They did. But I am like a Dog Breed expert. I know almost everything about dogs including their breed.

Steele, I think, is a husky. I have searched and searched and found out that Malamutes don't seem to have the same markings that Steele has, and they are much more bulky. Husky's have the same marking as Steele though

Actually, they can have the very same markings as Siberian Huskies, in many cases (though you rarely see light-colored ones...most of what I have seen are black & white or gray & white).

Well, I didn't mean it wasn't possible. I just have done a lot of research and haven't found any ;) I think Steele's look is very husky though and I have explained in an article on BS why I think he is a husky!

 I'm not trying to make you look bad, Highland. I'm just trying to help. Here, have a look at this site (which I posted earlier, with photos...on p.2 of this topic)...and specifically the many photos there: http://www.malamute.org. This site proves, conclusively, for those who interpret the American Kennel Club's rules for "acceptable" Alaskan Malamutes to mean that Malamutes cannot possibly have blue eyes, that they are indeed mistaken (and, as I've said, the AKC standard mentions nothing of the fact that they CANNOT have blue eyes). I know you didn't mention that, but I wanted to put that out there again because, sure as anything, another member will post here that Steele "can't possibly be an Alaskan Malamute because he has blue eyes, and Malamutes never have blue eyes".

Oh, its ok BaltoSeppala! I knew you weren't trying to make me look bad or anything! I wasn't angry ^^ I could never get angry over something like that. People have different thoughts, I guess knowone will ever know about Steele being Husky or malamute. I have to accept what others say and not take it in a bad way. And I knew you weren't being nasty or anything! When your wrong your wrong, when your right your right, its as simple as that ;)

Steele's an Alaskan Malamute. He's too big to be a Siberian Husky, and I doubt a mix could get as big as Steele.

I still think he's a husky, but perhaps his size is supposed to imply of his superiority and dominance over the other dogs?
