Basicly the Ps3 is going to slot 1st or 2nd, A) Sony has a brand name witch is why some people will buy one. B) Sony has better Developers so that means better games.

Wrongamoondo! Just because they have a "respected" name doesn't automatically mean that they will do well. Nintendo has been the king of gaming for years and when the GCN came out it didn't do well. Secondly, sony doesn't have better developers, I'd say that area is about equal, and as far as better games, most all the good games for the PS3 will be available on the 360. Actually the GTA series has gone exclusively to the 360, which was one of the only reasons that I was looking forward to the PS3. As for the PS3 games being better than the Wii games, think about this... POPULAR titles such as Super Smash Bros. , Mario Kart, Legend of Zelda, and Super Mario will all be coming back to the new system in new forms as well as being able to play the originals. Therefore I can't see how you can say the PS3 will have better games when the Wii will be able to play nearly EVERY nintendo favorite know to man.

Lol respected. They are more known for their problems than their games. They have "DISK READ ERROR" Branded onto their name for the rest of the time that they are a company. And what, from last i remmeber Nintendo has almost al the same develop[ers sony has. Capcom, Namco, Konami, Sega..oh wait thats right sega only is having their classics for Xbox 360 and Wii. Better dev.s does not mean better games. Look at Cat Woman, made by EA but was a pile. Look at Grabbed by the Goolies from Rare..another pile. Good developes does not mean great games..if i wanted to i could list a million games made by good companies that just downright stunk.

That is true about good developers making bad games and Sony does have lesser Known brands that make good games. Sucker Punch, Insomniac, and Naughty Dog have made amazing games for the PS2 only, Sly Cooper, Jak, Rachet and Clank, and Spyro.

i dont know if the Wii will have what it takes to out do the PS3. Most of it comes down to the GameCube. It was described as a "flop" and it didn't accomplish what Nintendo hoped it would, so it kinda hurt Nintendo's image. My local Gamestop took a survey and said most people wouldnt buy the Wii because of fears of it being another GameCube. And that 3 out of 10 people would pick the Wii over the PS3. The Sales Rep. I talked to said the Wii better have some good titles to it, or it might be GameCube all over again. And he said that the cost of the machines shouldnt miss lead you, its about what your getting for that money. Im not going to side with either of them, because i like both systems alot. But I can see what the Sales Rep. getting to

And umm....They said the DS wasnt going to sell well..but then Xmas comes around and their all gone. Its what i see comming.

Why on earth would you get your sources from a game reseller!?! Gamespy, Joystiq, Digg, and most importantly Slashdot! These are the real resources. And the sales rep is wrong! The gamecube was sub-par I'll admit, but come ON, the Wii has just as much potetial as the PS3 AND 360. Don't count it out just because of it's predicessor! People do that too much! For instance when a student is a failer and gets in trouble alot people look down on that students siblings when they make it to that school but that doesn't mean that the second kid is bad. They could be awsome! Don't be so quick to judge and most certainly don't think that the Wii will be cr*p based on its price. You can't base things on price, it just doesn't work. Also look at the DS vs. PSP. People said automatically "Oh the PSP is soooo much better. It has better graphics, better games, and more content." But what are most people pulling out of their pockets today? The DS! Because it has better games, a more conventional online system, and it's cheeper! Cheeper and better! Therefore you can't say that something is cr*p OR awsome till you have proper cause to do so.

Im not exactly saying one is certainly going to be better than the other, i was just using statistics. statistics that may be misguided i'll admit, but still. i guess ive just seen stuff like this happen time and time again. people expect too much out of something, then they get it then they're pissed off b/c its nothing they think it was going to be. Or something is said to do bad, then it just out does everything, like the DS. At this point its hard to tell what's going to do what. we'll just have to wait and see.

If cheeper was better Mercedes, Porsche, Ferrari and Lamborghini would have died. And it's human nature to look at past generations it's not going to stop. If last gen was bad, people are going to think the next gen will be too.

its because of the games. if you treat your games bad and let them get all scratched up, then of course the system cant read the disk

Or they had to recalla ton of their systems because of the error. I was among them. Mine had to get a completely new lazer and i had to pay for shipping....grrr...and yeah it was a big problem. All ym games..are..scratchless. im OCD about it

Jack my PS2 has been great! I got it right when they came out and the only thing I run into is it wont play games that are scratched up. And even my friends have had no problems, excluding the one that his dad fell on it. But I'm not saying the PS2 was by no means perfact, but you know what nither was the GameCube.

Gamecube had very little problems(as in none)...same with my xbox (my xbox fell off a 3 foot table at a lan part and still had 0 problems) But my PS2 crapped out..along with 2 of my friends.
