Aniu smiled. "Yes, I'm your grandma," she said, loving pups. "I'm your papa's momma, but I'm a spirit." she explained. "But I'm not like Lenatei, I'm not able to physically touch things all the time."

"Why grandma niu Speart?" asked Kenai, misprouncing it rather badly.

[color=#808080]"Well..." said Aniu, trying to think of how to explain it. "My body couldn't work anymore, so I had to leave it behind..." she said, it wasn't really possible to tell them she'd been killed protecting her son and daughter.[/color

OOC: Puppy talk is so cute!

Tai nodded, giving as sigh as Derbin nodded and just accepted the truth. "Whew." she breathed softly, smiling at Aniu. "You have a way with little ones." she said, wagging her tail. Blaze started playign with Derbin, giggling and yipping.


"I'm supposing this pales in comparison to last year?" asked Goldie, smiling at Cachen.


Blaze stopped playing, lookign at them. "What happen?" Derbin chimed in, echoeing his sister. They sat in front of Goldie and Cachen, lookign up expectantly. "Tell us story, Cachen!" Blaze said with big eyes, fluttering her eyes cutely.


Jenna blinked, givign a chuckle. "Well, there may be a group tantrum." she said, waiting for something to happen. "Should we tell them?' she asked Balto, lookign at ihm for an answer.

"No, they weren't, we had an adventure that Christmas, too." Jenna said softly, sitting by her mate.

Kodi moved the blanket as Katie stood, and helped her lay down afaik. " Maybe you should start it, Dad, it's very unclear to me in the begining." he said, snuggling with his mate.

"Actually, I can shed some light on something that happened that night you never really found out the truth about," said Aniu. "Everything that happened to both you and the pups that night were caused by Pakak, not just the stuff you knew he caused."

Balto looked confused. "What? So that weird night was all because of that spirit?"

Lena cocked her head. "Yeah, really?"

Aniu nodded. "Yep."

OOC: I'll have it start with Pakak's villain song next post.

Katie smiled, looking mystified. "By all means, Aniu, I would really like to know the whole truth."

Everyone nodded, Tai and Kai settled down, Tai with Fanf and Kai laying down amongst the pups. They all wanted to hear what really happened.

"Well you see pups, Pakak is an ancient and powerful Inuit spirit," explained Aniu. "Now you see, Pakak had one weakness, he loved pranks."

"Like big brother Dingo?" asked Denali, Dingo loved pranks.

"Not like Dingo, sweetheart, you see, Pakak didn't know when to stop, he got so carried away at times, the other spirits wanted to lock him away forever," said Aniu. "But Santa saw he wasn't really evil, he just got carried away, so Santa made a deal..."

A totem pole stood on a hill over Nome, depicting a Coyote at its top. "Santa's deal with Pakak was for one day a year, he'd be able to be as naughty and mischievious as he pleased, within reason. The other days of the year, Pakak had to be on his best behavior." said Aniu. The totem pole began to shake and glow. "Now, Pakak didn't want to be imprisoned forever, so he had no choice but to accept. But Santa only has domain over one day of the year, can anyone tell me which one that was?"

"Kiss'mass?" asked Denali.

"That's right, so the only day that Santa could give Pakak to be free to do as he wanted was Christmas, the rest of the year, Pakak slept in a totem pole until Christmas Eve.

The pole suddenly shattered into a black fog, which swirled in the wind before forming into a dark brown Coyote wearing Inuit necklaces. "Ah, time for me to have a little fun!" said Pakak, smiling mischeiviously.

"Oh Christmas time is here once more! But in all honesty, its not the season I adore!" Pakak sung, flying into town and looking down at Christmas lights and people walking below. "No, what I like most about this day, is that I get to have things my way!" he continued. "And what way is that?" he asked the audience. "Well you see, when I'm out on the run, all I want is a little fun!" he sung, looking down and breathing ice on a path in front of a man, causing him to trip and fall, presents going everywhere, Pakak laughing cruelly.

"Now I know I can be a bit of a stinker, but that just makes it sweeter!" he sung, getting on top of a roof and morphing into a skunk before spraying down the chimmney, watching the people run out complaining and holding their noses before laughing as he returned to normal. "Peace and good will just ain't my thing, the sound of chaos is prettier than any bell can ring!" he sung, flying over to someone trying to plug in lights snapping his fingers, causing them to go off. When the man turned to check them, he snapped his fingers, making them come back on, then go off whenever he turned around, laughing histerically. "That one never gets old!"

