"As long as you're sure," Rose murmured, jumping into the conversation. She shot a reproachful look at Dylan. "You could've killed him!" she began, prepared to leap into lecture mode.
Dylan looked stricken. "I didn't mean to," he whispered again.
Lily put a hand on Rose's shoulder. "Let him be," she said, though she scowled his way as well.

"How do you explain Albus almost being killed, then?" Lily challenged.
"It could be like he said; it was an accident." Upon Lily's furious look, Rose continued. "But there was definitely something suspicious about it. I don't think he was being totally sincere when he said he didn't mean to."
