I still say it's Start The Machine, but everything else is pretty good too.

i was bored and on the music thread as usual so i decided to bring old, dead topics back to life

well um angels and airwaves is a pretty cool band
i think i prefer this band over plus 44
aka the other "blink" band.
because they have more instrumental stuff. and thats always cool.
i haven't really heard any songs besides the two singles though.

Ok, this topic has been kinda dead for some time, but I wanted to announce that AVA's new album "I-Empire" is out! I just bought it today! I've yet to listen to it, but from reviews on the album I've read on iTunes, Last.fm, and on Wikipedia, it sound awesome! It's apparently really epic like the last one, but (to the critics, at least) better than the previous album! I'll edit this when I've listened to it.

EDIT:

Wow! Dang, this album rocks! I gotta say, it's really hard to pick out a favorite song from all of these... but some of the better ones (which only exceed the others by small margins) are probably "Call To Arms" "Everything's Magic" and "Secret Crowds".

Well, after listening to this album a few more times, I've got two new favorite songs:

Star of Bethlehem
True Love

These songs are technically the same, but just split into one 2 1/2 minute part (Star of Bethlehem: all instrumental) and one 6 minute part (True Love: both instrumental and vocal) If you listen to it on a CD that doesn't break between tracks, it sounds like the entire thing was one track! In fact, before that happened, both were a single, 8 minute song called "Star of Bethlehem" I listened to it on AVA's MySpace account when it was up there before this album came out (just listened, not downloaded). It is kinda a Christmas/winter holiday song. It's kinda Christmas-ish because it's called "Star of Bethlehem", which has religious implications, but it's not really about Christmas, but it does have some references to the holiday season, with lyrics like:

The snow, has come down,
on top of everything...

and

The lights, they peer out
of the leafless trees...

Yeah, so if you want some more current music to listen to this season other than Christmas carols, definitely listen to these two songs.
