Well, if you look at the dates : they've released a LBT movie every year or so. They've made two An american Tail in 1999 and 2000, and then, they've made two sequels to Balto in 2000-01 and 2003-04. So I assume they have at least two studios that make DTV sequels; and if they want to keep them both, they have to make another DTV that is not a LBT one during the next two years. (we already know there will be a LBT 12)
I also noticed that they have planned to release all the American Tail movies in France on DVD in March 2005. I don't know if it's a clue for they plan to make another one.

Oh well, as long as they do a decent job, I'm not too adverse to the idea. I just hope they keep a high standard for the films.

And now in the US, they've stopped numbering the LBT sequels . . . . .

A little step closer to Balto 4! According to someone on Balto.de who sent emails to Universal Germany, they would have answered him that a Balto 4 would be planned, they would be waiting for a confirmation. No release date yet (logical) but it would be around late 2006. See the topic here :

Well, that's still a bit early for that (B3 isn't even released in the US yet...) so for the moment, you should just take that as rumors. But...

OMG . . . .

Well, I could have expected this to happen . . . . I guess overseas, WoC has been a success (just wait until it finally hits the US) so it seems obvious that a Balto 4 would probably be on the way.

I just hope that they listen to the comments from the international Balto fans so that they (Universal) can give us what we really want without destroying the Balto series. Maybe adding the other pups in the WQ6 perhaps? Who knows?

Well since it looks like there may be a fourth, I'd like to see the trio again, but the chances of that are slim. They should make one about Jenna maybe.

A Jenna story would be very nice. I would be difficult to make the movie all about Jenna (since the series is called "Balto"), but then again, look at WQ . . . . .

I predict Jenna film for Balto 4! Maybe with Saba or Dingo? (Almost like WQ in a slight way; they both look like her . . . then so did Kodi) Or one of the other two pups? Give them names, Universal! (Oh wait. I already did . . . mine are good . . . Yukon and Denali . . . )

i think more would be welcome. ^^ I mean, it can't hurt to have more unless they botch it up, right? unless, of course, it goes into land before time proportions where the roman numerals after the titles are reaching impossible sizes (MMMCXIV). I was disappointed that Aleu didn't make an appearance in woc, but i guess that's to be expected... I liked her though...

Note: she did make a cameo appearance during the "You Don't Have to Be a Hero" flashback. I was glad that they a least showed the rest of the litter, even though they weren't in it for a long period of time (Like Aleu was in WQ . . . even though I liked that too). They were in there just enough to add color to the scene.

I'm thinking some people want another Balto sequel that has another one of Balto's children making a name for themselves, but I feel that a look at Balto's past would be even better. At least it would probably help answer some questions that us Balto fans want to see answered, whether we like the result or not.
