After a long day, Hera let her claws out. It was difficult, she found, to restrain herself, especially in social situations like the supermarket. She winced, remembering the shocked expressions of the crowd, and how difficult it was to blend in after that.

You'd think I'm a monster or something. She thought, absently picking at her hair. After a while, it began to flatten, and her once poofy hair parted to reveal two golden ears.

No, not a monster. Just not human. Of course, humans tended to fear the unknown; for them, understanding was the key to acceptance. Her reveries were interrupted by two faint, but sharp cries that reverberated through the wooded clearing she sought refuge in every night. Her ears instinctively flattened against her head, and a faint hiss escaped from her throat. It was her instincts that she detested the most. The cat side of her had little control over its body, though she could feel her somewhat human side get stronger and stronger. She quickly packed up her things, and covered up her raw meat in plastic to avoid flies. Her rucksack slung over her shoulder, she headed towards the direction of where the screams had come from. This was not out of pity in any way. Fighting her instincts was priority on her list, and her instincts were telling her to run.

Zara fell backwards, crying out at the same time and wishing she hadn't. She cursed herself under her breath and let out a low growl. (I need someone for her to have crashed into) She picked herself up, brushed her tattered clothes a little to get rid of the excess dust, and stared pointedly at the figure in front of her. Her heart was hammering and her instincts were screaming at her to unsheath her claws and rip the other to shreds. Instead she just clenched her fists, a scowl creasing her face.
'Who do you think you are, running around and crashing into people like that? I could have killed you if I hadn't fallen over' she snapped, biting her tongue hard and cursing herself again.

Ooc:// Since he was already running, I'll have Ben do it, if that's okay with everyone else. If not, just tell me and I'll delete this post

As Ben's short legs carried him as fast as he could go, he could barely pay attention to the paths in front of him, much less coming in from his sides. His ears were tucked neatly underneath his raggy hair, just as they always are, subconciously.

He pumped his arms along with his legs until a protrusional force crashed into him; or he crashed into it. The little boy was tripped and he fell flat in a faceplant on the ground, and the deciduous floor rushed up to meet him very quickly. During his fall, his furry wolf tail had loosened itself and was in full sight, as well as his ears.efore he had a chance to pick himself up, he heard an angry voice, hissing, Who do you think you are, running around and crashing into people like that?

Ben moaned, picking himself up and ruffling his hair, gray particles clouding from it. He then widened his eyes when his fingers met the soft, fine hairs of his animalistic ears. Oh no! he thought. It was too late to tuck them in now, since they were already in plain sight. He nervously turned around, expecting to see a tough human standing over him with a butcher knife, or something of the sort. "I-I'm sorry...!" Ben stuttered, turning his head, one eye closed to brace for impact. "I wasn't, erm, I wasn't paying attention..."

He loosened his muscles when he turned around, and saw no glint of a weapon. Still, the boy had no choice but to beg for mercy. He put his hands in front of his face, squeaking, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean it, I, I-" he just stopped talking altogether, realizing that begging wasn't going to help.

From a bystander's point of view, it would look like a noble was standing over a peasant. But actually, up close, both of their clothes were torn and tattered, and the only difference was that one was older than the other. Ben wrapped his tail around himself, not knowing what to expect, and also aware that he was automatically given away by his movement of his animal parts.

Godzilla; Yeah. Have them respond to the screams, that's basically what the first posts are.

{Paws} Mü†å†îøñ; Just wondering, is he at the mansion, or the run-down firehouse? I will edit my post if necessary.

Samara skidded to a stop in front of the large, abandoned house. The door swung open with a large creak, as if it was opening specifically for them.

Dess barely managed to run into Sam, staring up at the mansion with large, awed blue eyes. "I feel like I've been here before," she whispered. She looked at Sam. "I'm going in," she said decisively. She walked briskly towards the front steps, not stopping even as a hand grasped the egde of her sleeve.

"Stop, Dess!" Samara said, tugging hard. A ripping noise filled the air, and she stumbled backwards. "Sorry, but we shouldn't barge in without thinking." The words were slightly out of character for her, but despite this, they came out of her mouth anyways.

"I'm going anyways," Dess said, narrowing her eyes. "And you're going to have to get me a new shirt." She continued her walk forward. SHe paused at the doorway, looking behind her hesitantly.

"If you can't beat 'em, join 'em," Samara muttered, pushing past Dess to get inside. She coughed on the thick clouds of dust she stirred, her eyes beginning to water. "How old is this place?" she managed to sputter, despite the hacking coughs. They finally subsided, and she sucked in a breath of air.

"You okay?" Dess asked, concerned. Sam nodded. "Good. Let's explore some," she said. "This place seems so familiar....it's strange."

"I feel the same way," Samara said, looking at Dess with a confused expression. "Wonder why," she murmured, taking a step forward.

Zara's scowl deepened, creasing her face and forcing her lips into a childish pout. Unlike most other creatures her tail was not always present, it was awkward and a bit too long to tuck anywhere. But she did have rather long fingernails.

She was a little unsettled when she finally noticed the boy's creature parts and hoped that he was on his way to a fancy dress party or something. She knew he wasn't though. Her gaze didn't soften as the boy pleaded and whimpered in front of her. He is a disgrace to his kind! He should be standing up to me, being tough she thought.

