Zero, having been tired at that time, was wide awake when Ace said that. "How can I be such an idiot! How could i forget her!" He barked, hitting himself on the head.

Zero shook his head. He did not want to be tempted nor having to clean up any messes this dog made.

"Fine," Slick said as the plane started taking off,"But are you sure you don't want to make some friends before you guys have to leave? It's gonna be a while, you know."

I suppose friends wouldn't hurt... Zero thought. Ace is a nice guy and all, but...

"Go ahead Zero, I am going to stay right here," said Ace.

"What? Sorry, Slicks the name, sarcasms the game. You know what? I think you and me are gonna get along just fine," he said, "Come on, let's go see what's shakin." He grabbed Zero's paw and went in the direction the lady showdogs were.
While headed there he turned and said to Zero, "So tell me about this lady friend of yours, is she pretty? Famous? Rich? How'd you meet?"

"She's pretty, a bit older than me, we met in the local cafe. She's a waitress there, and she got me a job and we sorta fell in love." Zero said, smiling as he was dragged.

"A waitress huh?" Slick said, "Okay, okay, well, hmmmmmmmmm," Slick's attention focused off the conversation, and onto a pretty golden retriever a few feet in front of them. "Hold on buddy, you're about to watch the Slickster at work." he strode over to where she was minding her own busness and spoke in a macho voice, "Hey there sweet thing, my names Slick, I don't suppose your name is Angel? Because you strike me as one."
"I'm sorry...Slick, I don't really have the time to play around." she said somewhat embarrassed because of the way he was flirting.
"Oh, that's fine, that's fine, but I just want to know what a dame such as yourself is doing here."
"Well, um, I, hey, who's your friend?" she ignored Slick and walked over to Zero. "Hi, my name is Sarah, what's yours?" she asked.

"Zero." The black Shepherd said offering his paw and smiling. "So, the 'Slickster' didn't catch your eye?" He asked, chuckling.

Sarah shook Zero's paw, "Well, the thing is, I already have a mate, and I was actually on my way to go and see him, as for Slick," she turned to see him already going after some poodle, "Is he... does he... have issues?"

"Just met him, so I don't know. All I know is that he's looking for someone to hang out with, seeing how quick he moved from you." Zero replied as he scratched behind his ear with a hind paw.

Sarah shrugged, "So where are you headed?" she asked.

"Not sure myself. My traveling partner explained what not to do when we got there, but he never said where we were gonna end up." Was the reply as Zero shrugged.
