Yes Aleucrazy is right ! there are lots of bad people in the internet and they can trick you and get important imformation that might affect you! and yes I watch the news. And besides I think a Balto website should be a safe place to be.

I agree with you. It would be cool to display gender and age, also the location (but only the country and the city, not the address), but I think that to display our real names would be useless...not much for security, but I wouldn't see the meaning...it's more funny to have nicknames...
I think that displaying gender, location (but NOT address) and age there wouldn't be risk...and I think that to display the name wouldn't be dangerous...in other words:
-Gender: Yes
-Age: Yes
-Location (State, city): Yes
-Address: NO
-Name: Useless
-Surname: NO
-Other personal informations: NO

People, you are accepting the fact that EVERYONE would be obligated to reveal your gender, an that is not the objective of this...

That is a free option, you will have to choose if will or not show your genders, and more, if you want you reveal more detals of you JUSTIF YOU WANT TO DO IT.

I for example, in other forum i use my own adreess in location and util now i just get 5 or 6 friendships more (people that came here visit me)]

Ok, I see your point Thiago. Sorry, I don't know why I've been so much against that. It's just the fact that I didn't want to install mods on the forums, because of the updating problems and the fact I've been too tired these days to do so.
But I'll try to find a good mod that fit that...I think the best would be to have a mod permiting to add several fields on your profile, and displaying them under the avatars. Do you have one in mind?

I'm working on the mod since...a few hours now, I didn't expect it would be so difficult to install a mod...And so long. (especially when you're doing 10 things at the same time...) I've just realized that there are programs to do the changes automatically, but too late, but I would have wanted to make the changes manually nevertheless. Because at least, it permits me to see how the forums work, which I never did before.
The problem is that I want this mod to work perfectly before putting it...

Steet, if this is your frist mod installing I sugest you to frist test it in another "copy" of this forum, just for you have the sure that the mod is compatible with this template.

Sorry people, but in fact I don't think I will install it.
The reason is that there are regular updates of the version of the forums, and with every update I would have to reinstall the mods, which takes too much time to me. The mod I already installed (URL rewriting, to make the forums "spideable" to search engines) is already long to install, I don't want to add another...
