"I honestly think we'd all be miserble," she explained. "But now, everyone is happy, including the birds," she said, watching one the little blue birds Garth kept knocking out fly by. ----------------- Garth nuzzled her. "Now come on, better get some meat before it gets cold," he explained, leading the way. "I know you're hungry." ---------------- Blaze nodded, doing the same with other wolves to pull the prey back towards the pack land. "They're tough, even bears don't tangle with them."

"I love you Kate, I'd be miserable without you." ********* Lilly nodded, bounding up and following Garth closely. "I am." she said, her stomach growling as if on cue. Her ears fell embarrassedly. ******** Yana sighed, shaking her head. "Bears, wolverines..." she said, ears going down . "Goodness, I adore them. Such wonderful creatures." she said sarcastically.

"I love you so much...I'm sorry for worrying you when I got knocked out by those Caribou..." she said, having not done that. "I know it's not my fault...but making you think I died must've hurt a lot...sorry for putting you though that." -------------------- Garth smiled and nuzzled her. "I'm starved to, working out everyday makes you hungry." ------------------- "Yeah, but I still consider Wolverines the worst of the bunch, they're like a bear with a bad temper mixed with a little bit of a skunk," said Blaze.

"It's not like you did it on purpose- did you?" he asked jokingly, giving her a accusing look. "I did what I had to. I'm just glad you're okay... For the most part." he added with a grin, looking hopeful to see if he had made Kate smile or not. ********** Lilly smiled, her tail going a mile a minute. "Then let's go eat." she said, leaning against him happily. ********** Yana nodded, grunting as she pulled at the carrion. "No doubt. But I'd rather not smell one now. I'm much too hungry." she said. She wouldn't eat much, enough to tide her a day or two- she didn't want to marr her perfect form with an unecessary fat...

"You're really good at making people smile, that's your gift," she replied. "Mine, of course is stuff like this," she said, doing a frontflip over a fallen log and laughing. "But yours is being the peacemaker of the pack." ---------------- Garth nodded. "Race you!" he called, running that way. ---------------- Blaze nodded, finally making it to the eating area with his group's kill. "Question, did you notice these Caribou looked spooked?"

"Show-off." he mumbled, sounding bitter on purpose. he grinned. "You're a natural at all this Kate... Why would you ever think you were losing your touch? you're quick and strong and smart." he glanced at her, smiling. "Not to mention beautiful." he said, nuzzling her before trotting off. ******** Lilly laughed softly and nodded, chasing after him. ******** Yana looked at her group's kill as they dragged it into the clearing. "now that you mention it...Yes. They were all running away from something..." she said, looking suspicious.

"Thanks, Humphrey, you're pretty handsome yourself," she said, giving him a nuzzle. "I think I might just still be healing from the stampede, I got bruised up a good bit." --------------- Garth smiled, he might have been an Alpha, but what was the point of having friends if you couldn't play a bit? That and who said he couldn't be an Alpha and play around? He slowed down a bit to let her catch up so he didn't have a head start. ---------------- Blaze shrugged. "Who knows? Probably a bear or something."

"Ah, it's a gift." he said, looking cocky. He laughed. "I had a feeling you may have. No one goes without a dew trophies from a caribou stampede." he said, nuzzling Kate as well. ************* Lilly smiled. Her mate was probably one of the loosest Alphas she had ever heard of. He played with her, raced her constantly. She panted as she caught up with Garth, Giving a light laugh. *********** Yana nodded, giving a shrug. "Probably." she said, fixing herself up again.

"Are you still hurt?" ------------------- Garth smiled, starting the real race now that they were head to head. Having two pairs leading the pack meant one of them got to relax on occasion, which was nice, particularally when one half of each was an Omega, since they weren't really conditioned for the Alpha lifestyle. He didn't hold anything against them, like Kate he'd been given special training for his job, Omegas didn't get the training. Still, they had their own special traits, they were normally the pack's peacekeepers, something he respected. ----------------- Blaze nodded. "Yeah," he said, stretching. "Think this'll impress the Alphas?"

"I was sore for a while, in my back and everything." he said. "Not as bad as you- I mean, did you get kicked in the head?" he asked, cioncerned. *********** Lilly smield as the real race started. In the end she knew Garth would beat her, but it was fun to see ha long she could keep up. She didn't begrudge hm though. He and Kate were both well trained, and were far more disciplined. Lilly didn't care, having fun with Garth. ********* Yana nodded, laughing curtly. "Of course! We brought back two kills! This is more than enough to feed the pack."

"Lucky it didn't crack my skull, must've just grazed me enough to knock me out but not get the full impact," she explained. "We're just both lucky, no doubt," she explained, then saw the feeding area up ahead. "Well there's the feeding area, looks like it was the Betas that brought in the kills," she remarked, then looked a little sad, remembering how bad she'd been at hunting as of late. ----------------- As Lilly expected, Garth won, but not by much. "You're getting a lot better," he said, nuzzling her. "You were fast to start with though," he complimented. He knew Lilly was a shy wolf, that's why he always tried to boost her confidence. ----------------- Blaze nodded. "Here they come, remember, we gotta suck up to those two Omegas, at least while they're with their mates, when they're alone, that's when we can tell them how we really feel," he remarked, he was jealious of Humphrey, he, a Beta, was below an Omega, an OMEGA! The lowest of the low! It wasn't right! He didn't like Lilly much, but Humphrey was the one he dispised, it was a male rivalry thing.

Don't get down: Betas usually do a lot of hunting anyway. They're like, trained to kill." he said in a jokingly dark voice. "They'll be back, to it." ******** Lilly blushed lightly, nuzzling Garth in return. "It's not easy to keep up with you, even when you are hungry." she said with a little laugh. She appreciated Garth's praise, as he was trying to help raise her confidence. ******** Yana glanced at Lilly and Garth. She growled under her breath, staring at Blaze. She didn't care for either of the Omegas. Omegas rose above them, and it madeher usually calm and cocky demeanor melt in a pot of rage and jealously.

"Two Caribou, that's great," she said, checking the kills, they were big bull Caribou, lots of meat. "Good job, everyone," she complimented. "This'll last us a good bit, where did you find the Caribou?" "Not too far, actually," said Blaze, taking pride in remembering specifics. "We managed to bring two down, but there were five, sorry we couldn't catch them all." "Don't worry," said Garth, walking up. "Two is more than enough, you're always hard on yourself Blaze," he stated. He then looked to Lilly. "Thanks, but I've just worked out a lot, you're naturally fast."

Humphrey was equally impressed. "Wow," he looked to his mate. "That'll feed us all for like, what do you think, Kate? Two or three days?" Lilly nodded, eyes wide in delight. "This is really something!" she said, her tail wagging happily. Yana nodded, lowering her head briefly to both the Alphas. "Thank you so much." she said, turning to Blaze. "You always doubt yourself, dear friend. We have done a good thing."

"Let's let the mothers and their pups eat first." Garth nodded. "Yeah, it is impressive," he said. "And yeah, that's a good idea Kate," he said, agreeing with his fellow Alpha. "I'm hungry, but I can wait till after the pups eat, they need it more." Blaze sighed. "I know, but it's just me, that's how I am."
