The next day....

Kapik woke suddenly, jumping up at the sight of an unfamiliar cave. He looked down to see Lakota sleeping beside him, and he thought. I didnt... did I.....? NO, no nope... He muttered a curse, and walked to the edge of the cave.

Lakota slowly woke from her dreams. Her eyes where still closed while she felt a small breze drift into the cave. She remebered going to sleep beside Kapik, with his warm fur touching her's and she somehow felt very safe with him beside her. But now she couldn't feel his warm fur beside her. Lakota's eyes opened and looked up to find Kapik in the corner of the cave looking kind of scared.
"Hey Kapik, what's wrong," she said watching him.

He jumped at the sound of her voice, and smiled, though he still looked shaken.
"Oh, nothing.... Just felt odd waking up to a diferent cave." He made up the excuse, for being totally jittery about having a huge crush on Lakota. "AND a tree just fell..." He said, nodding in the direction of flying away birds.

Lakotalooked in the derection of the birds and she looked back with her eye brow raised.
"Okay... well I better go get some food. You can stay here or come with me if you want."

Kapik yawned, and stretched his muscles, befor shaking out his fur.
"I'll come," He said, walking up to her.

Lakot walked out into the light of the forest outside of the cave. It was damp and still wet out from the rain but it made the forest sparkle. A soft wind blew through her fur which brang the scent of food. She scenced Kapik coming up besdie her.
"Let's go this way," Lakota said pointing her nose to the west, "there's alot of scents coming from that direction,"

Kapik sniffed the air, but caught nothing.
"sure, sure..." He grumbled, remembering his scences were less than good.

Lakota lead Kapik through the woods, trying to find a scent. They headed down hill through some bushes and ended up at a small river. The water was sparkling and clear. There where some large rocks in the river to get across. Lakota jumped up on one and crouched down to lick up some cold water.

Kapik followed quietly, stepping firmly on the rocks as they trotted across the river. He knelt down and lapped up some of the tempting water. A large trout swam by, splashing Kapik's face wit hwater. Suprised, he yelped and slid into the water. He jumped out quickly, and began chasing the fish downstream.

Lakota looked up when she heard the splash. She saw kapik climb back out of the water and chase after the fish that just hit him.
"What are you doing?" Lakota said running after him.

"I'm going to catch a fish!!" he shouted, jumping into directly ontop of the fish. He tipped again, and the fish slid out from under him. Kapok growled, and crawled out of the water. " I'm not good at fishing..." he grumbled.

Lakota smiled and rolled her eyes. "the best way to catch a fish is to sit and wait till one comes toward you, and you dont go chasing after it," Lakota said while she jumped out onto one of the rocks in the middle of the stream and crouched down. She scanned the water and saw a fish coming her way. "Watch and learn,"
Lakota flatten herself against the rock and waited for the fish to come closer. After a minute or so the fish was in her reach. Quickly she snatched the fish from the water. She bit the fish and it stopped moving. Suddenly her leg fell out in front of her and she fell into the water with the fish still in her mouth.

Kapik huffed, and then his eues widened in shock as Lakota fell in. "So who's clumsy now?" He teased, wading into the shallows. "You okay?" He asked, trying to mimick was she had done. He suceeded in posture, but when this fish came it bit him back.

Lakota sighed and said, "Let's just pretend that never happened," Lakota jumped out of the water and shook the water off her.

Kapik laughed, and shook out his fur when he stepped out of the water. "Sure sure, you neeever fell in..." He teased, bumping her shoulder.
