Jasper's ears perked up and looked over at Trell, who nodded once. Jasper stood up and walked slowly and cautiously over to the den where Thunder and Skylar were. He was nervous, with Trell not being by his side now for guidance. He looked over at the walls of the den, trying to avoid looking directly into the bigger wolf's eyes. Jasper finally looked up at him, "Y-You howled for me?" He said nervously. Voice shaky with fear.

Thunder looked at him."Watch Skylar while I go out hunting.Were running low on food so I may be gone for a day or two,"Thunder said and walked out.Skylar woke up and whimpered in pain..She looked at Jasper then at her dad walking away.

Jasper looked over at her father, "B-But. Shouldn't someone with a bit more, protectiveness watch over her? Twilight? Trell?" He said, his eyes showing just how desperate he was. He didn't know how to look after anyone and he knew he couldn't protect her. He looked down at Skylar then at Thunder as he left. He couldn't leave Skylar here alone so he stayed put, shaking his head and pacing. He sighed. There was no way he'd be talking his way out of this.

Skylar looked at Jasper...She sighed.Skylar sat up and nipped at her back.It had a lot of dried up blood that was bugging her.She nipped at her back then rubbed her back against the den to get it off.

Jasper could only watch, afraid to touch her and afraid to get near her. He didn't know how she'd react in this small space with another male, especially after those males attacked. He yawned and layed down, watching her out of the corner of his eye. He didn't noticed that Trell was walking around near the lake, other wise he wouldn't left to go and join him.

Skylar laid back down.She looked at Jasper.As the night began to set in Skylar grew cold and started shivering.She curled into a ball but that didn't even help.She laid in the far back corner of the den and tried to stop shivering but couldn't stop.

Jasper looked over at her, nervously doing an army crawl over to her. He inched closer and closer until he was laying next to her. He was soon up against her, trying to keep her warm in the cold air. He layed his head down and waited for her to argue and yell at him. He thought of the worst possible things that could happen in this den. But even worse than her snapping on him, she might tell her father and then he would be in deep trouble. Jasper was super nervous.

Skylar buried her face in his warm soft fur.She whimpered and winced in pain.She looked up at him and a smile grew on her face.Skylar said,"your fine....you wont get in trouble."

Jasper wasn't familiar with this show of affection. He made sure his head avoided her's as she snuggled up closer. When she said he wouldn't get in trouble it only made Jasper that much more insecure. He lowered his head down and whined quietly, avoiding her eyes by looking out into the night sky. Meanwhile Trell was in the den asleep. Jasper was actually waiting for him to join, but he didn't know that Trell wasn't coming to get him.

Skylar fell asleep and curled into a ball.As morning came she awoke but still was cold.

Trell awoke bright and early the next morning, walking over to the lake. He lapped up the water, thinking about how this day would plan out. But wait, where was Jasper. Trell knew he couldn't handle being on his own for too long and it made him concerned, he walked around. Looking for his missing friend. Trell was unaware that he was actually still in pack territory.

Skylar fell back asleep and her dad then walked in.Thunder smiled.He looked at the two and walked out.
