Koda's expression became suddenly very troubled. Not many female wolves were of pure white in color. And if Koda thought about it very hard, he did in face see something kind of like Lesher before. He was sad to confirm his terrible belief and the awful truth. He wasn't even sure he should tell the expecting wolf what he knew. It would only crush him further.

Koda knew that well. It's always better to believe there's something still worth looking for, then to know it's gone forever and weep to the ground. His mind raced and wrapped around the thoughts, trying to contain them. I shouldn't tell him unless he asks... Koda thought. He won't ask that sort of thing, another voice in his mind played out. While he may not, that's the only way I'd ever tell him, Koda decided. If he doesn't ask, he'll keep searching and not find what he was looking for... but he'd still most likely have hope. Hope was better than knowing the truth. It was always better than knowing the truth...

If the question came up, Koda knew he wasn't the type of canine to lie through his jaws. He'd have to come out with it. How could you lie to someone and tell them their mate was still alive or lost when you knew in your heart they were gone? How could you look at that other's eyes and say something like that just to keep them from feeling lost themselves?

After a while, though, Koda realized he hadn't responded. All he chose to say back was, "I see," with a gentle nod in Lesher's direction.

Lesher sighed and looked over at Koda. "Do you know what happened to her, or do you know where she is, or even seen her before?" He said worried. He would look if she wasn't know to be alive or dead. He is starting to fell crushed by weight after weight of pressure to find Lania, or if he would even be able to find her. He looked strate into Koda's ees with fear, panic, and most of all sadness.

'What are you thinking Lesher he can't know where Lania is,' he thought 'But what if he does know. All of my problems will be answered with happiness or sorrow.'

Koda was now troubled as ever. "I..." he trailed off. How was he supposed to convey everything he was feeling in one sentence? Or maybe a few, but still... He felt so sorry for Lesher. And he had decided moments ago that he'd force himself to tell the truth if Lesher asked. Now that moment had come. He sighed with a big heave of a breath and looked at Lesher straight in the eyes. "I do know." He paused and looked down, not being able to meet his eyes.

"She... I saw you both when the storm was raging out of control... I remember a white wolf... I saw the life just... disappear..." he turned away, nearly sobbing from the intensity of having to say it. He was the one having to break this to Lesher. He was the one probably breaking someone's world apart. The one to make another tear up and grieve... and to be honest, he didn't like it at all.

Lesher looked at him and he looked away and ran off tears going down his face. He ran to a tree and just stayed in the shadows he looked up "Lania," he said. and plopped his head onto the ground. more tears going down. He put his paw on his face and sobbed even more. He didn't want to belive the fact that someone he has loved... since she asked the question 2 years ago is now dead.

'You should of NEVER asked the question and just found her body.' He thought and Found her body just kept going through her head. He got up and ran off going to find if he can find her body and see if it really was her that Koda said.
