Griffin's face immediately broke into a smile as soon as Rose spoke the words. He turned back to see the Council come, looking straight at the two. "You sure you want to do this? You may get into a lot of trouble." The Council was glaring at the vampire, obviously looking upon him with so much disdain that their eyes were overflowing with it.

He took one look at the people and hissed silently. They had been after him for an entire week and were too persistent. He wanted so badly to get revenge, and he would have if it wouldn't have been for Rose. "You have to hurry and say so because if not, I'm afraid I may rip these guys' heads off. And I really don't want to do that because they're probably your friends and family." His eyes looked at her with a silent longing.

Rose glanced over her shoulder at the members of the Council behind her. She really only recognized one of the men as her father's co-worker who her father didn't particularly like anyways. Still, it was obvious that the man also recognized Rose because of his wide eyes staring straight at her. At least now she knew that her parents would be fully informed about the company she was keeping that day.

"It's a little too late for me to deny my involvment with you," Rose said, turning her head away from the Council police. If there had been any hope fot her to go back to her normal life before, it was all gone now. Her face would be on as many wanted posters as any other convicts. There was also a good possiblity that her parents would be part of the process that would hunt her down. That thought was hard to swallow, but Rose knew it as true.

Ooc:// Do you think we should bring some of the other characters in now?

OOC: LOL I forgot we had other characters hahah XD Yeah let's bring them in. Maybe you can somehow make Rose remember about her best friend Jamie and want to go get her before they go? I dunno. Cause it seems none of the other characters already know them besides Jamie. Oh and if you do decide to do that, remember that Rose doesn't know Jamie's a vampire. If you'd rather me bring in Jamie some other way, let me know and I'll edit this post.

Griffin saw the slight pain in Rose's eyes, and by her words it was becoming obvious. "I'm sorry if I ruined your life," he began. "Trust me, though, I'll spend the rest of eternity making it up to you if I have to." There was a determination in his eyes that could now be fully seen. You would have to be blind not to notice it. "Hold on tight," he said in a whisper as he took Rose's arms around his neck.

With that, he sped through the forest. The muffled angry voices of the council slowly disappeared behind them. When they were miles and miles away, Griffin stopped. He puffed out the shortest breath you'd ever hear and looked around. "Anything else you wanted to do before we completely left town?" He asked gently. He knew this must be hard for her, leaving all her friends and family behind for some stranger she hadn't even known for more than a day. "Are there any friends you wanted to tag along? So you won't be stuck all the time with just me?" His voice has a teasing note to it, but you could tell what he was trying to convey in his words. I know it's hard. Bring your friends along if it'll make you feel more comfortable. Although, there was something else in his eyes that added to the sentence. Make sure they don't hate vampires, though. Cause then we'd be in trouble.

It was obvious that Rose couldn't call on her family. Not only would they try to kill Griffin without mercy, but they'd scold Rose for the rest of her life about the incident. Griffin silently waited for her answer, a tug at his heart starting to form. He hoped if she picked to bring a friend along, that it would be the right one. If not, it could be an interesting journey to who knows where.

(That plan sounds good to me!)

Rose thought about Griffin's prospersition for a moment. She hadn't kept in contact with many of her friends from the old days when they were all allowed out of the house to be together. As for family, well, they were all involved with the Council in one way or another. Her uncles, aunts, cousins, she couldn't go to any of them for help.

But there was one person that even through these hard times had managed to stay friends with her. Jamie's face came to mind and suddenly Rose knew that she couldn't disappear on some adventure without at least telling her best friend that she would be away. Besides, Jamie had never seemed like she truely hated vampires like the rest of society, so if anyone would be willing to run away in the company of a vampire, it would be Jamie. "There is one person who I would at least like to see before leaving town," Rose said, excited at the thought of having her best friend come along with her.

When Rose thought about it a second longer, though, suddenly her heart beat quickened in nervousness. "But she does live in town," Rose admitted. "Or at least she used to the last time I was with her." But as Rose thought longer about her friend's home, Rose came to realize that since the revelation, Rose had no idea where Jamie now lived. "Actually, it's really embarrassing but... I'm not quite sure where she lives nowadays. She's always come to see me ever since the Council took over."

Griffin perked up a bit more as Rose's tone began flitting to near joy. He smile warmly and said, "Well then let's go find her!" But as Rose explained how they hadn't kept in touch for a while and that she wasn't sure of her exact location, Griffin smiled even wider. "Well then I guess we'll just have to look for her, won't we?" He paused. "Where's the last place you remember her living? Her last house?"

