I don't know what to say. Teen, no teen. This topic should have a poll for this dilemma.

Teen, maybe! It's a cartoon, no one cares about facts. If they did, then they wouldn't have made him a Wolf-dog to being with.

Besides, you cant just be a pup one day and a full grown wolf the next. I think i rest my case

In the first film, Balto was 21 in human years. So, he was a young adult. In the second movie, he was 32. In the third movie, he was 39.

And just exactly where do you get those figures? Especially since the age of the character was never stated, in human or dog years, in any of the movies...

He took his own age, added two, divided it by three, then proceeded to take that result to the power of whatever hour the minute hand of his clock was on, came up with something totally impossible, and pulled something out of the air.

Anyway, I'm tempted to say it depends on which version you watch. The European Balto plays 4% faster than the U.S. version, and Balto sounds pretty young played at PAL specifications, possibly the voice of an adolescent (minus a cracking voice). In the U.S. version, he easily sounds like a full grown adult, maybe the equivalent of a 22 to 27 year old human. Anyone agree?

Am I the only one who thinks this whole age thing doesn't even matter? I mean really? This issue will never be solved, it's just a metter of personal opinion. I think Balto is at least a year old, as he is just as large as the other dogs.

Do you realize how old Kevin Bacon was when the Balto movie was made? Thirty-seven years old. Age is no barrier to a youthful-sounding voice. Case in point: Sean Astin (Kodi in Balto 3: Wings of Change).

As Mighty said, it doesn't matter. Since the question was never officially broached in any of the three movies, it just doesn't matter. Nor, given those parameters, will there ever be an official answer.

Seems inevitable. And I can't say I disagree that the topic doesn't really have a point.

Topic locked.
