"Wanna go out girl?" said a masculine voice, as he leaned down to rub Isabelle's head. The Fae had found a comfortable location in the middle of the kitchen floor, which was a burden to her owner. He couldn't make it to the stove without having to step over her body as she layed sprawled on the floor. Her ebony and ivory colored tail began to thrash furiously against the cold tiles as the mention of going out excited her, Isabelle heaved herself delicately onto her paws. And padded quickly over to the kitchen door, she sat on her haunches and looked back at her owner. Without a relived smile, he opened the door, and the husky bounded out into the snow. Her dark russet harness hung loosely around her torso, as the Fae walked causally over to her blue water bowl that sat in the middle of the yard. She walked past a few pins, and she watched them carefully. Usually, this was where her team mates and herself slept most of the time. But her whimpering and pitiful looks, helped her gain an hour of sleep inside her masters home.

Finally reaching her bowl, she stared down into it. A thin layer of ice and snow cased her water in a block of thin ice. Lifting a paw, she pushed down on the ice. It was so thin, that her paw had broken the ice without much effort. She stared at it for a moment, until she released how foolish she must have looked. Lowering her muzzle, the female lapped up a few sips of water before turning back to the pens. She felt a little restless, and wondered where her pack mates had wandered off too. 'Perhaps their romping in the snow somewhere. . .' She thought quietly, before standing up. Arching her back in a cat like stretch, the bright eyed female walked along the pens once more, searching for her team mates.

Snow flew into the cool air as burgundy cream fur shook itself out of the deep snow. Skoda, the team's leader, was just waking up from her night's sleep as the sun shone its golden rays into her blinking brown eyes. She rose up from the deep snow, vigorously shaking it off her thick coat, exposing herself from her accidental camoflage. She turned and saw Isabelle, a fellow team mate, browsing the pens the musher kept them in. Smiling, she trotted towards her. Good morning, Izzy! she yapped in greeting, holding her tail high and proud with her ears erect. It was only natural behaviour as she was lead dog - the highest rank in the team, and she would make sure her 'pack' understood that to keep the peace. She loved her team, they were like family to her. But that didn't mean she didn't keep them in their place when the musher wasn't in charge.

Digging and panting frantically, Kale blocked out all activity going on from around the house as he was after the scent of a rodent coming from under the building. Heart racing, tongue lolling out of his muzzle, his forest green harness jingling slightly in rhythm of his stokes, he pushed aside rocks and clumps of hard frozen ground. He stopped a moment to check his progress. Lowered as far to the ground as possible, he stuck his nose in the once small hole that he made bigger, and inhaled. The scent was stronger, but also very earthy... and old. What ever creature lived here didn't anymore. Growling quietly in disappointment, he turned away from it in a huff. The sounds of his team perked his interest. Trotting over, he decided before he even heard what was going on, to take his failed pursuit out on someone. Joining the others, he caught Fang making a fool of himself. Perfect. "Smooth genius." He sneered at him. Standing tall with his tail curled yet erect and his head high yet cocked in an arrogant way. Challenging the Canadian Eskimo Dog with out even saying another word to do something about it.

Fang turned back to see Kale. It looked as if the Husky had merely gotten mad over something and was using him as a punching bag. Unfortunately, though, Fang wasn't the type to see that. He took the insult with great anger. Unlike his brother Banshee, who would have been smart enough to see past the comment and would have been able to see it was a clear show of anger misplacement. This situation only further proved the fact that the yellowish - white coated Eskimo Dog wasn't a thinker, but a reactor.

He jumped up immediately, snarling as he did. He quickly knocked down the Siberian Husky, entirely forgetting that the lead dog, Skoda, was watching the whole scene. "Take that back. NOW." His words came as snarls, through sharp, gritted teeth.

Kale was taken back at first by the blow. Rolling across the snow, he laughed and got to his paws. "Never, idiot!" Flattening his ears and baring his fangs, he chuckled in glee. Lowering his body to the ground, he looked smaller than his opponent, though they were about the same size. Preparing his body to spring, he growled with his fur bristling. He loved to fight, but was always broken up before he could try to do any damage. ...and that wasn't about to change. Little did he know where he rolled. And the ground he started the fight on was being used already. As a bed.