As Griffin asked, he sniffed the air, trying to catch a scent of someone who had Rose's scent brushed off of them, but he was a bit too far away to tell and if they hadn't been near each other in a while, it would be a very difficult feat to achieve. "Wherever that is, we can start looking. We'll probably find her someway or another. I doubt she'd leave town without telling you." His remark had a double meaning to it, even if he hadn't meant it to be that way, but it wasn't sinister in the least.

Griffin's whole outlook was rather calm, despite the blood on his sleeves. His fangs had long since retracted to their smaller (but larger than the average human's canines) size, and there was no more blood on his teeth or lips.


Jamie wandered around her small home, trying to find somewhere safe to hide. The Council still hadn't detected her yet, but it was like living hell having to walk around in a place she was supposed to find comforting with all the wood and steel. The steel she didn't mind, but every single time she touched the wood it weakened her ten fold. She could barely stay in any corner of the house without being drained of all her energy. Still, she had to keep on her act of being human, not only so she wouldn't get caught, but also due to the fact she was still contemplating whether to tell Rose or not.

After all, would Rose even be able to accept vampires? She had never shown true signs of hating them, but she hadn't shown any signs of loving them either. Jamie had been waiting all this time with her dreadful secret trying to figure out if she should burst the bubble of her 'humanity'. What if Rose hated vampires? What would she do then? She may even call the Council on her and then Jamie would be hauled off to her death.

But no, Jamie couldn't think like that. Rose was her best friend. She wouldn't do that, would she? Jamie's thoughts were flickering as she sat in a corner of the house where the wood hadn't been finished being nailed. She wondered all these things as she sat in that corner, a desperate creature who wanted to tell someone, to pour out her soul to someone. The only human she could ever think to trust was Rose, she hoped.

Rose smiled even more as she thought about seeing Jamie again. She took a moment to recall where Jamie's house was, whether she still lived there or not, Rose couldn't be quite sure. "Yeah, you're right. She is my best friend after all. She better not have left me behind without at least saying good-bye," Rose said light-heartedly, though her smile fadded just a bit just at the idea that Jamie had done just that. But that wasn't like Jamie to do something like that. These had been strange times though, and whenever Rose was around Jamie she acted very strangely. Rose's mind flashed back to the sick, weak look Jamie had about her.

"She did used to live on the east side of town," Rose explained to Griffin. "If you head that way, I can point out exactly which house it is." Rose smiled up at Griffin, but couldn't help but notice his still slightly enlongate canines. Even though they were nothing like they had been before, Rose just now began to notice the little things that made Griffin look different from humans. There was no flush to his cheeks and his eyes held a depth to them that Rose had never seen before, but that may have not been because Griffin was a vampire. Rose decided that it may have also been her attraction to him, which scared her more than the fact that he held her life in his hands.

Griffin, unaware of Rose's realizations on his vampiric features, nodded. "Alright then. Let's head out that way." He took Rose again and wistfully headed eastward, back towards the town. It didn't take long at all, 10 minutes at most. He set her down gently in the middle of the street. He tried sniffing the air. "When was the last time you were with her?" He asked as he started to walk forward. He tried sniffing the air again, but to no avail.

Suddenly, though, as he came towards another column of houses, he thought he smelled the faintest scent of Rose nearby. It was so faint, though, that if he had had the slightest distraction, he wouldn't have been able to sense it at all. He walked in that direction, motioning for Rose to follow. He hoped she would recognize the house some way or another. After all, she had said she was going to remember it no matter what.


Meanwhile, as the two searched for the house and came around to Jamie's area, the girl got up from her corner of the house and looked outside the window. Where she should have been burned to a crisp but the sun, she wasn't, thanks to her charmed bracelet. Not many vampires had these, but it seemed that that was something Griffin and Jamie shared: the ability to walk in the sun due to a charmed accessory.

Looking out the window, she saw a strange blond haired teen. She tried to take in a breath, despite the fact she didn't even need to breathe, and smelled his scent. She backed up a bit, but didn't go so far that she had to actually try and make out the guy's features. Just then, though, she saw a very familiar girl behind him. She squinted her crystal blue eyes and pushed a lock of her jet black hair out of her face at the stunning sight. Could it be? Was it Rose? She was overtaken with a sudden feeling of wanting to go outside and wist her away with a hug. Only one question kept her from doing so, though. Why was she with a vampire?

Rose walked a step behind Griffin, recognizing a few of the houses. They were very close to Jamie's house, which Rose was about to point out until Griffin changed his direction a bit and headed right towards Jamie's house. Rose wanted to ask how he knew which house to go to, but decided that she probably wouldn't understand even if Griffin told her. She was quickly learning that vampires had a lot of strange abilities.

