Marcus walked by him and slapped him on the back. John yelled out and looked at Marcus like, 'Are you crazy?!' Marcus withdrawed his hand and burst into laughter moments after. John grinned and him and shook his head. Your lucky your my friend. He joked. Punching him playfully.

Magic rented a surf board and failed miserably, tumbling off it many times, she was already a klutz. She kept trying though and after about fifty failed attempts, she managed to stay on for at least thirty seconds before falling again, people laughed at her, but she didn't mind. Not at all.

John ~
He was good on a surf board but didn't surf much anymore. Go with the wave. He instructed from the beach. He knew a thing or two about surfing. All the guys did. John chuckled.

Magic took his advice, but still was pretty bad, she fell several more times, but stayed on longer, besides, she reminded herself. Practice makes perfect. She never got frustrated and kept an open mind to what everyone said. She never ever got angry. Or impatient. She just wasn't that kind of person.

John ~
Move your left foot up a little and right foot inward more. He said and stood on the edge of the water. Letting his feet get when, he folded his arms and watched. The guys could tell there would be a connection with them sooner or later.

Magic once again responded and did as he said, she had even more success, but it wasn't something that she could exactly learn over night or anything. She shook her head, besides, the waved jolted her as they crashed and stopped being waves, which made her feel like a beached whale before she would go back out and surf again.

John ~
See? He said with a grin, referring to her success. He smiled and looked at the guys who were whispering some things amongst each other. John rolled his eyes. It's not even like that you goof balls. He said and the guys roared with laughter.

After a while, she returned the surf board and sat at her spot again, the sun started to set and she figured it was time to pack up, she changed back into her real clothes, put on her glasses (Everything had been blurry from far away when she had been swimming) and went to see if the guys were going too, because she honestly didn't know the way back.

He and the guys had gotten changed a few moments ago and they were already loading up their trucks and things. John smiled and patted the side of his old chevy truck. It ran beautiful. He hopped in the drivers seat and started the truck. Waiting for Magic to get to her car.

Magic got in her car and buckled up, turning on the car and d following the guys back. She thanked them and said she had had a fun time before going home to falling asleep on her little bed. She slept more soundly then she ever really had. Ever. She was warn out from the day at the beach.

He drove home and parked his truck in the front yard. He walked in the house and shut the door. He took about a 3 hour nap before he had to wake up, get a shower, eat something, and get ready for a long day at work.

Magic woke to her alarm clock at four o clock, she got up and got in a quick shower, grabbed a protein shake and git in her car, driving to work. She got there and immediately got to work. She was typing a article when a voice came over the box above her door. "Magic, please report to the boss." she stood and walked down the hall, the boss was the man who owned the new york times, he motioned for her to sit and she did. "Magic, our Executive writer quit. I want you to take his old job. Your the boss now, the only one higher than you is me." he said, "Now go to you new office." he said, she thanked him multiple times, then moved her stuff into her new office and getting to work.

John ~
He also awoke to his alarm clock. He pulled himself out of bed and got a shower, a nice shave, and breakfast. He heard meows coming from Boss and so he fed and watered her. Stroking her and walking out the door to his squad car. John rode about 30 minutes in silence, all the way to work. When John arrived he parked his car and got out, shutting the door behind him. He made his way up the old concrete steps and to the double glass doors. He entered and looked at everyone.

Getting all settled in Magic took a few minutes to call her family and tell them the good news. She also had a raise, which was great. She was the boss now, essentially. She had to go to a crime scene and scribble notes, then go back to the office and write, she spent the rest of her work time reading the other people's articles, either giving the okay or suggestions, in the end, she formatted the magazine for the day and they started printing. She got in the car feeling very good about her new position and drove home to Belle.

He filed some paper work and scanned some things. He had to attend the owner's training class, even though he didn't have a dog. They assigned him a german shepherd named Buck and told John that he(Buck) was his(John) partner. John attended the class and did as the insructer told. John didn't warm up to Buck right away. Baby steps. Baby steps. He thought of Boss that whole time.
