Sauda got up and looked at him in the eye. Then, surprisingly, she leaped on him flipped him over so he landed on his back. "Ha ha." she laughed. "Didn't see that one coming, did ya?"

Sauda laughed. "Don't think of playing for wimps any more, do you?" she asked. Before he could answer, she felt a dark shadow cover her. She looked up, and saw her father, growling at Alonzo. "Get Away From My Daughter!!!" he roared. "Go back where you came from!"

"DAD! You're embarrassing me in front of my new friend." Sauda yelled at her dad. "Friend?" Kovu asked. "He cannot. He is Jeraha's son. Jeraha is a murderer. His family cannot be trusted." "But, that's the story of you and Mom." Sauda told her father. "You were thought to be dangerous as your mother was thought to be Zira."

Kovu scrunched up his eyebrows and looked at Abasi. "It's you who should be taking your cub and going away." he growled. "But, Dad..." Sauda tried to talk to her father, but he silenced her with a sharp roar. "Let's go, Sauda." He bent down and picked up his daughter by the scruff of her neck. "This isn't over." he snarled through clenched teeth at Abasi. "Bye." Sauda whispered to Alonzo, hoping he had heard her. Kovu turned back and began walking towards Pride Rock."

On the way back, they bumped into Kiara. Kovu told her that they would catch up with her later. He put Sauda down and looked angrily at her. "Sauda, what did you think you were doing?" he asked. "You should have never made friends with him." "But, he seemed like a good friend." she argued. "He's the son of Jeraha. Jeraha is a huge supporter of Scar and Zira. He could be feeding the cub all wrong information about us." Kovu said.

Kovu sighed. "Sauda, one day, I will step down and I need you to continue in my place." he tried to explain to his daughter. "To do that, you must be careful, as future queen...." "What if I don't want to be queen." she snapped, wriggling out of her father's grasp. "It's only tearing me, Chaka and Shani apart." Kovu was stunned. Then he sighed. "They'll understand someday, and so will you." he said. "But, that cub can never be your friend."

Sauda watched as her father took her to Pride Rock and went inside. She sighed and sat on a rock outside, watching the sun set over the grassy plains.

Jeraha came out, angrier than ever. Abast moved away and Jeraha stared down at Alonzo. "How could you go to the border and talk to a PRIDELANDER!" His roar shook the cave.