"It was about two weeks ago, maybe a few days less than that," Rose said to Griffin, recalling the last time she was with Jamie. She remembered how horrible she looked that day and how strange she acted. So different. Rose left this out though, and just stuck with the basics. "We hang out outside my house. She didn't like to be cooped up inside as much as I do. We didn't do much but sit there. We hardly even talked at all. She hasn't been the same since the revelation. It affected her a lot, but she never did tell me the reason why." Rose shrugged it off, even though the issue really did bother her.

When Jamie's house came into view, Rose said, "This house here." She pointed at the house at the same time that she spotted Jamie in the window. Rose waved to her friend, a happy smile on her face. Rose was a little confused at the look on Jamie's face, but then she remembered the boy beside her. Jamie couldn't know wgat Griffin was, but it was probably still very strange for Rose to be haning around some guy who Jamie didn't know.

Griffin nodded just as Jamie opened the door a bit hesitantly. Without even thinking, she said, "Rose.. would you mind telling me what you're doing with a vampire?" She asked with a hint of shock. She was so surprised to see Rose with one of her own that she didn't even realize what she had just said until it had already come out. "Oops... I mean," She stuttered.

Griffin raised an eyebrow at the strange girl. How could she possibly know what he was by just looking at him? He hadn't even opened his mouth to speak, so she couldn't have guessed by the fangs. The blood on his shirt could have been that he was attacked. So how did she know he was a vampire on the spot? He knew the second he smelled the air. Now that she was out of a wood filled house, it was a snap to sense what she really was. The way Rose acted around her, though, and the things she said only a few seconds ago led him to believe she didn't know what she was. "Uh... Rose?" His voice had an edgy, but worried note to it as he was about to tell Rose about the 'secret'.

Jamie got in front of him and pushed him out of the way faintly. "Hi Rose! It's so awesome to see you!" She hugged her friend while looking back at him. She secretly mouthed, Please don't tell her. I'm going to later.

Griffin was a bit surprised, but eventually a smile crossed his face and he nodded.

Jamie turned back to her friend as the hug subsided. She didn't even bother saying anything more, hoping Rose forgot about her knowing Griffin was a vampire. Then again, she wasn't always that lucky.

Rose opened her mouth to greet Jamie as soon as she opened the door, but she was shocked into the silence when Jamie said the word 'vampire.' How did Jamie know what Griffin was?! Before Rose could voice her surprise, she was swept up into one of Jamie's hugs. "Yeah, hi, Jamie," Rose forced out, still bewildered by what Jamie had said. When Jamie finally let her down, she looked between Jamie and Griffin, giving them both a second for one of them to explain how Jamie knew.

Rose wanted to say something, deciding that introductions were the best way. "Jamie, this is Griffin. He's a... a friend," she said, not wanting to explain everything about them just yet. "And Griffin, this is Jamie."

When neither of them said anything to clear up Jamie's words, Rose finally decided to say something. "Jamie, what was it that you said about Griffin just now?" Rose asked.

Griffin stood perfectly still, not wanting to break Rose and Jamie's friendship by saying something about the girl's scent. He gave Jamie a look and she sighed.

"Listen, Rose? I never told you because I thought you'd hate me for it, but seeing that you're with one, I should probably confess now. I know he's a vampire because I'm a vampire too. I scented the air and knew what he was immediately. I was going to tell you eventually, but I was afraid you'd hate me because of what I was. Now I saw you with this guy.. Griffin was it? Well, I saw you with a vampire and I thought it was time to tell you. Don't blame him. I made him keep quiet." Her eyes strayed to the ground as she finished what she had to say. She hoped so badly that Rose would forgive her, her heart ached even though it wasn't beating. "I'm so sorry I didn't tell you earlier," she said, trying her hardest not to meet her gaze.

Rose stared at Jamie with wide eyes, seeing her in a whole different light. All the little things that she had noticed about Griffin just a few moments before Rose was also now seeing in Jamie's features. Rose took a deep breath, trying to slow her racing heart. "Jamie, I could never hate you," Rose said, pulling her into another hug. "And of course I forgive you. You didn't really even do anythin wrong. But I'm glad you're telling me now."

Rose pulled out of the hug, remembering that Jamie still had no idea while Rose was with Griffin in the first place. "I guess I have some explaining to do myself," she said, glancing at Griffin before continueing. "I, uh, got into a little trouble with the Council. I helped Griffin escape from them and I think someone recognized me. We're, um, kind of leaving town soon. Well, more like right now, actually." Rose bit her bottom lip before giving Jamie a weak smile. Not even Jamie, Rose's best freind, would ever have imagined the Rose, the quiet and rule abidding Rose, could get into that much trouble within about an hour or two.

