I am interested to see what happened to Steele. I mean, where did he go? Did he stay in Nome and hide in shame? His sense of direction obviously isn't any good, and the nearest town is probably White Mountain which is 77 miles from Nome. Maybe he went there somehow? It's the closest checkpoint on the Iditarod trail besides Safety which is just a checkpoint... not a town, and didn't exist before the Iditarod anyway. Elim and Koyuk are way too far... so can we assume that Steele either died or ended up in White Mountain? You would think that if he stayed in Nome he would have come up at some point in one of the sequels.

Hmm, we don't know what really happened to Steele and probably never will. But if we actually did find out what happened to Steele, then we wouldn't have all of these wonderful fanfic ideas that we do now. They're leaving it to all the fans to come up with different stories on just what happened to him after Balto brought the medicine back to Nome. Though, I think he would've gone to White Mountain just like you said, it's the only place outside of Nome that he could go without freezing or starving to death.

I kinda thought that, but two things.

1) It wasn't a straight fall or anything so he couldn't have gotten hurt too badly in the first place
2) It's a G rated movie. That means kids are gnona watch it. If a character dies in it that wouldn't sizzle too hot on a parent's grill if ya get what I'm sayin xD

1) Mufasa from TLK
2) Scar from TLK
3) Frollo from Hunchback of Notredame
4) Latios from Pokemon
5) Zira from TLK2
6) Nuka from TLk2
7) Bambi's mother
8) Clayton from Tarzan
All kids movies and deaths. (Though Hunchback was really dark for a kids movie...And the Pokemon one isn't really the best example)

I'm actually glad Balto was more unique and the villian didn't end up dying. Not even Niju in Balto 2, and well.. Balto 3 didn't really have a villian. That's what Stella was put in for, because everybody needs a character to get a hateful feeling upon. :]

Hm didn't think a that. But then again, those are Disney movies. Maybe Universal thought something different. I dunno. I guess they were afraid to do that because the movie wouldn't be watched as much. Disney could basically do whatever they want since they're so popular. But whatevers XD

I think he hit a couple rocks, but didn't show any signs of blood so he had only gone temporarily unconscious. It is a G-Movie, so maybe there would be blood, but it would make it PG. It was probably the thought of Balto returning the medicine that gave him extra strength.

I just thought of something else. Although this didn't happen, the original Balto creators probably wanted Steele to still be alive at the ened for a possible sequel. And yes, yes, I know that never happened, but then again the sequels didn't have most of the original Balto creators. The originals prolly weren't planning on not being able to do any sequels. I dunno, just an idea?

There's also the fact dogs are much more resilient than people are and quite a bit tougher too.
There was a dog in the town over from me not all that long ago that fell down a 100ft cliff and not only lived but wasn't even hurt. Some small scrapes and bruises but otherwise perfectly fine.

Does anyone else feel like a moron cause this point wasn't touched?

Probably same deal for Steel. There was a lot of snow to cushion the landing as well.

I first saw the movie at about 5 years old. The physics immidiately didn't compute (I was a physnerd then too). My reaction was "Wait, what is this?"

These ledges incidentally broke his, (what was supposed to be deadly), fall
