Sinabi nodded but she didn't look at Kiara or Kovu. "Lets go close to the Outlands and check things out," she desided. That's far enough from them, she thought bitterly. She walked towards the Outlands with a brisk pace, glancing back every now-and-then at her twin. She wondered what he was thinking.

Nimbala plodded slowly behind his sister. He didn't want to worry her, or show her that he was worried. Worried that their own parents would betray them, and let their 'precious' Kiara become queen. He sighed, and eventually managed to catch up with Sinabi. "Are you worried Sinabi? That we'll be betrayed by our own parents?" Nimbala asked her in a nervous voice.

Sinabi slowed her pace and stared at Nimbala. What did he mean? "Well, I'm worried that Kovu and Kiara will become rulers and we'll have to do what they say." That was one of the reasons anyway. "And I'm worried that they can't handle it, I mean Kovu's Scar's son. So what would happen...?" she thought outloud, staring at her paws as they walked. "But I wouldn't be mad. Well, not with mother. Father is the king..." she said.

"I'm with you on those points sis. I couldn't stand taking orders from 'riff-raff.'" Nimbala knew he shouldn't really call Kovu that, but he just couldn't help it, he couldn't stand outlanders.

Sinabi sighed. She didn;t know what else to do. She paused when the Outlands finally came into view. She looked back at Nimbala and flicked her tail before racing down the slope. The red sand and dirt stuck to her paws and stained them red. "Ugh, I hate this," she grunted as she shook a paw. "This place just gives me the creaps," she added as Nimbala caugh up to her.

Nimbala sat down next to his sister and shivered. "It sure is creapy." He lifted one front paw and shook it violently, unaware that he flicked the dirt in his sister's face. " I can't understand how lions could withstand these conditions!"

Sinabi flinched away as the sand flew into her face. "It must be a problem," she said crossly as she shoot her head clear of the sand. "Come on, I wanna show you something," she said as she began to pad away.

Nimbala looked in a puzzled way at his sister, who was waslking away. I wonder what she wants to show me...Nimbala thought curiously. He slowly followed Sinabi, keeping his stomach quite low to the ground, he was sure someone was watching them.

Sinabi led him deeper and deeper into the Outlands until she saw what she wanted to show them. Infront of them were large termite mounds. They were so tall that they almost touched the sky! She waited for her twin to catch up before continuing. "This is where Kovu was raised," she said evenly, looking straight ahead. She moved closer to the mounds and found an opening big enough for two lions to fit throu side-by-side. "They lived inside," she said, disappearing into the shadows.

Nimbala cringed once more. "That's just disgusting." He added. Cautiously, he followed his sister into the termite mound, trying not to rub his mane on the bright red dirt. I woudn't want to show the pride where we were.

Sinabi padded through the termite mounds slowly and soundlessly. She paused and waited for Nimbala. "This is where he was trained to kill our father."

Nimbala snarled. "I dread the amount of evil deads that were planned here...What if..what if..." He paused, a shudder zoomed down his spine like a cheetah at high speed. "What if... they planned to kill us?"

Sinabi spun around quickly. "How could you say that?" she snarled. "I wouldn't let it happen..." she trailed off as she sat down. "But why did you think that?" she asked.

"Hey, don't be hasty. You can't tell with outsiders, to them, we were just another thing to get in the way of Kovu becoming king." Nimbala sat down beside his sister and sighed. "You just can't tell."

Sinabi sighd in responce. "Well we'd better get back before people notice where we are," she stood up. 'And We'll need to wash before we get home." she added. "Lets go to the river."
