Well I have tried a few things already, but it seems the most active people involved in the VS got suddenly inactive at the same time, and still are.
The main problem is, whatever the efforts I do, barely anyone participate by replying to the news / topics that I and some others post (even though there are STILL a lot of visitors coming to the site, in fact it's always increasing!)

I'm NOT giving up on the project though. This is still the beginning of the site, and with more fans coming it may become possible again. (especially if we finally get Talespin comics released...look at how the Darkwing fandom was before the comic, and how it is now!)

Again, I've been busy with college, but yesterday I was able to continue with another page of Mollyzilla. Just my .02 cents steet.

So, I can't say that I'm out of the project just yet.

I'm glad we're talking about this issue. I was just thinking about it actually. I wish there were more activity on the project too. It seems like we lose people because there's just not enough interest overall. Individual people are willing to put in some work, but no one wants to feel like they have to do all the work by themselves. As a writer, I can say that I would be more motivated to write more for the VS if I got to see some of our ideas finally come to life in art.

I think we should definitely brainstorm some ways to get more activity on the project. Here are some I had.

-One idea I had was to open the VS Management forum to the public at large. Make all drafts, drawings, etc. public as well. There is no sense in having it closed to the public if no one is interested in the project. IMO it just hurts our chances of attracting people. If people could read this forum they would see that yes, there are actually people working on this thing, maybe they be more likely to get involved.

-Another idea I had was to revamp our website. The one we have now is okay, but I think it is sort of hidden away in Animation Source. You have to click a link on the side tab to get there...it's not just easily accessible unless you bookmark it. The site counter says it has only had 1944 visits. Considering a lot of these were probably the same people, it seems like we could do better. Maybe if we moved it to its own domain? Something like http://www.tsvirtualseason.org or similar? The site could link to the forum here. I can design something and put it on my webspace.

-I think the organization of the project could be better. It seemed like once we got to the art stage we just handed the script to the artists and said "Okay, draw this" without really organizing. We should try to write out a list of responsibilities and have specific people volunteer to take care of each item on the list. Then everyone will know what their role is. A Google spreadsheet maybe? Google Wave? (I know we had tried to use Google Wave at some point, but I don't think that really took off)

What do you guys think? Everyone is welcome to contribute their ideas. steet, you in particular seem to be one of the most consistently active users, so I really want your input.

Well that's more like it!

- I agree with you, I have made this section public. As for the drafts and drawings, I already made them public not long ago, by creating a gallery on the site.

- If the problem is that people don't notice the Virtual Season project, I have a more simple idea that could work : I can add an "attractive" picture with a link to the forums and a link to the dedicated section. The picture would be displayed just under the site banner, and visible on every page of TaleSpin Source. That wouldn't cost much to try.

That's not an easy task actually, there are many constraints. First you have to know who is willing to help, which things they can do, and when they have free time to do it. This is why we gave a little freedom to people, but I agree this may be a problem as well because then, nobody does anything.

Maybe we should start (again?) by making a list of who can help and on which tasks (writing, drawing, ...)
As to where we should post that...I still think a sticky topic can be enough. As long as it's a place that everyone reads and can find easily!

About the 2nd pilot editing, can we say it's "done" now? Or do you think it still need some corrections?

In that case I'm still on the project even if it goes really slow. I thought that everyone was just out of it for the lack of interest and really like you have said is not only ones pereons work. I'd say lets try only comic style in B /W FIRST

My majors have started appearing and I'm doing a lot more drawing than ever now. Despite that fact I'm actually a little more free at home since everything needs to be finished during class time.

I may be a little more free to visit the site from time to time however if anyone needs to contact me, it's preferrable that I be contacted via PMs since I got email notification from there ^^

I'd still like to be an animator for this project should it need be. I could do the roughs and keyframes perhaps. I've got access to animation supplies and a professor who has animation experience who can give me advice and tips.

P.S. Though I may say this, it is possible that I might just disappear again for some reason or another <_< So I'm not going leave any 'i'm gonna try and get a start on blah blah blah'. I feel bad for not eing able to fulfill such promises.
