well, yeah. There's nothing wrong with putting romance in a story. It makes it more interesting. But we don't need to know the specific details of what the two people in love do when...yeah.

I agree with dingo romance is fine but if the talk gets to sexual than it should be allowd

Forgive me for not reading the other posts but, I think that it should NOT be forbidden. Most of the time you are warned about "adult" themes such as violence, foul language and sexual stuff. And really it's your choice to read that sertain fic or not. Why read something that you know is going to be bad and you dont like the violence, any kind of sexuality, and swearing? Your usualy warned, are you not? It wouldnt be fair if some of the best( I dont mean that in a grose or bad way) fics are taken down because younger kids deside to read them. I think they should not be banned and if you dont like it then dont read it...

Thats true.

good thinking tiktac I mean people can do somethin Like with Kodi and Kirby but if you use to characters who have a major age difference than not only is it wrong but There sick 2

I havent read every1 elses opinions, but i think that ALL fics should be allowed, as long as they arent like 'penthouse forums' explicit, and loke the script to the texas chainsaw massacre gore.. this is my opinione

I'm sorry to say but, i'm getting very anoyed at how many gay fanfics their on this site. I mean come on this is a kid's site! These fanfics also cause fights.

Right, Kakashi! Exactly. And no matter the "politically-correct" rhetoric, young kids should NOT be exposed to homosexual topics or material, anymore than they should be exposed to that which presents pedophilia, gore, extreme violence, or even explicit HETEROsexual material. Kids have a need to be protected, no matter the complaints of those who feel their "rights" as writers are being trampled upon, or how "healthy" some people THINK it is to expose kids to profanity, sexually-explicit (or sexually-DEVIANT), and extremely violent material! And sure...it STARTS with the parents. But web masters and administrators also have that responsibility...at least, when their site is labeled as "kid-friendly". It should be all or none. And we're not there yet.

If there can be some sort of security setting that will only let users over the age of, say, 16 or 17, read the types of fics that go into a bit more detail, that would work wonderfully, but if no such setting can be used, then yes, explicitly sexual fics should not be allowed.

Well, as we all know, that really cannot feasibly be done. The technology apparently IS out there, but is not easy to come by. Or so I have heard. And I haven't heard much. But I agree with your logic here. Totally.

Ice Husky wrote:
I would like to remind everyone that we fell in love with the movie for the beauty and innocence of the story, and not for the millions of possibilities for R-rated fanfictions.

Jeez...that had to be the most profoundly wise thing I've heard ANYONE say in this entire discussion (including the extended discussion beyond the confines of this topic thread). My hat's SERIOUSLY off to you, Ice Husky! WELL said! Totally profound! :)

Well, sorry to hear that. I totally agree that they cause fights, but if only people wont insult other people, then fights wouldent be created.

That, ArcticWolf, is a two-way street. Writers of homosexual material may be offended by people criticizing the existence of such material on this site, and they may have a right to express their offense. But so do those who are offended BY that material have that right to expression.

And for those writers to then turn around and trash them for it (for doing no less than the writers did when they complained about their "rights" being trampled upon), and imply that they may also be biggoted, is childish and enflammatory.

kids are warned, and if they choose to read it that is their own fault. it is a free country, and if it is not the us, then that is their own fault. kids can get in trouble for it. that is their own decision to make, and doing that would take away from all the people who like ot use their creative talents. i think it should stay.

I think the Violance should be able to stay but we cant have them go into too much sexual details, Pg-13 should be the highest

Well, now THAT'S sound logic. This web site was not created by an American, nor does it exist only in American cyberspace. And yet, according to YOUR measure of reason, it's the fault of a kid from another country because they read it even if the laws in their country are tougher. Yeah...or rather, NO.

Well it deppends. Licking and nuzzling could be considered sexual content. I dont think that should be stopped. But mating isnt nessasarly a bad thing aslong as its not graphical at all(in other words kept at a minimum level). 0_o sorry i'm trying not to make myself sound like a perv.
