blood or snow?

if it comes out of his mouth, then it may be blood...but it doesn't look like it

I think that's just snow, and with the background if seems a little red-orange thing.

I think it was rock fragments, as well! Or, it could have been snow, but since the sky was a dark redish-brown, the shadowing of the snow made it that color...... do u get what I'm saying?

They mostly don't make blood come out in a cartoon in my opinion,and it is also strange.
