Okay, I gotta make this quick. Bad internet at this motel, secondly, my laptop has 30 (Okay, let it charge, and took a nap. lol) minutes of battery life left. This motel fails, there is no place to plug anything in, unless I wanna sit on the toilet...And no, I didn't do that.

I am here.

Some more contributions. lol And I should like to share this (http://www.animationsource.org/board/balto-s-boat-could-it-be-real-t33306.html), which will be an overture to my posting a whole topic of my photos from my 2008 trip to Alaska.

Let me split these up into a few subcategories...(and I would like to state now, for the record, that no one may use these photos without my permission. Neither those here, those posted earlier, or any yet to be posted. Savvy? Good.)...

My continuing adventures with fungus
Yeah, I know. It's not exactly grammatically-correct, but it somehow sounds funnier to me this way. lol Be that as it may...

...these are some more recent shots of various mushrooms I've seen around my area. Various types, various colors. No caterpillars smoking hookahs, and I didn't sample. Heh...

Other stuff
A bit more random...

1. An historic grist mill in my original home town in New Jersey, dating to the early 1800s.

Image

2. From back in the spring, some flowers from a flowering tree in my neighborhood...

Image

3. Two such trees (one of which those flowers were photographed from)...

Image

My Australian Shepherd dogs
Selected pictures of my two Australian Shepherd dogs, Milo and Izzi. Milo is a blue merle male from a show line (from one of the top-ranked breeders on the east coast of the U.S.), whom I purchased as a puppy. Izzi is a blue bi-color working-line female (born on a midwestern farm), whom I adopted from someone when she was a few months short of a year old. They're both great dogs...very intelligent, energetic and fun! Milo is currently five years old, Izzi is two.

1. Milo as a puppy...about ten or eleven weeks of age, playing with his teddy dog. lol

Image

2. Milo about four months of age, freshly-groomed and cute as the dickens!

Image

3. Milo at about three years of age, striking a regal pose on a chair in my parents' home

Image

4. Milo..."my ball!"

Image

5. Milo standing at the top of a slide in a small playground area in my neighborhood during a walk one morning recently...just before he decided to slide down! ROFL He enjoyed it immensely, and had been working up to it every time we have walked past this playground for the past couple of years. He finally took the plunge. lol

Image

6. And the slide he went down...

Image

7. Izzi, awaiting the throw of a frisbee (fly disk)...one of our regular games when we're at the dog park

Image

8. Izzi, during the same frisbee game

Image

9. Izzi engaging in a little tug-of-war with me while Milo looks on and considers when he will dive in.

Image

10. Last winter, Izzi plows through a deep snow drift, utterly overjoyed.

That 2nd mushroom to the left kinda looks like a nose.

Too bad you didn't get a picture of Milo going down the slide! LOL

As to the first, which particular picture? There is more than one photo of mushrooms with more than one mushroom in them. lol

As to the second, well, perhaps on another walk. It's a question of letting go of his leash in an area where there is a curving road, with two blind turns. Not optimal.

Wow, those flowers are absolutely beautiful; especially how they make up the trees! <3 Love your dogs, too. How adorable that Milo actually worked up to get down that slide. xD

I'm lucky. I live in a neighborhood with some generally very nice landscaping. lol

Yeah, Milo's a fun dog. Well, so is Izzi. But Milo was my first one. And we're buds, he and I. And I've watched him grow from a little puppy, and all the craziness and goofiness which goes with it. And that whole slide thing was totally unexpected, as he is not usually one to go off and do something like that. Of course, I have learned long since not to underestimate or second-guess either of my Australian Shepherds. Heh.

But he loves to climb up the stairs of that piece of playground equipment and then look down on the rest of the immediate area as if he's king of the hill or something. lol It's pretty hilarious. And he insists on doing this every single time we take that particular walk.
