*gasp!* Here's a quick TLM3 update:
Here's the bad news:
Melody is not going to be in the third film . . . .
*sigh* Thus proving that this will be a prequel DTV . . .
But alas, there is some good news:
Apparently, this is the last scheduled DTV sequel for the DisneyToons Studios . . . after the February release of Cindy3. (Meaning . . . no more craptacularally-animated sequels/midquels!) I'm not sure what this means for Peter Pan 3 . . . . *sigh*
That is all. Continue with your . . . animation ramblings! ^__^

Actually Tinker Bell and Peter Pan 3 are two separate movies (from what I've heard).
The Tinker Bell one is actually more of a Peter Pan "prequel" and it's more based on Disney's recent "Fairies" franchise (which has Tinker Bell as the main character among her fairy friends). I'm hearing that Peter Pan 3 is supposedly like Return to Neverland - Jane's daughter (they must have some thing with girls and Peter Pan, eh?) is the star. But I do believe this is a work in progress at the moment . . .
But this is totally off-topic! XD
Back to the TLM3 discussion - I'm still waiting for a decent trailer for it. On the TLM: PE release and the recent F&H2, the same teaser with the shipwreck and the sinking locket was shown. I find this quite ridiculous that Melody's cut from the third movie if that was her locket that was briefly shown at the end of the teaser . . . . What ties the locket, Ariel and Melody to the plot of TLM3?
(Since this is a prequel, perhaps we'll find out? My theory: The locket was originally a memento of Ariel's mother, given to her daughter when she was the last born . . . then something happened to her and perhaps Triton decided to pass the locket onto Ariel's firstborn, Melody . . . I dunno. It's just a thought, but it makes sense, right? Perhaps it's an heirloom?)
*sigh* Disney, Disney . . . why must you confuse me so?

Well, the Tinker Bell one really grabs my interest actually . . . but the TLM3 teaser is mainly nothing more than clips from the two previous films and different music. It's just filled with mystery.
Gosh, imagine if the Balto sequels had trailers in the form of the TLM3 teaser . . . O__O *dies*

Baaaaad idea.
Disney sequels are bad. It's obvious they're doing it for the money.

It is VERY obvious.

Same here.
Ah, the TLM TV series. It would be nice to have that released on DVD like some of the other shows (Darkwing Duck, Gummi Bears, etc.) . . .
Anyway, back on topic: I'm hearing that one character from the TV series, the merboy Urchin, is supposedly returning for TLM3. I'm not sure if he'll stay in, but it would be total homage to the series if they did! (Heh, I never liked Urchin much, so I wouldn't care.)

SimbasGuard wrote: Not to get off topic, But According http://www.animated-views.com/ Gummi Bears is coming to DVD. It would be nice to see Urchin(No pun intended) again I wonder how He would fit into the plot?
=off-topic= - Actually, the first 3 seasons of Gummi Bears is out on DVD already. As is the first seasons of other late-1980s Disney shows. =end=
I'm not sure myself. If I remember his character any, he was originally a merboy that was on the wrong side of the law, but he ended up changing his ways and became friends with Ariel. Since the TV series itself was a prequel (as in, the events mainly all took place a year or so before the events of the actual movie), anything could happen.
But I just heard more news: Apparently, the movie is going to be like a flashback with Ariel and Eric - they might be telling stories of their youth: Ariel's being under the sea as the youngest daughter of the mighty sea king, and Eric's life as . . . a young prince in a castle near the sea. Of course we know very little of Eric's life (since TLM was more on Ariel and the merfolk life), so that would be a nice little romp into their pasts.
Gosh, it's starting to sound a lot like Cindy2 here . . . but we have until 2008-ish!
Here's hoping for the best, Disney. *crosses fingers*
