Jinks didn’t volunteer, ever. Volunteering brought attention to her and that was something that needed to be avoided. Jinks kept her glare the whole time Mishka gloated and bragged. In the back of her mind she hoped the malamute would snap her neck when she landed, but of course she didn’t. Jinks looked down at her petite frame, her stomach was hard and sloped in and you could see her rips through her thick fur. Jinks had never thought of herself as pretty but she apparently was, at least that’s what the few males she had actually trusted in her life had told her. She remembered a certain male, who she never bothered to remember the name of, go on and on about the way her eyes seemed to change color in the sun and how her neck elegantly arched in a way that drove him crazy. Jinks brought her lips back at the thought, the memory, and the time she told him to buzz off and regretted speaking to him. For once he heard her actual voice he pretty much lost it. Jinks snorted, flushing away the memory. She hated being her size, dogs always judged her as weak and helpless. How she envied Mishka for her pure size, no one in their right minds would consider Mishka weak. Jinks glowered and looked over to Maxwell who was patiently waiting by the door.

Scarlett just laid back and allowed every dog try to take boss. Them she looked over at Jinks and kinda wanted to know what she was thinking. Each time she glared at Mishka. She slowly walked over to Jinks. "You must really hate her." She said sitting down next to Jinks and whispering in her ear. "Because you are making it very clear that you are." She said to her.

A dog that went by the name of Scarlett cautiously approached Jinks, as expected. Jinks listened to what she had to say and moved her gaze to the wall across from her, refusing to make eye contact with Scarlett. Jinks really didn’t want to engage in conversation at the moment, but found Scarlett’s observation interesting. Jinks kept her eyes glued to the wall imagining little deigns that weren’t there, a stupid habit of hers. The frigid temperature made Jinks’ coat bristle and she finally met Scarlett’s gaze. Thinking of anything to say, or of any action that’d show her feelings clearly seemed impossible. The question was unavoidable, so Jinks took a deep breath drawing in the razor sharp air and clearing her head “I’m,” Jinks looked for the right word, something that would leave the subject to stop “indifferent to whatever Mishka has to say or do” Jinks practically spit Mishka’s name, but her voice still like soft velvet, almost a whisper. She then heaved her light weight body to her feet and gracefully totted to the top of her crate.

Ember's ears quickly flatten to her head in disgust after watching Mishka break the window. So much for not getting glass in yours paws or fur... She blinked in surprised as Color and Steven quickly offered to help her and felt embarrassed. She was the youngest out of all of them and already she was bringing attention to herself. Straightening her ears, she began to wag her tail in a carefree manner. She then nodded in approval to Steven and Color.
"I'd be grateful if you two join me," she replied. Turning her gaze to the broken window, her voice dropped to a mutter. "I'm not sure if I could stand that dog by myself anyway..."
Walking a little back, she raced towards the window and made her way through in a single bound. She landed gracefully on her paws on the other side. Ember looked around for Mishka but guessed she was already making her way to the door. She then looked over her shoulder back at the window. "Come on! It's safe out here and hardly any glass."

Color backed up and lunged for the window. The cold air against his body was like a cruel slap to the face, but it felt nice, and especially nicer when he fell into the snow, not as gracefully as Ember did. Oh how he missed the snow! His husky wanted to take over - he wanted to run and run far in this weather, but he came to his senses, and stayed put. He stood up, shaking the snow off of him, his tail wagging faster than it had done in a while. "That was fun!" he announced before gathering to his paws and trotting over to the front where he saw Mishka sitting in the snow with an irritated look on her face. Color did not say a word to her and instead sat opposite of her, waiting for everyone else to join them.

Ember padded up toward the door and studied it for a bit. If they were locked in from the inside, then the door must be locked from the outside. The snow hadn't piled up too badly against so that couldn't stop them too much. Perhaps if they cleared that out the way then they could get somewhere...Aha! So there was a lock to the door. She began to wag her tail in triumphant only for a small voice to creep into her head. What on Earth lead the humans into doing this to dogs? She shook her head to clear her thoughts. She'd pay more attention to that later. "See that lock up there?" she said, pointing with her tail. "If we could bust it, I bet everyone could escape. If not, there's always the window...." Ember didn't want to go to that last result. Some of the dogs were a lot older than her and would possibly have a problem climbing through it. She hoped this idea would work....

