I'm 22 also, and my love for Balto is a secret, to a degree. My dad and sister know, but they don't say anything. My coworkers don't care, and it's never come up in conversation. I never told my friends in highschool, or in college; not because i didn't want to, but just because it never crossed my mind as being something to keep a secret or to tell them. But i must say as i read through these i began to feel real old Most of the people on this topic are still in highschool. My advice to all you young pups, go to college, plaster your room with posters and screen grabs of Balto, and if your roommate asks if you like Balto, calmly reply, "yes." Don't worry about highschool, as people get older they tend to be less judgmental, at least in what i see. So why be worried about loving a fictional/real character who's half wolf. I grew up in wolf hating hell, and it wasn't all that bad. Anyways, i'm rambling. So yes and no, i have a secret crush on Balto.

My love for Balto isn't really a secret. My family knows it and some people at school have figured it out (via youtube) which sucks because they tease me about Balto and wolves and stuff :/

I keep my love for balto a complete secret. If my mom and dad knew they wouldn't ay anything, but they would think something is wrong with me. If my sis knew i would be laughed out of the house, and if my friends knew, i wouldn't have friends, so yeahhh it's definately a big secret

If your friends would ditch you over the fact you like a movie, then sorry to say but they must not be your real friends. :/
As for me, my best friends know and they don't care. My parents, cousins, etc. know and they don't care. Of course, my siblings are in their 30s so they can't tease me much but one of my sisters still gives me wedgies x_x
The people at school tease me just cause I'm the "quiet" one I guess you could say. I only talk to my best friends (which I have about 2 or 3). I try to talk to others, but not as much because I'm not the most social person around. I also like to behave in class so no one ever really catched me talking. If I talk to someone I don't usually talk to it's suddenly "a big thing". So I guess, in a way, they might be teasing me because they want me to talk more. But I'm not sure. They only tease me. ONLY me. It's not fair DX And unlike my family and best friends, I didn't tell them. They found out my youtube account, saw some of my videos were Balto and Spirit AMVs and they started going like "wolves, horses, Balto, Spirit" really loud in school just to mess with me. I just ignore them but since that's not workin (I've been doing that for a LONG time now; almost a year) next time they do it I'm gonna tell them to get a life because they sell em cheap on ebay.

I've always personally gone on this simple rule of thumb to see how good your friends truly are. "A friend will tell you it's a bad idea, a good friend will bail you out of jail after that bad idea, and a true friend will be in jail with you saying, 'well, i guess we messed up this time.'" To put this in the context of Balto " A friend will laugh at your Balto obsession, a good friend will tell you he likes your hobby, and a true friend will ask you, 'did you like Balto 2 or 3 better?'"

I used to try to keep it secret. I do keep my visits here a secret, but I havent been worrying about deleting it form my history and everything for several years now. Within the family something will prompt me to bring it up, like when my brother declared Wall:E a fantastic date movie, I had to comment with a Wall:E < Balto

Simply because the original Balto was the best animated film ever produced. Also, I have its cast to argue my point. Kevin Bacon was in plenty of action movies

James Horner wrote the soundtrack to alien (another fantastic movie)


Balto 1 was put together so well that it will stay with me forever. Balto 2 and 3, I suffered through both. The only way I got though Balto 3 was a fellow fan dragging me through it, telling me to do it for Balto 1, and our Half Life 2 mod.

So I did. I dont intend to do it again.

Im not sure what it is, but I always found those two films obnoxious. Perhaps they were just directed younger.

Yeah, nobody knows i like Balto except for my BEST freind in the WHOLE world (Hunter (the wolf) ). if i told ANYONE id get teased to no end, not even my family knows. And ofcourse all of u guys, but u dont know what i look like ....yet xp

i have the same problem but luckly i have the bestest freind who also likes ballto so she wont make fun of meh. but if ur scared tht ur family or your freind will make fun of u, u need to get a new best freind who wont make fun if you for soething you like. and as for your family they should know everything, i tell my sisters EVERYTHING and they never make fun.
