That sounds good Steet. I'll compose a PM for you sometime today.

By a "rant board" I mean a place where people could post about what is bothering them (only in relation to this site) and have that answered by a global mod, or you yourself. It would have to be tightly-moderated, in order to keep people from flaming and bullying. But people need to vent...they need to speak their minds on what's bothering them, without fearing that they're either going to be banned, or have their topics locked, or posts deleted, or else have their concerns bluntly dismissed or written off by those who CAN do something about them (or at least TRY to do something about them). And where people can discuss an issue. Yes, such a board would be tough to moderate, and would require almost constant monitoring. But I do believe it would also be a big help.

And, I might add, without fear of having to deal with the small handful of "older members" (long-standing members, in other words) who lie in wait, ready to pounce on and attack any post of such a nature because THEY don't think those people have a right to voice their concerns. Those particular individuals need to keep their mouths shut, or at least behave in an acceptable, respectable manner.

I am not sure if I feel disapointed or something else, but I am abit of alot of things, one of them is disapointment, because you guys are giving up, thats not who you guys used to be, you guys always never gave up, you always put every bit of yourselves to help and do so much more, this is the last thing id exect from you guys, where did it all go, where did all your will go? where did all your fight go? where? because you guys are not ones who give up, but your giving up, what heck, well it's your choise to give up or stay, it seems your choise has been desided, i'll miss you guys, but hopefully you guys gain your fight back, same with your will, and maybe yourselves. . . .

Woah, hold on a second! Here we are, screaming and ripping our hair off over the BAD things about Balto Source when we should be focusing on the GOOD things! So what, people fight? I know you can't handle it (I personally cannot stand bullying but fighting, I have been under a family feud for the last six months which has between my family and my foster family, trust me: it's the worst feeling ever to be caught in the middle of a family feud and get blamed for it), so I'm used to it. My so-called friend has turned into my worst enemy because of it and she spreds false rumours that the reason I have moved from her house (PS2 in tow, which is the reason why she's been a big crybaby because she no longer has access to any of my things) was because I was a lair and made her mother go bonkers, my true friends reckon I did the right thing, moving away from there!

You won't believe this but she was known around here as Silver the Wolf, so she's obviously not Balto Source meterial, isn't she? People who fight here are in one of their stupid moods and say sorry but others just come to mess the whole system up! Yeah sure, we've all had stupid experiences like that. I accept that you are leaving though I shall miss you. Goodbye!

Okay...a lot can happen when someone is at school, apparently. I thought this topic was locked. Anyway, Steet, I have absolutely nothing against Balto Source and I never will. I think it's a great site for discussing and for fooling around with very nice people. However, ever since the removal of art (at least I'm guessing that this is when it started happening, I'm not entirely sure), people have been starting wars purposefully as if there are no rules anymore. It started a chain reaction. First the artists were fighting, then it somehow spread to everyone else. This is why I can't blame you for adding mods. What else were you to do to prevent more wars?

The only reason I was going to leave was because I was frustrated at something that had occured earlier yesterday. But, now that I'm calmer, I'm beginning to see how stupid it was of me. I acted on impulse, and I apologize for that.

If you guys have any questions, you may ask. I'm just going to take back what I said and hope that I didn't hurt anyone.

My comments were directed to Steet, Togo. I will be PMing him, but I see no need to PM your or any other moderator about this.



a) If you think, Togo, that I have secret alliances with certain mods, you're wrong. Being friends with certain of them does not equate to my thinking that they are automatically better than the others, or that I have some secret arrangements or allegiances with them. There are some OTHER mods on this site I'm friendly with, and yet I still think they do a poor job. But that doesn't mean that I don't consider them to be friends. So what of it then? Let me toss your kind of question right back at you. Whom do you think I'm referring to? Is it because the one person you think I'm referring to has simply been friendly or sympathetic to me in the past, when I've been attacked? Or because that mod may have unbanned me when I was banned for no logical reason...because of these irritating and incessant little ego wars some people here seem to LOVE to start? Man, I could say a LOT more about this to you, but I am going to hold my tongue. I won't be baited into ruining this topic, or into a flame war by you.

b) I never said that adults automatically make better mods than teenagers, and I did point out there are exceptions among the teen mods who do a pretty good job, and act with almost total fairness, logic, and impartiality. You might disagree with me on that (were you to know whom I am referring to, which you will not - even though you will continue to believe that you think you know who I am referring to). But it really doesn't matter to me. However, adults generally CAN make better mods than most teenagers, and CERTAINLY than any pre-teen.

c) Based on the track record of some mods here (that I've seen, or seen other people complain about), maybe age SHOULD be a handicap to becoming a mod. Or, at the very least, maybe mods should be subject to a periodic review of their performance. If they fail that review, they should be removed from their posts.


What is that supposed to mean? MUST you always look at my posts as an implied attack upon you? And then, MUST you always counter what you believe to be an attack with another (whether direct or indirect)?? Even in the first post I made here, you were already assuming that I was inferring you in statements I made. And you've done that before...recently, and even before that. Now, unless I say your member name, perhaps you should stop assuming I'm talking about you when I post something. Right now, you're coming off as rather paranoid.

Okay, well, since we've each said our peace on that, I think it's time to get back to the topic itself. I have no more to say on this that can't be said to Steet in PM, like he asked of me (further clarification on my suggestions, in other words). I'd rather not see this dragged on here. Other people have things they no doubt wish to say about this topic, and I don't want to see it devolve to the point where it will be locked.
