, I think I don't like the wolvrines the most, not only are they visious, they stink something awful, almost as bad as a skunk! Phew!" he said, laughing as he put a paw to his nose.
Cachen pinned his ears but decided not to go further. He nudged Kodi's back. "Papa?" he asked, trying to get his papa's attention, he wanted to talk to him, help himself get rid of the ansity.
Fang nodded to the man, smiling. He nuzzled the man softly, feeling cared for. He gave the man a big wet doggy kiss with his tounge.
"They're so nice to poor Fang, he deserves to be treated nice." said Lena.
Rob nodded. "Well after some of his races I had to tape up some bite marks on the other dogs, I thought it might of been from each other but I'm begining to think otherwise."

Jenna laughed. "But,you told me yourself, they just dissapeared. you tihnk your Mother was helping you, didn't you?" she didn't laugh, but she did give a slight smile.
Kodi blinked, looking at Cachen with a slight smile. "What's wrong son?" he asked in a Fatherly tone.
Charlie laughed lightly, patting Fangs back gently. "you'll all do this town proud, boy." he reluctantly stood, laughing once more at rob's statement. "Glad you understand now. Those teeth marks seemed too wide for the other dogs to have done it, don't you think?"
"you're right." Tai said, nodding to Fang. "Look how happy he is. He deserves it for who he is. Not who Steele was."
