"Let's hurry, then!" Casey called out over her shoulder, already beginning to run. She felt an odd anticipation as she ran; almost as if she knew something exciting was going to happen. Then again, they were going to the forest. She often felt like this before entering the secluded, dense barrier of trees. She didn't wait for Brian; he was sure to be following, right on her tail.

A familiar sight soon met Casey's eyes; the entrance to the forest. It looked as if it had sprung up from nowhere, the trees began in what was a bare area, with only sparse scrub and dead grass. Until you reached the trees. It looked almost comical, to her. Basically, a bare, boring area, than bam! A massive forest just sitting their, sunlight barely filtering through the thick canopy of leaves overhead.

Damian and Cyclone had just arrived there only minutes before Casey had. Because of this, Damian never heard them step foot near the trees and brush. He continued leading his giant dragon through the forest until he came to an opening in the trees. It was a large circle where the trees were non existent. Instead of filling the space, they just continued growing around the field. Here the grass was lush and green. The trees and brush grew so tall that even flying around in the sky wouldn't be noticeable because they would be covered by the evergreen.

When they reached the center, Damian clicked his tongue. "C'mon boy! Let's fly!" he said aloud. It wasn't like anyone could hear them. For all he knew there wasn't anyone around for miles. He then proceeded to climbing up on the dragon's back. Using the footholds in the custom made saddle to hop up, he quickly was on Cyclone's back. Cyclone made a screeching roar.

Ready for this? Cyclone asked.
Ready as I'll ever be! Damian replied excitedly.

And with that, they took off, soaring through the sky. Since Cyclone had only had a bit of practice having a rider, being that Damian had to learn how to take care of the large creature all on his own, the flight wasn't all that smooth. This was part of the reason they needed to come here and practice in the first place. So they could perfect their skills.

Ooc:// For the sake of continuing with the original plot without too much change, Cyclone will NOT be in the dried up riverbed. Casey, Brian, and Jake will discover the eggs there though, but they never see Cyclone or Damian. Only after they hatch to the find eachother, which I will direct through Casey.

And for the sake of not wasting weeks waiting for them to grow large enough to ride on, the growing process will be sped up with the dragons.

I hope everyone is okay with this.

OOC: I'm a bit confused... So... Lemme see if I got this. They never see Cyclone or Damian until after the eggs hatch, right? Because if so, I'll just limit my posts to make sure I don't change the plot anymore. Sorry if I did. I didn't mean to. And is Paws even in this RP? *looks around* Dontcha mean spiritwolfie77?

I'll wait until Spiritwolfie77 posts, so that both Casey and Brian arrive before Jake.

Brian chuckled and shouted, "Hey! Wait up!" He also felt like somthing was going to happen, but he wasnt sure what. Brian jogged after her into the beautiful wooded area. All he wanted to do was walk up to the biggest tree and start climbing.

He looked around and got a peculiar feeling in his gut, but not as if somthing bad was going to happen. It was more as if the trees and plants had a strange excitement to them and thay were throwing invisible balls of it at him. Although it was a strange feeling, he liked it and kept on walking, following Caseys lead.

Jake broke into a run, and soon the city area became less and less until finally he was no longer in the city, but in the forest where he and his friends Casey and Brian would play and hang out. He spotted them not too far off, and ran up to them. "Hey guys." He said to them. Jake looked around the area, it seemed so mysterious, so enigmatic. It seemed like a puzzle that would take thousands of years to figure out. This time, there was a feeling in the air around them that he couldn't quite put his finger on. "Anybody else feel that?" He muttered, not wanting them to hear yet wanting them to hear at the same time. The mixed emotions were like two beings as one, each having a different oppinion, kind of like a split personality except not as crazy. Jake tried to shake the feeling away, but it lingered with him, or rather within him, as if something here was just begging to be found and that he was the one to find it. 'This place is stranger than normal.' He thought.

