yes i noticed this as well your not crazy he also fights scar in one battle thingy during a song its normal there both disney movies so yua know there allowed to have characters from one another.

Yeh, there is a reason for this. In the original story of Hercules, he had slain the Nemean Lion. So I guess during the time Hercules became famous from killing monsters, disney added scar into it for kicks and a little fun  Plus if you remember, Zazu suggests that Scar would "make a very handsome throw rug" LMAO!