"But you see what makes this worth wild, is ruining the Christmas of a child." he sung, flying over and looking around. "Now I know I sound quite ungrateful, but I a trickster can be vengeful!" he sung, getting a little angry and dropping a water balloon he materilized in his hand on a man in a Santa suit. "That jolly old man in the big red suit, from the rest of the year gave me the boot! Now I don't want to sound fickle, but you see this deal has got me in a bit of a pickle!" he said, snapping his fingers and making the Santa impersonator's pants fall down. "But one day a year, that's just not me, I need to be busy as a bee! If Christmas ends for real, then its Santa who can't keep his end of the deal!" he sung, making a contract materilize and ripping it up, blowing it on the dressed up man's head and blinding him. "And if that happens, then here's the catch, without the deal, I don't have to rest! I can prank all year round, and boy, when that happens I'll be going to town!" he finished, putting a kick me sign on the fake Santa's back. "So if I make kids think Christmas is an awful time, then maybe they'll turn to crime. After all, they want to be good little girls and boys, so Santa will bring them new toys. If their Christmas turns out poorly, they might just be a little more naughty!" he yelled, kicking the man so he spun around, his costume flying off and leaving him in his underwear, Pakak laughing histerically. "And the naughtier the children may be..." he sung, eyes lighting yellow as a kid kicked the 'imposter' in the shin, energy coming from her and into him. "The more power comes to me!"

"Now, let's find a family whose Christmas I can ruin." said Pakak, laughing about his pranks before heading off to find his victim.

"So you see, kids, being a mischief spirit, Pakak draws power from when others are michevious and naughty," explained Aniu. "So if he made kids hate Christmas and not care if they were nice or naughty, and did such things, it makes Pakak stronger. If he became strong enough, he believed he could ruin Christmas for good, freeing him from his deal and allowing him to run rampant."

Blaze pouted, looking unhappy. "He no sound nice." she said, ears going back.


Katie nodded, looking to Aniu to speak before going on. "Thats not the half of it. From what I'ge heard, Pakak likes picking on extra happy people and families too." she said, recalling last Christmas.

"It was our first Christmas as a family... Brother and I were very happy, and Mama and Papa visited Christmas Eve..."

Kodi smiled, coming up to his mate and four beautiful children. The joy of the season filled, along with the euphoria of his lve for his new family.

" Kodi!" Katie called, running up to nuzzle her mate. "we've missed Papa so much." she said coyly, watching their pups scramble to snuggle with their Papa.

Kodi grinned, nudging everyone towards the den. "Come on, Grandma and Grandpa will be here soon to see us for Christmas!" Kodi had already spoken to Katie and their pups about the holiday and all six of them were absolutely giddy!


OOC: Was that okay?

"We were just pups ourselves at the time," explained Lena.

Lena ran up to her papa and nuzzled him. "Papa! I miss papa!"

Cachen cuddled up to his parents. "Momma, Santy Claws bring us presents?" he asked.

"Now, Pakak had found our nice little family that night and decided to pick it to be his toy for the night." said Aniu.

Pakak peeked into the den. "Oh what's this I see? A family so filled with glee?" he asked, rhyming just for the fun of it. "Now, how do I break up this happy little time? So many choices, I could pretend to be another girl," he said, morphing into Dusty. "But then I'd have to kiss him...no never again will I do that to another male," he said, returning to his base forms. "Maybe an old flame of the female?" he asked, morphing into a handsome wolf. "Nah, males probably will bite me," he said, changing back. "Let's see, make a list." he said, materilizing a list. "Break of the parents, get the pups lost, and if possible, frame one of the parents for it..." he said, markings appearing on the list in flames.

Balto was with Jenna and Rosie. "Ready to see Kodi and the pups for Christmas?"

"Me and Momma were excited to, having no idea what was going to happen." said Balto.

OOC: Can Kodi have a gift for Katie and that be how he does it?

OOC: That sounds perfect!

Jenna smiled, being patted by Rosie. "They're our grandchildren, I'd visit then in a blizzard. I just want too make sure I get Rosie home safe," she said rounding a corner. Rosie patted both dogs on the head before running into the house. "Alright, to the pups. And their first Christmas!"


Katie grinned, looking at her mate's amused smile. "I'm sure he will, Cachen." she said, grooming her pups contentedly. "I don't want anything but this, Kodi."

Kodi laughed, nuzzling Lena. "Too bad, I was able to get you something and you're getting it tonight!"


Tai giggled, snuggling with her Father. "Papa gon' be sneaky!"

Sakak smiled. "Well well, let's see what he got his little mate for Christmas...but maybe leave them with a parting gift before hand..." he said, thinking of something. "That's it!" he said, morphing into a porcupine. He walked slowly into the den and backed into Kodi's hindquarters with his quills

Balto nodded. "Yeah...so, you ever seen Santa Claus?" he asked.

"You see kids, us dogs get to meet Santa more often than humans do, because while he doesn't like humans to see him and ruin the suprise, dogs can't talk, so he doesn't mind talking to them, and giving them a treat or two." explained Balto. "You see, Santa is special, he can talk to animals too."

OOC: Is it just me, or does Sakak kinda remind you of Belladonna from All Dogs Go To Heaven?
