Actually, it took a half hour for most of the puppy ones. The other ones took longer . . . . a couple of days actually.
It does take patience and all, but if you do it right, it looks awesome.

Gee, thanks! I'm still getting used to GIMP, (and layers too) and the Kodi/Dusty pic was done without layers (that's why it's not as good as it could be.
Now, I have improved in only a day's time! Look and see!
Yet another scan, colored in GIMP. 5 layers altogether!

Yeah, GIMP is confusing, but it takes practice to get used to it!
Anywho, I've been scanning some new fanarts to color on GIMP. I did make a MSPaint picture for the cover of my "book" version of my fanfic series "The Confession Saga" (yes, I put it in a binder and made a couple of covers for it).
It's a prettyful Dingo x Saba piccy!
And recently, I've been getting into the anime Wolf's Rain, so I've been inspired. I drew a picture of a certain part-wolf that can also be in human form. I inverted the colors for one version, and it looks rather cool, right?

(Yes, it's supposed to be Aleu's shadow there . . .)

The Dingo/Saba pic was a quickie (between 30 - 45 mins), and I didn't get to shade them . . . wah. But I think it still looks good.
I think you'll like Wolf's Rain. It's a good anime/manga, and I liked the concept so the picture just came to me.
Oh, I will keep on writing! And don't be sad that you can't draw: you're a good writer, so you draw with your words! ^___^

A scanned head-shot of Balto, digitally colored in GIMP, surrounded by a galaxy of stars . . . . probably one of my most difficult pieces yet.

I just got bored, so I colored it in. It took about an hour to do, but I think it looks good!
