Yes, that would be a good idea, but we'd have to decide what part of the US we would meet in (for example, which state.) I'm sure that none of us want to travel very much.

hehe. I live a total of 45-55 mins. away from Wisconsin!! But yeah. Farter east would be ok, I've always wanted to go out east!

I could possible arrange one in the Maryland-Pennsylvania area, if anyone lives near there, or in that range. Although I doubt that many people would show up, we could give it a shot. Anyway, are permission slips via e-mail a good idea?

Well I think this whole having seperate meetings things is a great idea, so long as enough people would agree to show up, also if we do end up doing this we are going to have to get more organized, like having some one to head up this thing, enlist 'official' organizers and start thinking sensibly about everything, meaning lots of paperwork and time and also I did as I said I would and checked out past fan-events (I used TLK events as it's the closest thing to balto) security was very tight and there was so much it really would'nt be worth listing unless we actually go ahead with it (it would take up a lot of room) personally I think it would be worth giving this thing a shot (hey, at least we'd get an A for effort) no, really I think we could do it so long as Steet says it's OK and we get properly organized!
Also, about locations, I would suggest a meeting in britain aswell!!

Hmmm...if people would be willing to give out their location (by private means, of course), then maybe we can use that data to pinpoint a good location for everyone. Not just, "Oh, we all agreed on having the meeting in California." -- it limits opportunities.

As most people said, I don't think it's possible. But I don't prevent you from organizing something if you want to.

Well, I live in Norfolk in England. But I doubt I could go, my mum's really iffy about the internet.

Thank you Steet, I would really like to give it a go if people would be willing to help, if so, we'll need a good information system, it would also be a good idea to create official organizers instead of just everyone all suggesting things randomly, if we do things like that nothing will ever get done, I nominate myself as an organizer but if you guys don't trust me it's OK I am fairly new, I have done similar things before but never anything quite this big, if you are OK with this then it would be best to state why you want to help organize an event eg. not just because you think it would be fun! if were to pull this off we'll need to get ourselves organized before we even think about organizing an event!
