For all of you, I voted yes. But after the mess I was drawn into in the last thread (which was no fault of Whitewolf, Dingo, Tibb, Kari, or Maya), I must go with my original statement (in that thread), and politely decline to attend if it succeeds in being arranged. But I wish you the best of luck! And a safe and happy event! Based on the dedication I've seen from you all, I know you can succeed!
Don't let ANYONE pressure you into not doing something you want to do! If you have the support of your parents and a good plan, and have covered all the bases, WHO CARES what the naysayers...say. You're always going to have a few of those. And a few who speak of dire consequences and horrific dangers. PFF. As long as you're careful, and you plan well, and involve whatever adults are necessary (parents, hotel management, local law enforcement, emergency services), then you have every right to hold it, and it CAN succeed. It doesn't matter HOW many people attend...only that it is a success and that everyone who DOES attend had a memorable experience.
Overly-paranoid people in this world are what cause unrest...and keep people from having a good time.
Really. The best of luck to you all! I'm with you in spirit!

In my personal opinion, since many people live in various parts of the US and Europe, I think that the most likely thing to work is if there were just BS gatherings that took place for those that lived in certain areas. For example: If I wanted to host one in my general area, then it would be for those who either lived there, lived close to there, or who are willing to travel from wherever they are to where the party thing is. Less people, yes, but more likely in my personal opinion.

There are tons of rules and all but I'm not going to post them here coz it'd take forever and it's only gonna work if enough people vote yes to it, there are loads of other topics in here that list all the rules so you should check 'em out.

BS -> Didn't you say this would be your only message in this topic? You just can't help it it seems?
About the whole trip thing, I have never changed my opinion : I've always thought it wasn't something realistic, something that could really happen. That's why I said I was not going to get involved into this and letting you do what you want.

Wow. I'm sorry Steet. I was just letting the trip supporters know how I voted, and that they should stay the course in spite of naysayers. I wasn't flaming, nor baiting an argument. I was wishing them luck! Gosh - I forgot that I wrote that one statement in the last post. I'm human. I made a mistake. If you want, ask the moderator to remove the post...I can't...or, if you want, feel free to remove it.

Well, I would like to go, but it would be like a 5 hour road trip from where I am. Unless it happens when I'm in college and I happen to be going to a college in Chicago, then I couldn't go for 2 reasons:
1. My car gets 18 Milse Per Gallon, which is pretty bad mileage
2. My parents will not approve of me meeting people I don't personally know, and only know through the internet, since they've watched Dateline too much.
It is more likely that I'll be hosting a BS gathering in whichever city my college is in, just for those that live in that area.
BTW, I'm voting yes because with all this planning and stuff, I think it would kind of be a waste to cancel this thing. Also, just for the off chance that I can go!