As Damian and Cyclone flew faster and faster through the wind, they began steadying a lot more. No longer were they wiggling around in the air. Now they were perfectly in sync. It seemed as if the two creatures became one. All the things around them turned into little more than a rushing blur. Damian laughed in pure amazement and astonishment. He never knew he could feel something like this. "Woohoo!" he yelled out.

~~~
After about half an hour, Damian decided the twosome had gotten enough practice for the day. Or, at least, for now. He decided to go home. "C'mon boy," he whispered. Cyclone nodded and followed. Soon they were home. With fresh meat in the cabinet, Damian grabbed a peice and threw it to Cyclone. The large dragon, in turn, chomped it up like if it was nothing. If ya want more, just go through there, okay? Make sure not to eat all of it though so we can have some for tomorrow! He laughed out loud. Cyclone nodded happily and ate.
OOC: From now until the rest of the charries find the eggs, I'll just stop posting and stuff. I'll still be following along, but I don't wanna have anyone wait for me cause I'm not posting X3 So yeah, I'll be following along, but since I doubt anyone will be interacting with my character for a while, I won't post until a while after they find the eggs. ;]
Ooc:// Alright. ;) I'll keep that in mind.
-----------
"Feel what?" Casey asked, cocking her head. There was a slight breeze going through, carrying the first cold bite of autumn. Other than that, there was a feeling on the corner of her mind, tugging persistently for attention. She focused on it; it was the feeling of both anticipation, apprehension, and change. "The breeze, or the weird feeling in the air?" Personally, she doubted it was the latter. Then again, she was known for being wrong quite often.
Casey stepped backwards as she waited for an answer, and idle movement that often bore no consequence...except for this time. She found herself slipping over a moss-covered tree root, her arms pinwheeling as she struggled to stay upright. Her movements were in vain, and she flailed as she fell backwards, landing on her backside in the dry riverbed. She hadn't realized they were so close, and winced in both surprise and pain; she must've twisted her ankle.
She reached down to rub the wrenched, knotted muscles, and Casey's eyes glinted as they fell upon an almost ethereal object. A smooth, large stone sat near her foot, its iridescent green surface shining and seeming to move under the sunlight. She blinked, rubbing her eyes with her free hand; the movement must;ve been a trick of the light. But when she peered closer, she saw shadows flitting inside, like there was something living there. She hesitated, unwilling to touch it yet for some odd reason.
"The weird feeling in the air." Replied Jake. He unconsiously looked in the direction of where something was calling to him, calling to him silently, begging, pleading to be found. It was in the direction of the city, and curiosity flowed through Jake faster than a rapid river. As he turned around he saw Casey take a single step back and slip into the dry riverbed. "Are you alright?" He asked, trying his best to hold in a laugh. His smiles faded when his eyes rested upon the green stone. "Woah, what is that? Do you think it's a type of emerald or something?" He asked the other two. Again, yet stronger this time, a strange feeling seemed to enter his mind, and Jake took a small moment to wonder if he was going crazy. He took a few steps in the direction of the city. "I need to go guys...I, uh..Forgot to lock the door." He lied quickly, then turned around and broke into a run. The feeling grew stronger and stronger, and it was at its strongest when he passed the junkyard. Jake stopped, the feeling seemed to be almost pulling him towards the junkyard. He curiously walked through the open gate, luckily security wasn't in the area today.
He looked around at the large piles of junk, wanting to find what was causing the strange feeling in the air and within his mind. Not long after he passed the broken-down vehicle section, he saw something shine from within an old, busted tyre. Gingerly, Jake approached the tyre. Inside the tyre was an oval-shaped stone, much like the one Casey had found, only it was a deep, crimson red. He ran his fingers over the surprisingly smooth surface and the strange feeling in the air almost ceased to exist anymore. 'Looks like I found what was causing all that weirdness...What is it?' He thought.
Brian wasnt paying attention to what the other two were talking about. He walked up to a tree and put his hand on it. As soon as he did so, he got the sudden urge to turn around and look in between two really close trees, so he did. The glint of a yellow, oval rock caught his eye. "Woah!" he mutterd to himself as he moved tword it. He went to touch it, but pulled his hand back and turned to find Casey and Jake.
"Hey guys, am I the only one seeing a large, weirdly colored rock?" he asked with a strange tone in his voice that confused him more. Was this why he felt so awkward? Was this why the forest had this stange call to them on this day. He felt it was, and didnt know what to think.
Casey watched in silence as Jake ran off. She could easily call him later, and honestly, wished to be alone with the stone for a while. Finally, she reached out and touched it, her hand trembling in hesitation. Her fingers slid over the smooth surface, and she exhaled in surprise; while it should've been cold, shielded by leaves as it was, it was warm to the touch.
Dimly, she heard Brian's question ring through the still forest air, and opened her mouth to answer, pulling her gaze away from the stone. "No...I found a green one." Her words were slow and delibrate as her gaze strayed back to the gleaming surface. She couldn't shake the image of shadows moving beneath it; blinking wouldn't get rid of it.
"Brian, I think I'm going to go home now..." she began, her voice still slow. "I want to look more at the stone."
Casey picked up the stone. It wasn't all that heavy, and she tucked it into the crook of her elbow. She nodded in Brian's direction in a reply, and made her way out of the riverbed. Lost in thought, she was surprised to find herself out of the forest in what seemed like seconds. She pulled herself back into reality, and shivered as another cold wind cut through her jacket and shirt, sending a chill deep into her skin.
That gave her an idea. She tucked the stone into her jacket, wrapping her arms around it. While she may get an odd look or two, no one would be gawking at what looked like a really big emerald. She made her way through the streets, quickly getting to her home. Silently thanking her parents for buying a house so close to the forest, she pulled out her key and unlocked the door. She lived alone with her father, who happened to be on a business trip.
Casey thanked that fact too; she wanted to look at the stone alone, away from any prying eyes. She set it down on the couch, running her fingers absently over the smooth surface as she gazed into it's depths.
-------------
Casey jolted upright, eyelids fluttering like camera shutters as she struggled to get her bearings. What a strange dream... she thoughts, as memories flooded back to her. Looking at the stone, she saw that her "dream" had been reality; she must've fallen asleep outside. She saw the night sky oustide; it looked like the sunset had just faded, leaving only stars behind. But that wasn't what really caught her attention; it was a cracking noise. She peered at the stone again, only to see a large crack running down the side.
A soft cry left her lips as she stared at it in surprise. "What is going on?" she murmured. Then realization flooded over her; it wasn't a stone... it was an egg. But a question still remained; What was inside of it?
The answer came in the form of what appeared to be a large lizard...with wings. Looking at the creature in wonder, she saw it was a dragon. She couldn't help it; she gave a quick scream. Dragons only appeared in movies...how could one be in her house, just having hatched from an egg?!
The green dragon hiccuped and cocked it's head in confusion, as if it was wondering why she had screamed. Casey saw she had nothing to fear from the tiny dragon, and she slowly moved her right hand towards it. As her fingers made contact with it's scale-clad head, her palm experienced a burning sensation.
