Jenna smiled at the little pup, always curious. "Because she's been busy, and she must have come to visit, or maybe something needs to be told." she said, nearing the den now.
Tai looked a little nervous. "I hope everyone gets here soon." she said, nuzzling Cachen lightly.

Ken saw the den and barked happily, he and Denali taking off. They reconized Aleu by scent and tackled her, unknowing of her injuries and licked her face. "Hi sister!"
"Aleu, that's your little brother and sister." said Cachen, smiling.
Fang looked to Kodi. "Hey, isn't that your mom up ahead with your baby siblings?"

Aleu's eyes widened, and she winced as he tackled her. "Oh, hi." she said, looking at the four of them as Blaze and Derbin rushed in, excited. "You must be Kenai and Denali." she said, nuzzling them both. "So you two are Blaze and Derbin." she said, nuzzling them as well. "did i get it right?" she asked.
Blaze nodded ecstatically. "Yes! Yes!"
Tai giggled. "they get cuter every time." she said, looking at the four greet their big sister.
Kodi nodded, running up to nuzzle his mother, before going into the den, greeting Aleu and nuzzling Katie. 'are you okay?" asked, and she nodded, pointing her muzzle to Aleu.
"We found your sister injured."

Denali nodded. "You got names right." she said, nuzzling her big sister. "You look like wulf, just like me!"
Cachen nodded. "They're puppies, puppies are always adorible." he said, smiling at the four tiny puppies. "I'm glad they get to meet their big sister."
Balto ran up to Jenna. "Hey, I heard the howl, what's going on?"
Fang looked to Kai. "You doing ok, little guy?"

Aleu nodded gently, smiling. "Yes, we do, don't we?" she said, nuzzlign the little pup carefully.
Tai nodded, grinning wide. "Puppies always make me feel better. Their minds are filled with such happy thoughts." she said, referring to her own power.
"I don't know, but Aleu might have something to do with it. She's in the den." she said, pointing with her muzzle.
Kai blushed a little, setting his jaw. "I'm okay..." he said. "Why?"

"Aleu?" asked Balto, suprised. He went into the den and smiled seeing his daughter. "Aleu!" he called, running over and nuzzling his daughter. "I missed you so much."
Denali smiled. "Hi papa!"
Cachen nodded. "Yeah, they are." he said, then turned to Goldie. "They're cute, aren't they?"
"You did give the emergency howl." said Fang.

Aleu turned her head from her little siblings, watching her mother and father come in. "Papa!" she said, nuzzling ihm in return. "It's been a while. I missed you all, too."
Blaze started to jump up and down, excited. "Papa! Papa!"
Derbin looked up from between his sdister's forelegs, sitting and safely nestled inside. "Hi!"
Goldie looked at the pups with a grin. "They're adorable! I just hope that I get a nice little family when I'm older." she said, reflecting dreamily at the prospect.
Kai nodded. "Mama told me to. My voice carries." he said simply, cocking an eyebrow. "What's there to be nervous about? We've done lots of things, beaten a lot of bad things- what's to say we can't stop this Amarok?"

Balto nuzzled his babies, especially Blaze, the hyper little pup. He then nuzzled Aleu. "Aleu...I've missed you so much...what brings you back here? Is everything alright?"
Ken and Denali just set and watched, wanting to know the same thing.
Cachen blushed and licked her cheek. "I hope so too."
Fang's fur stood up. "Amarok?...Kai...what is this about the Amarok?"

Aleu smiled, watching the little pups. She frowned. "No, everything's not alright. The whole pack is afraid now, and angry with me. they think I let out the Amarok."
Derbin frowned and nuzzled Aleu, seeing she was upset.
Goldie blushed too. she looked away. "How many would you want?' she asked shyly.
Kai shrugged. "i dunno. but Momma and aunt Aleu and Grandma Lenatei are nervous. Aniu's supposed to show up soon."

Balto frowned and nuzzled his daughter. "I'm sorry Aleu...I was hoping everything would work out...but I'm sure its not your fault."
Denali nuzzled her big sister, trying to cheer her up.
"I don't know, but maybe four, that seems nice." said Cachen, smiling.
Fang shook his head. "I was hoping it was a myth...when we were on a mail run to an Inuit village, I heard them tell stories about a mythical creature called the Amarok, a spirit beast that stalked the wilderness and would tear apart anyone that wondered out too far at night...I thought it was just a story they told thier kids to keep them inside at night." he said. "Lets head into the den and wait for Aniu to explain."

"It's not my fault!" Aleu said, looking extremely upset. "everything was going just fine until we crossed back to the mainland."
Goldie shrugged, giggling happily. 'i always thought six was the perfect number."
Kai looked nervous for a minute, before turning and heading into the den. It was a bit crowded. "Be careful, Fang!" Kai said, having almost squished Blaze.

Fang carefully moved into the den and set next to Kai.
Balto nuzzled his daughter lovingly. "It's ok...everything will work out."
Aniu and Lenatei appeared in the den. "Hello, my family...I wish we met under more present circumstances."
Kenai looked to Jenna. "Momma, who pretty wulf?"

Katie looked up, fear and ocncern she hadn't felt since the ordeal with Mako invaded her heart. "What's going on, Aniu? What happened with Amarok?" she asked, glancing around at her pups and family members, afraid for them.
Jenna smiled, looking at Kenai sweetly. "That's Aniu, sweetie. She's a big part of the family. You'll understand more later." she said, not knowing if he would understand she was his Grandmother.

Aniu sighed. "I'm afraid somehow, the Totem Pole keeping the Amarok imprisoned has been destroyed." she said. "Aleu...don't blaim yourself, it wasn't your fault and its wrong the pack blaims you." she explained. "For those of you who don't know, the Amarok is an Inuit mythical beast. Centuries ago, it prowled the frozen expanses, tearing any unfortunate enough to cross paths with it to shreds, human or animal. Finally, the humans and wolves united and worked together against it. The Amarok is a spirit beast, making it unkillable by any normal weapon, so they blessed and enchanted a Totem Pole with enchanted runes." she explained. "Finally, they managed to use fire to burn the Amarok and the wolves help drive it into a pit, after which that Totem Pole was dropped down on top of it, imprisoning it underground." she explained. "This is also how wolves became demosticated and eventually became what are now called dogs."
"Now that the Amarok is free again, it'll destroy and kill everything in its path." said Lenatei. "You've faced many dangers, my family, but they weren't like this, the Amarok is from the spirit world, it's not a mortal creature that can be killed or hurt by normal means and it wields great power."

Aleu gasped, ears flat back against her head. "Then what will happen? Does it affect the pack? My family?" she asked, trying to stand, but falling back to the ground. "What will the Amarok do now that it's out?"
Katie sighed, nuzzling Kodi softly. She knew her family would have something to do with it.
"So you want us to kill it?" asked Kai, looking determined. His eyes shifted, worrying, afriad. But he didn't let it show . How can it be killed if it's unkillable? We don't have the tools to make fire, and we wouldn't really be able to use them anyway."
