What was so bad about it that this werewolf wouldn't want any of it? Perhaps he had a different territory? Maybe he was a wanderer, like Miranda herself? "But still, imagine meeting another black werewolf out here!" Miri hadn't at first realized that she had spoken her thoughts aloud. When she did, however, she felt shocked. Crap! Now someone knew! But, she supposed, surely that couldn't be too bad. It's not like he'd ever see her human form, right? And there are several black wolves in the world. If she ever crossed paths with this were again, she figured that he would be unable to recognize her. Yes, that would be fine. So in that case, a little conversation wouldn't hurt anyone...right? Miri cleared her throat. "Erm. Yeah. Another...werewolf. Same...fur, er, color. Rare." Social skills: need work, she thought.

I thought I was the only wolf in these woods. Even if it's not a were I will still be glad to find it. So, he ran toward the closest howl that he heard which was Theresa. He picked up the scent which distinctly smelt like female. He had a wicked smile on his muzzle and thought Maybe I could play around with her for a while too. When he got nearer to the scent, he heard distinct sounds that sounded like something that was walking around. He stopped running immediately and walked towards the sound carefully as not to spoke the thing that was making the sound and giving off that amazing scent. When he seen the wolf, he blushed because he seen how beautiful the she-wolf was. He thought Wow. Look at that. She's beautiful. He approached and said in body language so he wouldn't spoke the female "Hi. How are you?" OOC: He's a white wolf. Couldn't miss him in the night. Terra, who had been occupied trying to fine the other wolf (which could've possibly, possibly been a werewolf...maybe), didn't notice him coming. However, once his question rang though the still air, "Hi, how are you?", she wondered how she couldn't have noticed him. His fur was as white as snow (when it wasn't covered in mud and grass) and stood prominent against the dark colors of the nighttime forest. "Uh, fine?" she replied, saying it as more of a question rather than a statement. Terra's ears pricked in a mixture of curiosity and wariness; who was this wolf?

His eyes widened to compliment his shocked expression. Though, he tried his best not to show it. His voice seemed mysterious and alluring as he chuckled ever so quietly. "Interesting," was all he said for a while. After a few minutes to process everything, he spoke even more mysteriously than before. Though, not entirely on purpose. He just tended to sound like that a lot of the time. "You know of other werewolves?" The question was mildly asked, but inside, Kaden was burning with curiousity. By the female's own words, it had seemed she had met others. Or perhaps maybe she hadn't. Kaden wouldn't really know for certain. He took a look at the full moon, though. Darn... the light would fade soon. They probably had less than half an hour left of the entire full moon's reflection. And while it wouldn't normally be a bad thing for Kaden to turn back, what would happen to this werewolf he discovered? Would they part ways only to meet next month of they were lucky? Or would they continue talking anyhow? He hoped the second one would prevail.

He smiled after a few seconds and started walking away. He motioned with his head for her to come with him like he was a actual non-supernatural wolf. He smiled to himself when his head was out of sight and howled his musical howl loudly. OOC: Sorry. I have writer's block. I hope it stops soon.

"The only others I've met have only stopped to fight me, and even they were rare. Two or three, maybe." She thought a moment, trying to recall all the times. "Five at tops." She paused, not knowing what else to say. She glanced up at the full moon. "I hate being forced to transform every month," she admitted. "I mean, I transform often on my own in order to survive out here, but...I dunno. There's something about being forced to that I just don't like." She sighed. "I like...I liked having the choice, I guess." Which was true, more or less. Miranda relied greatly on her wolf form to find food, but though she made exceptions, she preferred to cook the meat, and that was near impossible with paws. More so, when she had a choice of transformation, it made it easier to change when necessary. For example, when she was hunting as a wolf, but then smelled a human hunter or some upset farmer, she could quickly change into a human and appear to be some messy teenager taking a walk. On the other hand, if she was wandering in human form and met up with some kind of bullies, she could become a wolf, assuming that she could find a temporary hiding place to do so, and scare them off. But on the full moon, it was wolf or death. She had to hide. Luckily, few human leave at night, and even when they did, her dark pelt helped her blend into the forest. But still, she'd rather be ready to change, just in case. Just in case.

The whole time the other werewolf had explained and responded, he had remained quiet to listen. "Just to fight? Seems kind of rude..." he paused, still looking up at the moon. He turned his body to face it, and let out the quietest of howls. In fact, it was so quiet, it probably could have only reached the center of the forest. Never the edges. It was mournful, sorrowing, and unmistakeably alone. Then he turned his body to the side so that one half of him was facing the female. "You're not the only one." He whispered, and then after much thought, decided to reveal, "These are the only nights I ever turn." He arched his head so that the breeze caught in his fur. The wind catching at every hair tip, threatening to shake his whole being, but never able to carry out with that promise. And then he sighed, looking straight at Miri. "If I had the choice, I don't think I'd turn at all."

I kinda of need the choice. Ever since I ran away four years ago, I've pretty much relied on my wolf form, you know, to find food and whatnot, and I could always shift if a hunter came too near. Before that, when I lived with my parents...well, sometimes I wish I'd never been born a...a werewolf." She turned her head away sadly. "My...my dad hates me. Or at least, can't accept me, really. So ever since my mom passed away...well, I had no where else to go." Miri lifted her head to face the full moon shining above. It had moved across the sky over time and she knew that dawn would soon be breaking. Should she continue speaking to this werewolf? What would happen if he saw her human form? Did it even matter? After all, nowhere else to go...

