How could a harness keep Balto from jumping/falling out of a plane?? It couldn't!! It's most obvioulsy a seatbealt. And why would they keep a harness on a dog after a race (or in this case rescue mission) if he isn't even a sled dog??? He went out in the wild without anyone with him. And the last time he was on a run, he Was Not Wearing A Harness!!! Just watch the movie again. Or here: look at this pic from the movie!

^ So that can't be a harness form the last run. He WASN'T WEARING ONE!! It's a seatbealt so he won't fall out.