A pair of teeth clamped down on his leg, and the husky yelped at the unexpected attack. Falling into the emptying hole as a large Tamaskan rose out of the snow, he found himself on his back and dumbfounded. His expression of shock turned to one of frustration when he realized who he stepped on. "Sisu..." He grumbled up at the 'mother-hen'.

Released so he could speak, the older dog snapped at Kale in a half-daze from the way he was awoken. "What do you think you're doing?"

Sisu knew the husky would love to rip him apart too. He wasn't really sure why he hadn't tried. Maybe his years and size he had on the pup had something to do with it, but he suspected it was because he bored Kale. When they first met, a fight broke out. The older dog didn't start it of course. He was calmly taking the attack, moving out of the way just enough so he couldn't be taken down, until the pup grew tired of bullying. Then he grabbed him by the throat and pinned the foolish youth to the ground. He learned his place that day, and in a way he felt he was respected by the pup a little. One day he felt he would challenge him once more, but until then, he wanted more sleep.

Kale rolled over and shot out of the hole, not stopping but slowing to a slight jog as he walked away muttering, "Nothing!" He shot a glance at Fang saying 'this wasn't over'. He stopped a brief moment to shake the powdery white off his half black pelt, his multi-colored eyes gleaming in furry. Holding his head and tail half up to retain some dignity, he stalked off and disappeared around the corner of the house.

Sisu didn't know what to say to the two on lookers. So he didn't say anything. Heaving a deep sigh, the Tamaskan returned back to his 'bed'. "Will that pup ever learn?" Placing his head on his paws and his tail over his nose, he attempted to return to his slumber, hopefully without being interrupted again.

Skoda watched as the two brothers came onto the scene, and glared at Fang's rude remark. Watch your mouth, Fang, she said angrily, before softening and smiling at him, pushing at his side playfully with her paw. Despite her job to keep her team in check, she was fond of them, and it wasn't like her to take things too seriously. He was just playing around. All of a sudden, Kale entered the scene carrying a strong proud air, and a fight very suddenly broke out. She barked angrily at the two, furious that they were ignoring her. She was relieved when Sisu awoke and put the arrogant husky in his place, before she locked her jaws around his neck and pushed him into the hard snow, growling very loudly into his throat. Despite her elegant posture and petite size, she was incredibly strong - one of the many reasons she was a lead dog, and this definitely helped when it came to teaching trouble makers a painful lesson. She relaxed her grip to speak. Learn to watch your big mouth in the future, Kale. She raised her head to glare angrily at Fang, lowering her ears and pulling back her lips, making sure he knew she was pissed. Stop taking things so dam* seriously next time, Fang. I don't care how much you idiots want to start stupid fights - just know I'll always be here to finish them, she snarled, furious with the behaviour of her team.

After the commotion woke him up, Mika lifted his skinny black and white body from the snow, smirking as Skoda want all alpha-bitch on them. He rolled his eyes, shook his coat free of snow, before trotting into the scene. Morning fellas. Seems I missed a pretty fun fight, he said cooly, before he began pouncing playfully at Fang.

Good morning, Mika, Skoda replied irritably. And there's no such thing as a fun fight on my team, thank you very much. She was sure he wasn't too happy to see her, as they'd never really gotten along. But he was a terrific sled dog, and for now.. this was the only reason she tolerated him.

Skoda rolled her eyes at Fang, before growling again. All she wanted was peace in her team, and all her team mates could do was give her undeserved crap. Don't start with me, Fang. It's my job to keep the team together and happy, and that's not possible when you keep fighting each other. Sometimes, I just can't be bothered dealing with it. But I apologize for calling you an idiot. She'd never been so irritated. But unlike Fang, she could keep herself steady, and knew there were more important things to worry about. Although sometimes it felt like the team was against her, and it made her feel so insecure, and even a little depressed and left out. But she shook off this feeling before turning to walk away, heading for her water dish for a refreshing drink.

Mika watched Skoda leave, before butting Fang with his head. Give her a break, Fang. She's only doing her job. C'mon, I'll race you to the butcher's. You look like you could use some cheering up! He hopped up and down excitedly, yipping and wagging his curly tail. Let's see if we can't beg ourselves a couple of steaks, yeah?
