Ilac fluttered down the hallways...metaphorically, of course. The school would freak if they saw the ever-present dove's wings that would not dissapear. But was he goth? Emo? People whispered behind his back about the torn shirt he always wore, even if he had complied with the principal and put another shirt over it. Nobody ever understood his shirts...least of all today. Not many people had even heard of M.C. Escher, much less seen an impossible drawing by him...much less seen a t-shirt involving Tetris in the style of M.C. Escher. Maybe tomorrow...

Ilac strutted into his first class just in time to hear another kid ask what other peoples' favorite animals were. "Doves," he said lightly, but she didn't hear him. Next, she asked about were-animals. Were-animals? he thought. "Were-animals? Hmmm, that could be interesting..." But again, nobody heard him. Ilac resolved to follow them out into the hall closely.

Before Syvor could even explain himself, an unfamiliar classmate stood up and covered him; had his back. Thank God. He'd seen different-looking girls before, but this one had something about her. Something really different. Something he knew he'd experienced before- when he was being raised by Ephra, the Half-Angel. Maybe she resembled her a bit, making him subconsciously remember. Maybe she had the same color eyes as her, or maybe... she was... no. It was impossible.

"Yeah, lucky." he replied to her cover-up, not knowing what else to say. He smiled and turned to Mrs. Saiko. "Sorry I'm late." he muttered. He always thought he was a good liar, but when it got down to it, it was difficult. However, he thought it was plausible for now. Just keep it at that. Syvor's brain reminded him. Don't want to overdo it. Fixing his tie that was flung over his shoulder from running, he shuffled over to one of the empty desks next to the desk of the girl who'd just saved his life, let his backpack slide down his arm and onto the floor, and slid into his seat. "I'll get you the form," he added, "I put it in my backpack. I'll find it." He stooped down and thumbed through his neatly organized binders and folders, picking out his folder he used for random papers and fake doctor's notes, ultimately picking one that had lots of typing on it, looking like an important document from the office. He was tall for his age, not to mention older-looking, and he could tell he didn't blend in with the rest of the class. Whatever. He would never blend in.

You blended in with Ephra. said his brain. Well, she's gone now. She's never coming back. Syvor argued with his own mind. But you and I both know she reminds you of her somehow. his brain argued back. He was about to think of something smart to say back to his brain, when he realized how stupid he was being. Arguing with his own brain. Bah! He shut up his brain's nagging voice as he waited patiently for the girl to come by and take the fake office document from him.

History (optional): He was born in the village of human-wolves. When he was in age 8, humans from near village attacked them and burned their village to the ground. He and the other children managed to escape. Rapier was the lucky one who stayed in familly friend's house. The kids made fun of him during his growing-up, but he eventually learned how to protect himself both by his humor and strenght. He never was a good child and when he was about 16, he decided to leave his house and seach for his survived familly memebers.

Other: He can transform only some of his wolf abilities like ears or tail, or stay in the half human-half wolf form, but it's tiring. However, his wolf fangs are often visible in his human form.
He have a phobia of fire.

When Mrs. Saiko turned around, Syvor gently clutched Lily's hand and shook it once, whispering back, "Syvor." When their hands met, something inside of him jumped, and he knew he had recognized that feeling. Why was this girl reminding him so much of Ephra, and yet seeming the complete opposite of her at the same time? First of all, Ephra could never lie, even to save him, but she was caring and knew exactly what to say, just like how Lily was acting. And yet... they seemed the exact opposite. Why was he feeling so conflicted? What on earth was going on? He let go of Lily's hand and sunk back into his chair. He would thank her later. For now, there was too much on his mind to mutter anything else that could accidently let something fly about the fact that he was a Half. That was all he needed.

Even though he could pack his huge, brownish-red wings in tightly enough not to be seen, especially from under his jacket, if he kept them cramped up like that for too long, it would feeling like his whole body was cramped. They were rolled in as tight as he could muster at the moment, but hopefully he could keep them that way for the rest of the school day, except for free period, which is the only time during the day he could leave and stretch out his wings for a few minutes. Still, maybe he would talk to Lily, if she allowed him to, and maybe he can ask her about...

No. his brain scolded. Don't ask her about anything that has to do with being a Half. If she isn't, your secret will be out, and you'll have to relocate again. Is that what you want? Syvor agreed with his brain. He hated having to keep relocating, just because someone got suspicious. He wasn't ashamed of who -or what- he was, he just wished he was able to be more secretive about it. Whatever. He still planned on thanking Lily after class, so maybe that would be a good time to start a conversation, and maybe get some answers. Was he getting ahead of himself? I mean, come on, urged his brain, there's probably tons of girls that could remind you of Ephra one way or another. Syvor argued back, I know, but she's different. There something weird about her, and- his brain interrupted, Stop! Just get over it. She's not a Half. He decided on just letting his brain win this round, but that wasn't going to stop him from getting some answers... or thanking her, anyway.

Taylor turned quickly behind him and grinned. The look on his face said it all: Haha, yeah I know right? I learned it from the best! But if he looked too long at Rue, his new friend, it would divert attention away from his questions towards the other girl. He wanted to know what her answer would be. As he turned towards her, his smile faded, and he pressed in slightly.

Korana looked at Taylor for a moment, she knew what he wanted, but she didn't want to tell him about her other half. No matter if her was one too. She heard the girl whisper to him, that just made her more worried. Maybe if she just acted like she wasn't paying attention it would help, but probably not. Well, why not try? she thought she looked down tracing her already drawn tiger trying to act distracted.

"Hi, Taylor" hopefully he wouldn't press further, she really didn't want to talk about it know at all. She barley knew him anyway, or weather to trust him or not.

Taylor looked skeptically at her. Why was she trying so hard to avoid his question. He asked Rue that with his eyes as he turned back to look at her. He knew it'd be a bad idea to keep pressing the subject, but he really wanted to know. As he turned completely around for a minute, he thought about what he should say or ask. And after a few moments of contemplating, he finally got it... somewhat... He turned back to the girl and asked a simple question. "What if I told you I was half ghost?" He whispered. "Would you answer my question or just think I'm crazy?" It was unusual for him to act this way. Ordinarily he would never dare to say his secret. But in this moment, he was happy he had told Rue. He wanted the girl to feel like she wasn't alone too.

Ilac's eyes widened as he heard Taylor's whisper. He had to irritably scratch his back to keep his wings from quivering and blowing his chances of normality. Without meaning to eavesdrop, he had confirmed his hopes. He wasn't alone.
Ilac sighed. Would a chance to talk ever come?

Taylor looked down. "Well now it's obvious isn't it?" He sighed slightly, but as quietly as possible. Then he proceeded to whisper in such a low voice that only Rue could hear, "I was trying to make it sound like I was crazy! But..." he put his hand on his head, shaking it as he did so. He now realized his error. It could be fatal if this girl knew about their world, but wasn't a part of it. She could tell the police or even worse, the scientists. But soon the bell rang. Taylor smacked himself in the face and got up with his backpack. "How can I be so stupid?" He growled to himself. He soon began to walk to his next class. Alone. If he was so stupid as to give away his secret, he shouldn't even be near Rue. It could endanger her too. And even if not that, she'd probably hate him for his mistake.

Ilac walked hastily after Taylor. When he had caught up, he whispered into his ear, "I heard what you said. You're not alone."
