Addanc knew that the princess wouldn't set a fire. She wasn't stupid. So she stopped in her tracks. "Why did you stop?" Hobbes asked from behind her. "We are getting out of the woods." She said and turned around her horse and galloped the direction that led from the woods.

Hobbes followed Addanc, but he was really confused. They were supposed to find the princess right? Then why were they running away? But he didn't dare question her.

Balan slowed his horse to a trot when he heard hooves thundering toward him. Suddenly Addanc and the boy appeared. "Why, what were the chances of meeting here?" He asked.

Krystalia and Sugarfoot were approached by a pack of wolves who welcomed her into their cave. After convincing them not to eat Sugarfoot, he followed her in. Krystalia decided to stay with the wolves at least until the stench of smoke died out. The cave will protect us from the fire, and no passerby or patrol would dare enter a wolf pack's den. She thought to herself.

Addanc glared daggers at Balan. "What do you want?" she growled.

Balan shrugged. "I was in the pud, saw you leave, and followed you. Thought we could catch up." he said smiling.

Hobbes looked back and forth between Balan and Addanc. "Do you to know each other from somewhere..?" Hobbes asked.

Addanc didn't answer. "Just leave. I have to find someone fore the King." Addanc said.

bic:// Krystalia studied the wolves' method of communication, and could soon talk with them a little. She would never be able to say everything without a tail, but she wanted to learn what she could while she and Sugarfoot were staying in the wolves' den.

Addanc was about to say something when someone shouted. "Fire! Fire! Help! Forest fire!" she shot a look at Balan that said. Get out, unless you want to be turned to charcoal. Then urged her horse oneward toward the voice.

Hobbes followed without hesitation. "Why are we going towards the voice? Not away from it?" he asked.

Balan scowled after them. "Just a few more minuets and I could've killed the boy." he muttered. Then turned his horse around, and golloped toward town.

All of a sudden the wolves ears flattened. They whined and grouped at the back of the cave. That indicates a danger they can't face... The fire must've spread... "Come on Sugarfoot. I know you don't like the wolves, but we have to stay back there with them to be safe from the forest fire." She gently led him to the back of the cave where they stayed, helpless to do anything to aid those out in the forest.

Addanc ignored Hobbes as she rode. In no time she spotted the cslamp. It wasn't an all out forest fire, but most of the trees surrounding the area were on fire. "Is there a stream near here?" She shouted to one of the men. He nodded and pointed to a steady flowing stream were men were filling wooden buckets and flinging the water at the trees. Addanc dismounted her horse and grabbed a mans bucket. "Go get help from the villagers." She growled to him as she passed.

Hobbes followeed her example and filled his bucket to the very top, so some of the water slosheed out of the bucket when he ran to a nearby tree and threw water at it.

They stayed in the back of the cave with the wolves, who soon began to cuddle up with Krystalia for protection. Sugarfoot stayed out of the love fest because he didn't want his face eaten off, but Krystalia was comfortable and amazed at how many similarities wolves and dogs shared.

Addanc kept flinging waer at the trees until help came. Kain came and looked at the bucket. "Could you give me the bucket Addanc? You just go to the Inn and stay the night." He said and waited for Addanc to give him the bucket. Addanc glared at Kaine. "I don't want to waste money." She grumbled."Don't be silly. It's on the house." Addanc gave him the bucket.

Hobbes squeaked in surprise as Addanc yanked him away from the scene, and made him give the bucket to someone else. "W-why-" Hobbes asked.

BIC: That's alright.

Krystalia soon fell asleep cuddled up with the wolf pack in the safety of the cave. One wolf was on watch at all times, and Sugarfoot stayed awake to watch over her.

Addanc looked at Hobbes. "We need rest." She stated quietly.

Hobbes didn't respond. He did not get her at all.

BIC: sorry that these aare really short...

bic:// Krystalia awoke as the first rays of sunlight began to enter the cave. She could no longer smell the smoke from the fire. The patrol must have put it out last night.

Addanc awoke bright and early, as always. She made sure she had all her weapons, and woke up Hobbes. "Hobbes, wake up. We have to find the princess, or did all that smoke fog up your meomory?" Sshe asked, and pokeed his messy, shoulder length brown hair.

Hobbes grumbled something, and sat up. Where was he again? Oh yeah, he was in an old inn in a old village trying to find the princess. Hobbes swatted Addanc's hand away. "I'm up." He grumbled. He got up from the straw stuffed bed, and followed Addanc out of the inn. One man scrambled after them saying, "Wait! You have to pay!" Addanc just made a geusture with her hand. "It was free." She responded. Without another word they were on their horses again and galloping into the forest.

Balan drained his fourth beer. He was soclose. He could've killed the boy and been on his merry way. But there was still Addanc, she would have found the princess without the boy. The King's Advisor didn't tell him she would be attending! He couldn't bring himself to kill her, he...liked her. You can't do that to someone you liked...right?

The wolves returned with the left overs of their hunt shortly after Krystalia awoke. They offered some to her, which she cooked and then shared with them. Krystalia gave Sugarfoot some of the food from their supply, which he gobbled up quicker than she expected him to. Maybe we should stay here with the wolves for a little while... We'd be safe, and no one would expect a Princess and her steed to be living with a wolf pack....

Addanc looked for tracks of Sugarfoot, she knew his specific track and identify it from any other horse's. But so far, nothing. "See any tracks Hobbes?" She cslled to him over her shoulder.

"N-wait! Here are some!" Hobbes called, pointing at some horse tracks. Addanc galloped over and studied them for a moment. Then nodded, "These are Sugarfoot's tracks, they lead deeper into the woods. Lets go." She said. She steered her horse in the direction the tracks were headed. Hobbes quickly galloped after her.

Balan pulled out some gold peices of gold from his pouch, and left them on the table.