A very long pause ensured. It took a lot of thought for him to say his next words, but after a while of thinking them through, he eventually became pleased with them. "Parents," he began. "can sometimes only be considered as figures." His whole body and posture was full of the look of knowing, even if he wasn't all that knowledgeable. He tended to go by what he knew, and because of that, he tended to go out on a limb, a lot of the time. Other instances, he'd just get lucky. And still others, well, maybe once in a while, listening and watching from the shadows paid off. "To be honest, I have no idea where mine are. I couldn't care less. I originally left them so they would be safe. Then I learned they were planning on sending me away anyways." He stopped himself as the memories came flooding back. He slowly came back and continued, "My own parents didn't even care. They just figured out I was another species and decided to skip out on me. So now? I'm not even sure it matters much anymore. The whole world views us differently. The only ones we can trust are ourselves. I think..." He finished off, not even sure why he was rambling so much. He took one last glimpse at the moon and then turned back to Miri. "At least we know we can trust each other, I guess. The moon is going to be gone soon. I guess... well..." he took on a suddenly embarrassed look. "Well, to be honest, I don't really want to part ways. You're the first of my kind I've ever met. Lucky, too, that it wasn't a vicious encounter like the ones you've said you'd had. Would you maybe..." he trailed off and then eventually said, "care to talk later, too?" And finally, he said, "I don't have much to go to, either. But I do know somewhere." He gave a faint smile.

He was smiling, but the grin was faint, almost awkward, as though he was nervous to speak. And she couldn't meet up again! It's better to be alone...it's better to be alone... But he seemed so nice. He seemed to have similar as she did...so he understood. Did all werewolves, she wondered, have such difficulties? The werewolf's words rang through her mind. The whole world views us differently. That was probably true. Except for maybe her mom. Her mother was special... But her dad? No, he couldn't stand her. He abandoned her! But I do know somewhere. Where could that be, Miranda wondered. This werewolf at least knows of somewhere. Was he trying to go there? She made up her mind. "Er...yeah. Do you think I could...well...stay with you? For just a while? I mean, I don't have anywhere else to go, and it's been so long since I've stayed with someone else..." Yeah, four years, she added inside her head.

"If you want, I could take you there now so you'll know where it is..." he trailed off, finding that sentence most likely awkward sounding. He would have blushed had he been human. "Er... I mean, unless you just want to know the location? Or perhaps something else?" He decided to just change the subject ever so gently. "You're welcome any time." He said, meaning that she was allowed happily into the small little home he had recently taken up residence in. It was a bit shabby considering no one had lived in it for a while, but he was working on fixing it up little by little.

"I mean, I've been on my own for so long, and being part wolf and all, there's that, you know, yearning for a pack, and..." She trailed off awkwardly. "Well, yeah. I guess I'm just...lonely, and if you have some place to go, that'd be great, but if you don't, I understand." Miri groaned inwardly. That was smooth! What was she even saying? It was better to be alone, after all. Alone did not mean packs! So why did she feel the desire? Miranda cursed her social, wolflike instincts. It was usually easy, but meeting up with another were like this, and the howls she'd responded to earlier...Stupid! But now, she was stuck. The statement was out, and it was the other werewolf's decision now. Could it really be so bad if he agreed? Only one way to figure that out. And thinking of the other werewolf... "Oh, your name! I never asked your name. Wh...what is it?"

He could now tell the other werewolf probably felt as strange about this as he did. He turned to look at the moon. It was disappearing out of the sky, and they were losing time. He turned his head to look her at, though his body was turned, stood up, and ready to walk from the scene. "I'd be glad for the company. All wolves need packs." He paused, letting a the smile appear again, and then fade slightly as he said, "And of course you can come. But, it's your choice." When he thought of it later on, he realized his statement reflected on what she had said earlier: "I liked having the choice, I guess." With a flick of his tail, he answered her next question with eyes that were growing happier, and a quiet smile that had come back and refused to fade. "Kaden," he said slowly. "The name's Kaden." Then he ran off, signaling with a bark that if she wanted to come too, she should follow.

She had just met him, and he expected her to follow him to who knows where? As if! Terra purposely walked the other direction, the way that the first howl had come from. "If you want, you can follow me." she said. Terra didn't bother to wait for an answer; he was sure to have heard, and he could follow if he chose. She knew she could defen herself if the need arised. But for now, she wanted to find the wolf that had howled back. The werewolf glanced at the sky after a minute or two had passed; dawn was fast approaching. But...she could skip school for a day, couldn't she? Or at least check in late. It would only be her second or third time; detention was preferable to this burning curiosity. Terra soon found the scent; two wolves, apparently. Not just one. Her eyes brightened at the thought that she would finally know who it was, and despite how unlikely it was, she clung to the hope it was another werewolf. She burst out of the bushes, paws tingling in excitement, only to skid to a halt in confusion. Was that...Kaden?! Ooc:// Terra would already know Kaden, from school and whatnot.

XD Kaden stopped running immediately almost as soon as he had started when he was met with someone who's features seemed familiar. It was yet another wolf, too! Was this the first howler? He continued to study her face and eyes until he finally realized who this could be. There weren't too many people in school who had eyes that tint of color, either, so being able to pick her out wasn't too difficult. "T-terra?" He was in shock again. "You-you're..." A werewolf. He had to mentally finish the question, because obviously words weren't working right now. He tried to regain his composure, but couldn't figure out what to do. If they didn't hurry, they'd all turn back to their human forms soon. And they wouldn't have any cover. He shouldn't have cared, but the thing was, Kaden hated being in this form. He didn't want to have to stay in it any more than he had to. Unless he needed to. His eyes wandered to the moon which was barely even in sight anymore. It was getting further away. "Time is short. Hurry." He had finally gained most of his calm back, and while still in shock, found his feet to run. And so he did. "We'll explain later. C'mon!"
