Hailey clambers over the wall, and hops down,"come,"she urges.
They walk into the dimly lit forest, birds chatter in the underbrush. Hailey shivers a little, as a cool breeze filters through the trees. "have you ever been here before?" she asks, parting the way ahead of them, leaves and branches tickling at their fur.

Zion shook his head as he past some branches. "Not really, i thought of exploring it one day, but when i see it at nighttime out my window it looks alot more spooky.." Zion blinked as he pushed a branch and stopped "But i would still explore it! nothings to spooky for me!" he nodded as his paw slipped and the branch slapped him across the face "Ow!"

Hailey grins, "neither have I! This will be interesting to explore.."
She hears Zion yelp, "are you okay??" she asks worridly and gingerly touches his face, "I think you have a cut, but not a big one...you'll live,"she chuckles, and keeps close to him, "Maybe we can find a good hide out in ths forest! if we don't get lost..." she mutters under her breath.
"oh!" she exclaims! "Look!" she points ahead of them, and whispers "wow...this is beautiful.." a grove of tree circles above them in a dome like shape, a small brook trickles through the ground. "whatcha think?" she grins.

Zion rubbed his eye. only a small bit of red marked his finger but after he retouched there was no more. Hailey was right and he shrugs it off ignoring the pain then notices too the area around them "Hey... this could work!.. can be a awesome hideout for us!" he said wandering ahead alittle "And i dontthink we traveled too far from the field so maybe we can mark it or something so we remember where it is!" he said his voice more high pitched in exictment "A hideout! i always wanted to have one! and we can really use this!"

Hailey glances back at Zionto make sure he is still okay.
"Theres no WAY anyone will ever find us here!" she exclaims grinning widely.
"we should come here everyday if we can!" She thinks for a second, "and how shall we mark it? hmmm.." she tiptoes over to the little stream that runs through the grove, "woah!" she exclaims, "tadpoles!" she leans over to look in, completely mezmerized.

Zion nodded quickly agreeing, just as he had dreamed of in his room, making a hideout. And blinks seeing the stream "Woaah.." he turns to Hailey as she explained what to use to mark, then pointing out the tadpoles "You want to use tadpoles to mark..?"

Hailey laughs, "no, no" she says, "I got distracted. maybe we can use a flag? Or scratch pctures into the tree trunks" she suggests.
"what do you think?" she asks, scooping up a tadpole in her paw and dropping it back in the water.

Zion wanders over and pokes the water with his stick, scaring off all the tadpoles accidentally "Hm.. Scratching the markings is alot better.. we dont want people to see those flags or they might come ruin it!"

"pictures it is then!" Hailey searches around the glen.."I need a sharp rock now.." she bends down into the small creek and retrieves a wet rock with a sharp edge. "I think I'll carve my initials,"she says. "what about you Zion?"

Zion blinked "i thought we were just marking a sign.. Whats initials?" he said staring blankly

Hailey shrugs, "I dunno what to draw, "she explains, "so I'm gonna carve an H into this tree." she rolls the rock in her hand a little and etches it into the tree. She glances back at him, "don't look so blank...."

Zion snaps back into reality rushing over to Hailey "Oooh.. i see!.. okay so il do this then.." he said picking up a rock, carving a awkward looking Z into the Tree near Hailey's H "Okay so now ifwe see this we will know that were near to our hideout!"

"That's right!" Hailey nods and grins at Zion's awkward "Z".
"should we build a fort inside here too?" she questions, "you know, like a tree house or something?"
She pauses as an audible crackling and rustling is heard in the bush.
Hailey freezes and takes hold of Zion's arm, her ears perking.
"D-did you ...h-hear that?..." she whispers...

Zion blinks as Hailey takes his arm, but Another rustle noise ahead alerted him on why Hailey reacted strange, lifting one arm up aiming his stick towards a direction "I think it came from that way.. Shall.. we go see?" he whispered b ack

"o-o-okay.."Hailey stammers, "you go first," she says to Zion, and hides behind him, poking him a little to go forward, when suddenly...


a flash of golden feathers is illuminated by the sun, as something large, furry and brown leaps out of the foliage, straight for the sky.

Hailey jumps back n surprise, her eyes widening, the creature extends his wings to their full extent and a steady beating is heard as it flaps them, and shoots upward for the clouds.

Hailey is agape...

She turns to Zion.
"Oh my GOSH! do you know what that was?!"
She reaches across the ground and picks up one of the fallen golden feathers...

"a gryphon.." she whispers.