As she looked down at the weakling boy she sniffed, screwing her face up at him and turning to face the open window. Outside, somewhere, were other things moving towards the house. She didn't know if they were human or animal, or even a mixture, but they were on their way.

Turning with sudden force towards the boy, she glanced worriedly around the house. They weren't only on their way, they were here. 'Who else is here? Why are you all coming to MY house?' she hissed, her voicejust above a whisper. She wasn't going to show how scared she was, even if there were people here.

Hera skidded to a stop in front of an old mansion, her ears having pinpointed it as the source of the cries. The mansion loomed before her, and her insides quivered. She gritted her teeth and pressed forwards, ignoring the sick feeling in her stomach. Today was the day she would defy what she truly was.

She slipped through the door, so involved in her own personal battle that she didn't notice that someone had only opened it. It was only when the feeling of nausea slipped aside that she noticed the two figures in front of her, and she felt intent on fading into the shadows. Still, she padded stealthily behind them, being careful not to reveal her position. Oddly enough, something about this place seemed familiar, though not entirely in a good way.

Dess hadn't heard anything, but a draft seemed to blow through the room, chilling her. Feeling superstitious, she turned around, the hair on the back of her neck rising, along with goosebumps. She let out a cry of surprise, her eyes widening as she spotted a girl sneaking around behind them. "Sam!" she said, stumbling into her friend.

Samara whirled around at Dess's cry, sucking in a bretah of shock herself. She was suddely aware of her tail, moving quickly from side to side, a sure sign she was agitated. She pulled it in close to her body. "Who are you?" she asked coldly, unsure of whether the unexpected presence was friendly or hostile. Her muscles tensed as she awaited an answer.

The crow, its feathers glistening from the sun, flapped its wings harder to steady itself as it perched on the open window of the house Ben and others were at. Mikha'el's white hands were wrapped around the ledge, hanging and looking at the creatures around the house. Others! he said to himself in his mind. I sure am glad that I decided to follow this boy. His sewed mouth lifted into a grin as he slid off the window and leaned against the outside wall, listening to the people stir up a frightened racket.

Ben stayed huddled on the ground, looking either up at the person standing over him, or at the ground. he wasn't sure; he was too scared to think. "I don't know who they are!" screamed Ben, breaking the silence. He shouted through his tears of fear, "I didn't bring them here! I don't know who they are!" His non-tough and gentle demeanor showed through mostly at times like this, but he would never hurt or even disturb a fly otherwise either.

The sound of thumping footsteps seemed loud as earthquakes to the boy, who was still scared out of his mind at the moment. He had never experienced so many people...

"Do I have a guarantee that giving you my name will bring no harm to me?" Hera asked. "I will however tell you that I mean you no harm, so long as you step aside. I am determined to find the source of those cries. Did you hear them as well?"

Dess nodded, before Sam could say anything. "Yes, we heard them too. And we don't mean you harm either." The words came out a bit rushed, and she stumbled over a few words.

Samara opened to her mouth, but Dess replied before she could. She shot her a warning glance, slightly annoyed at her, but not overly so. But now that Dess had made a commitment to conversation, even a short one, Samar figured she might as well introduce herself. "I'm Samara," she sighed.

OOC: Sorry, I had serious writers block.

Sora looked up at the old place, wondering what it was, why she was drawn to it. "I wonder why this place seems familure to me." she said, looking over the strange building, she slowly approached. She didn't know why her kind were hunted by mankind, but she wanted a peaceful way to solve it. "Hello?" she asked, standing at the front door.

Monolithe rose from the earthy soil, looking around. He was sent to do one of two things, unite the two races, or permently devide them, he'd do whichever was truely needed. He then aimed at the human HQ and stompped towards it, ready to smash it to pieces to begin his mission.

The sound of commands being ordered immediatly filled the air. Zephyr stopped walking, along with the nervous soldier beside him. Growing irritated at whatever could be causing the commotion outside, he walked towards the source of it. Immediatly, a large figure, seemingly made of Earth came into view. The soldier behind him gasped.

Samara jumped at the sound of someone else's voice. How many more are going to come? she thought, irritated.

"Who are you?" she asked, turning to face the front door.

"Hi," Dess said, more social and friendly than Sam. "I'm Dess." She smiled a little in the direction of the girl standing at the door, becoming accustomed to new people being around.

"My name is Sora." said Sora, bowing. "I'm sorry...something just seems to draw me to this place, like I've been here before." she said. "I didn't think anyone lived here." she said, rubbing her head. "It seemed abandoned."

Monolithe approached further, spotlights targeting him. The golem roared and advanced further, crushing Zephyr's car under his foot as he continued.

Zara didn't really listen, she had moved to the door and was peering cautiously down the hallway. The voices hadn't come around the corner...yet, but she was sure they would. Her ears picked up the different tones of at least four different people, but she couldn't be sure over the boy's sobbing.

She whirled round and hissed 'will you be quiet! There are strangers in this house who may, or may not, be dangerous. I would rather that they didn't find us'. Staring at the boy, she felt a small pang of guilt for shouting at him. He was probably as frightened as she was, after all he was in a strange house with a strange person standing over him and yelling. But still, it was no reason to scream.

Zara peered back round to look into the hallway again. Her frustration was growing because she couldn't see what was going on and she really, really wanted to look. If I go out there I'll get caught, there's nowhere to hide she thought.
