Thanks Simba...
...still, I hate musical cartoons. I really, really do. I think that sort of thing takes away from the overall impact of any movie (be it cartoon or live-action). Especially because the songs in the cartoons are usually overly-saccharine, insipid, and generally irritating to listen to. I usually fast-forward through them (as I always do in Balto 2 and Balto 3).
It's nice to NOT have to do that in cartoon movies like Balto, Lady and the Tramp, The Secret of NIMH, The Land Before Time, The Sword In The Stone, How The Grinch Stole Christmas (the songs the Who's sing in the square aside, which are very nice songs actually), etc.
I feel the same way. Musical cartoons, which are almost always aimed at toddlers or kids who are just slightly more advanced than toddlers, are just so cheesy... the songs ruin a lot of the good plot... I have "Who You Really Are" from WQ on my iPod (I'm going to delete it when I get the chance...) and I listened to it when I felt like I needed a morale booster, and after like five seconds when the singing started, I thought, "wow, everything that I just had building up for this morale booster, this song just ruined..."