OOC:// Psh, dead muse >.> ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"We could gnaw on it-" Mishka began suggesting before Color cut her off.
"No that'll ruin our teeth."
"Are you done?" she growled.
Color laid his ears back. "It's just common sense," he whispered to himself. Ignoring Mishka glaring at him, he looked at the lock. "But what can we use to bust it? We don't have human hands and biting it would probably break our teeth. I don't think we can use anything to break it... I don't know. Maybe using the window is our best shot," he said looking at Steven and Ember.
Mishka yawned with boredom. "Well then WHAT do you suggest we do smarty?"
Color shrugged. "I don't know. We're not humans, so how can we really break a lock made by them?"

Scarlett over heard what Color said and thought about the window. 'We have to get out of here.' She thought to herself. Then she approached the window. There was already a broken part in it and she just shoved herself into it getting it to brake some more. "There we go." She said.

Ember couldn't resist rolling her eyes in annoyance at Mishka. Was she really that dumb thinking that they could all bite through the lock? The crunching of snow caught her attention and she swirved towards the sound. She blinked in confusion seeing Scarlett outside with them, until she could only guess that she had overheard them. Okay, so maybe the window was there best bet. She just hated if it caused some dog to get hurt in the process. She bounded back over towards the window, standing on her hind paws to peer over the age.
"Do you think you all can make it?"

((Oh mai gawsh! Sorry guys! I was at camp for a week and there weren't any computers!! I'm so sorry this is late ): ))
Jinks kept her snout buried in her paws as she listened to each individual voice. Each of the dogs had an opinion, each wanted to be a leader. But in reality none were the leader. In fact, the Alpha here was most likely to be Maxwell. Jinks flickered her glance over to Maxwell, her snout still buried deep in her cat-like paws. She looked back at the cold floor in front of her, images of a lethal pack echoed in her thoughts. At the front of the pack an old Samoyed Maxwell, on his flank was Steven as Beta, he seemed to fit the personality type. Then Amber, Mishka, and Scarlett as Biders, mostly because Jinks new Mishka would never make it to Beta; as ambitious and she was. Then at the bottom was Color, timid Color. The type of dog that’d roll over on his stomach and tuck his tail first chance he got. But then where did Jinks fit? No where really, she didn’t plan on staying with this group of dogs. She planned on leaving as soon and Maxwell was out. She owed him that much.

OOC:// It's okay xD ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Seeing Scarlett jump out the window and hearing Ember's voice addressing them, Maxwell slowly rose to his feet and limped over to the window. He wasn't very caring for the thought of getting out the window, especially not in his condition where the task might prove to be difficult. He studied the window, and seeing how it was only really him and Jinks left in the room, it occurred to Maxwell that this was the only way. "Yes I think we can get out the window!" he barked. Turning his head to Jinks, he said to her, "The window is our only chance. Come on, let's get out of here." Maxwell went first, struggling to get his three good legs up onto the crate. He slipped off of it the first time, but a dramatic leap helped him to push himself up onto the crate.
Now was the tough part. Not so much of a runner anymore because of his leg, Maxwell wouldn't be able to run out the window as far as the others had done. Though older than the older dogs here, he was still going to try. He rushed for that window, leaped out of it, and landed hard in the snow, practically disappearing into it. He landed with an 'oof'.
Color whined, seeing Maxwell land as he did, and went over to him to see if he was alright. Relying more on his nose than his eyesight, Color found him out without trouble. He watched as the Samoyed coughed and hacked as he slowly rose to his paws. Color laid his ears back a bit."Are you alright Maxwell?" asked Color, not wanting the older dog to get anymore injured.
Maxwell nodded. "Yes yes I'm fine. Don't worry about me." Facing the window, he called out to Jinks, "The fall's as soft as a baby." He laughed a bit, knowing fully that she was a smart dog and would already know about the soft landing, but wanting to reassure. It's about as much as we can ask for nowadays, he thought to himself.
