Rose said simply, the foal was a dark and almost black, but dapples were forming and he would grow into a handsome dapple grey, he didn't have an ounce of her coloring, but she wasn't his mother. She didn't even know who his parents were, they had abandoned him and she had saved him. "he's not mine, but I care for him." she added.

hock crossed Willows face, but he quickly recovered his face and looked at the little colt. He was a dark brownish back color. " Hello Saber, nice to meet you."

Saber looked up at the big stallion. "greetings sir, nice to meet you too sir." Blade stated politely, Rose nuzzled his shoulder and felt proud of her little boy. She looked at the stallion and was amused by his reaction.

He was a nice little colt. Willow looked back at the Mare, " Sorry for being rude, My name is Willow, whats yours?" Willows blue eyes sparked with joy when he seen her look at him.

"Rose. My name is Rose, not a rare name, but I don't mind. Nice to meet you Willow." she said with a friendly smile, she looked at her colt and then back at the stallion.

Rose he thought. What a sweet name! He smiled back at her. She had a beautiful name.

Rose smiled and looked into the storm, she glanced at Willow.

Willow noticed Rose looking at him and said " The storm is going to be lightening up soon." He looked back at the two herds. Everyone was still nervous. He noticed his mother was no were to be seen, then he knew, he would never see her again. She had told him that it was time to pass on. He was sad but knew it was coming.

Rose nodded, she glanced back at the herd, her father swished his tail and beckoned her over by jerking his head. "I have to go." she said and walked over to her father, Saber followed her.

He nodded as she passed but said nothing. He walk back to his own herd. They greeted him and the foals ran up and nuzzled him, before returning back to their mothers. They haven't noticed yet, but they will.

Rose nuzzled her father's shoulder and he gazed at her with soft brown eyes, the herd moved happily into the open, it wasn't natural for them to be in an enclosed area, she led them walking next to her father. He stopped and as she started to argue with what he wad doing, he nipped at her side and shook his head, she whinnied a stressed reply and he nuzzled her side before turning and walking into the trees. Her herd was waiting for her, all she could do was go to them.

He seen the Midnight herd going. He knew that it was safe to return. He looked at Rose. He didnt want her to go. He knew it was wrong to make her stay, so all he could do was feel his heart break as he seen her get farther and farther away. A small tear sliped down his cheek.

Rose cried inside, her herd needed her, that's what she knew. She looked back at the Cing herd "Maybe I'll see you later" she called back. She smiled and kept going.

"Maybe" he whispered back. He cried softly that night. His herd didnt notice him. Early that morning the sky cleared and he set out back to there territory. He barley slept last night. He kept getting nightmares.

Rose stayed with the herd and watched over them, they were vulnerable, all mares ad a few foals, but she'd do her best.
