Firestorm nodded as Emberpatch ran off. She felt afraid for her former mentor, what had happened to her? She turned to Eaglefur, giving him a look from her green eyes. She didn't trust him, but she knew that he had feelings for Cloudfur. "Now, its time to talk." she told him. "You will tell me everything there is to know about you and Cloudfur. I'm trying to help you, for StarClan's sake, don't ruin it. I'm trusting you." She looked at him and saw love in his eyes. "Begin." she told him.

Cloudfur turned when she heard Emberpatch. She had gotten her breath back enough to answer. "I'm just mad, nothing's wrong." She got up and started pacing, her tail lashing back and forth. "I am just so sick of Eaglefur. He won't leave me alone, and he scared off my prey! How mouse-brained can he get?" Cloudfur stopped pacing and looked at Emberpatch. "What are you doing out here anyway? I thought you were in camp with Talonclaw."

"Go back to camp, but don't attempt to follow Cloudfur." Firestorm told him. After he disappeared into the warrior's den, she got up and followed Emberpatch and Cloudfur. She saw them both talking and walked up to them. "Anything I can do to help?" she asked them both, making them jump with her sudden appearance.

"Of course I want you here Emberpatch, you're my best friend. I'm just angry. And how can Eaglefur like me?" Cloudfur exclaimed with a look of disgust on her face. "I don't think I could ever like someone as arrogant and obnoxious as him." She jumped as Firestorm suddenly appeared at her side. "Great Starclan Firestorm! Are you trying to scare my pelt off?" Cloudfur said, giving the young she-cat an affectionate flick over the ears with her tail. "You didn't bring Eaglefur with you, did you?" Cloudfur asked, annoyance sparking through her ice blue eyes.

Firestorm shook her head after chuckling at the joke Cloudfur made. "I sent him to the warriors den and then came after you." she told them both. "And what Emberpatch says is right. Eaglefur does like you. But, he just can't tell you." she turned to Cloudfur.

Cloudufr let out a sigh of exasperation. "But I don't like Eaglefur! I don't think I ever will!" She jumped up onto the fallen log and sat down. "Even he stops being arrogant and obnoxious, which I highly doubt is possible, I still wouldn't like him." She said as her tail lashed back and forth, stirring up the leaves on top of the log.

Firestorm flicked her tail in agreement. Then, loneliness filled her heart as she longed to talk to her brother. She quietly slipped away and walked to the RiverClan border. She searched the trees, hoping to see a sign of her brother. Disappointed, she turned her back and was about to get back, when a cat attacked her. She fought him with all her might. Suddenly, he heard him say, "Firepaw?" She knew that voice. "Lynxpaw?" she asked, looking up as her brother got off her. She pressed her muzzle against his. "I missed you so much." she said. "And I'm a warrior now. My name's Firestorm." "You too?" he asked. "I got my name too: Lynxheart."

Cloudfur glared at Emberpatch. "How many times do I have to tell you?! I don't like Eaglefur and I never will! Just drop it okay?" She said her eyes glittering with annoyance and her tail lashing. Suddenly she stopped being mad. "I understand that you are trying to help Emberpatch and I appreciate that, but I just don't like him." She pressed her muzzle to Emberpatch's ear. "Hey, where'd Firestorm go?" She asked, gazing around the clearing.

Firestorm's happiness was fueled by her anger at him leaving her. "Why did you leave me?" she asked him. "I had to." Lynxheart put his head down, unable to look at his sister in the eye. "Duststripe taught me everything. Even though I wasn't a RiverClan apprentice, he trained me and was my best friend. His kits couldn't live without him. How was I going to let them go? They are the last connection I have to him."

"Firestorm!" Cloufur yelled as she hurtled across the clearing towards the sound of the yowl. She burst out of the braken to find Firestorm talking to Lynxheart. "Firestorm, you nearly gave me a heart attack. What were you doing yowling like that?" She turned and looked at the tom standing next to her. "Hello Lynxpaw." She said with a smile. She knew that he shouldn't be on her territory, but she would accept it because he was Firestorm's brother.
