This is just my opinion here, and warning, I might step on some toes with this one based on looking at the rest of the posts, so know that I have nothing personal against you. Again, it's all opinions people.
Likes/Favorites:Rap: It's complicated really. I don't follow any one artist or band in this area. 95% of the artists that are popular now I really dislike. However, the songs that have meaning to them, aren't vulgar (or I can find a clean version to), and have a nice beat, I'll gladly listen to those. I like a lot of the older rap from the 80's and stuff. I do notice rap is at the top of most of your lists XD. I'd just take a guess and say because most of it isn't even real rap. When I hear stuff like Eminem, Lil Wayne, I say "That isn't good rap, that's just money makers bragging about themselves" Primary reason I dislike Eminem is because he's so profane sounding. The clean versions of his songs make him sound like he's having a seizure. There are good non-stereotypical rap songs out there if you spend a little time looking past the candy rap.
Instrumentals/Jazz: These in particular I really like. Because sometimes, music is better without words. Coming from a musically inclined person (I play the piano), I can appreciate just the pure sound of the notes or strings being played more than other people can at times because to them it seems boring. Not everyone, but a lot.
Electronica/Drum & Bass: This is primarily for my favorite band (a little shameless promoting here) The Luna Sequence. I could really care less about the person but for the music itself. Most in this section is purely instrumental with both techno and metal influences, which is the only way I can stand to listen to metal, but I'll say more on that in a little bit. I don't mind dubstep if I can watch someone dancing like an insane robot while listening. And the soundtrack from Tron was amazing. Which I guess that qualifies as what's down below.
Movie Soundtracks/Scores: I like a lot of these. There's been so many good songs that came from movies I can't mention all of them. But from cartoons and stuff? Heck yeah.
Now on to
Dislikes:Rock: I seem to be on the other end of the spectrum with this one. Let me say this: 99% of it I despise. Most of the classics bore me to death. I don't like what they talk about in the songs (almost all of it's sex related, same with rap so I'm not one sided here). Most of it is just...bleh. Don't get me started because chances are if you have a favorite band, I don't like it XP.
There are some exceptions: I do like some songs, but it's really hard to classify as rock (I'm no music expert so don't quote me). I've heard some songs and bands being qualified as pop/punk and those I like. There were some by Linkin Park (of course Lol) that I liked a lot. And I do have a playlist of "rock" songs, that I listen to occasionally.
Country: Excuse me for a second while I- oh never mind I'm good for now. I'll try not to go off on this, but I can only think of 2 country songs I could bare to listen to. Quite frankly, I can't stand it. I don't like to listen to it, I don't like what it's about (as much as they talk about drinking, I'm surprised they're sober while they're singing), and it has really no meaning for me.
Metal/death metal/ and the like: Yeah sorry, not making the connection here either. I don't like it, both old and new. There was only one way I could stand to listen to stuff that wasn't pure metal and that was the aforementioned Luna Sequence. I found this quote from an "IsekC" video to be hilarious:

Pop/Whatever the heck were they smoking to put it in the top ten: I'm going to name few that I extremely dislike here so if one of these is your fav, too bad XD: Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Ke$ha, I dislike them all. Seriously, if one of their songs came on I'd just change the station. Those are no role models (and what astounds me is that one of them won a kid's choice award), I have a better word to describe what they're like just judging from how they dress (you EAT meat not wear it! -.-), but I will go no further than that.
Well, that's it for now, I may add to this as I see fit or maybe not, but I like to express and expand about things rather then just blindly state "Oh rap sucks, r etards (censoring "*******" seriously?) write it," (Which kind of has a racist slant towards it because most rappers are Black you know, so be careful there please thanks