Jamie's expression broke into the biggest grin her face had ever experienced. "Thank you, Rose!" She was filled with excitement. From then on, she knew she and Rose would be together forever. Or.. at least as long as Rose lived... if she never turned she'd basically grow old and die. Jamie's eyes went sad at the thought, but she pulled herself together by the time Rose explained about Griffin. She glanced back toward the male vampire. "Hm, so looks like you've gotten yourself into some trouble, huh?" She laughed. "That doesn't seem like the quiet, non- rule breaking girl I know." She pat Rose on the back. "So, do you want me to come? Cause I'd love to!" He dark blue eyes had an ever growing excitement in them. "Let's go!" She said with a cheerful outline on the words. "Time's wasting!"

Griffin had remained silent the whole time, partly listening to their conversation as it went on, but mostly focusing on the distant sounds. He tried to hear the Council so far off. Their noises seemed to be getting closer. By the time Jamie had said she'd come and that they should get a move on, Griffin pushed the others forward. He was too concerned for Rose that he didn't really remember to explain. "C'mon, we have to go." His voice was rough but gentle at the same time. It was hard to explain. It was as if his rough voice was a protecting one at the same time. Not meant to scare the two girls, but to go against anyone who tried to hurt them. Still, though, he sorta forgot to explain. And he wouldn't do so until someone did remind him. He was so consumed with the thoughts of getting there, a glassy look came into his eyes, almost as if he was being controlled by the pure instinct to save the one he cared about and the one she cared about.

Rose smiled widely at Jamie when she suggested she come with her and Griffin. "Why do you think we come here?" Rose asked with a laugh in her voice. "I came to see if you would even want to come with us." Rose was very excited that Jamie would be traveling with them. Rose still wasn't sure how much she should trust Griffin, even though she already kind of trusted him completely, but it would be nice to have her best friend with her, who she knew she could trust completely and who had always been there for Rose.

Rose turned to Griffin when he started to push them to leave. "Griffin, what's wrong?" Rose asked with concern. She knew they would have to leave before the council found them, but he was really trying to rush them.

Jamie laughed as Rose told her the obvious reason why they came and said, "Well, I'm not Sherlock Holmes." That laugh coursed through the near air again. Soon, though, as Griffin's voice overtook the silent laughter, the female vampire turned back. She saw nothing, but forgot to tune her ears to hear far off noises. "What the heck is wrong with you, dude?" She asked a bit annoyed. She wasn't the type who liked to be told what to do by anyone except Rose.

Griffin almost hissed at her, due to the fact she was trying to pull the three back to where they were. "Don't be so stubborn! I'm trying to get us away from a threat that could kill us all!" He paused, puffing out a breath of air. His eyes flicked at Rose. "Of course, they probably wouldn't kill Rose since she's never done anything wrong." His eyes turned softer as he said the words. "Plus, she has people she knows apart of it, so she should have nothing to worry about. She'll be fine, death penality wise." His eyes turned back to Jamie and then they hardened again. "We, on the other hand, have to make sure we get out of here fast or die." He glared at her. "So tell me again, why so stubborn?"

Jamie crossed her arms, feeling slightly defeated. Beaten by some guy I don't even know. Jamie thought a bit annoyed but not too much. "Well what is this threat you speak of?"

Griffin's eyes turned grave, but then they suddenly seemed to be able to peirce through even wood. "Are you deaf? The Council isn't too far off, and we're still standing here arguing! Our lives and Rose's life hang in the balance! If we get caught, we'll be staked in the heart in less than a snap of the finger. If Rose gets caught, they'll most likely make her life a living hell, but the keyword would be living." His eyes flared, as if to warn: Don't get on my bad side. You'll regret it.

Jamie seemed to get the message and finally let her guard down. She wasn't too happy about being beaten in the fight, but there were more important things to worry about and besides. She'd get over it. She looked at Rose and took her hand, making sure the grip was tight. "Hold on." She soon began to run at her top speed, leaving everything else in the dust.

Griffin ran as well and came up right on the other side of Rose. He turned to her and smiled. "You alright?" His voice was as gentle as ever, in much contrast from just a few minutes ago. They'd be okay for now, but who knew how long or how far the Council would be willing to take their hunt. After all, now that they knew Rose was with them, they'd surely never quit. It'd be a long road if they were never to see them again.

OOC: Do you want to bring in the other characters after they run away, or do you want to wait a bit? Cause if you want to put them in the next scene or whatever, I have an idea. And another thing: are Devin, Cale, and Haley going to be together in the same pack or separated? And will Kendra and Tanya be together as well? (since they’re both more ‘evil’?)
