I know I may be a LITTLE off topic with this post, so you can be mad at me all you want, and I'll delete this comment if you want me too.

But many inexperienced artists trace screenshots, or copy poses, all the time for their FANART galleries, and either make it the same character or a different character. And almost no one thinks that's wrong. (not posting my opinion on wether this is wrong or not)

So aren't renders basically the same thing? It's just a thought.

Tracing is a way of learning, but that doesn't mean you should POST IT. Most of the time its obvious as well, and really doesn't impress anyone.

As for copying poses, basically the same thing, but you can't copyright a pose. Screenshots were made by paid professionals, therefore they ARE copyrighted materials. Editing them is basically stealing if there's no permission. Its like someone going into you your gallery and taking a picture, then recoloring it.
