OOC: Everyone's come outside, and now are bantering about how important Wandering Trainers are. You still need to fix your bio--I have some suggestions under your post.

OOC: I'm so so sorry DX I've revised it now... but since you said you were tentative about mankey or spearow, if you'd want I can change it to weedle, caterpie, or pidgey.. just let me know. Again, I'm really sorry I've caused so much trouble!

OOC: It's fine, don't worry...and that's much better, the only thing that makes me worry is your age. Starting out on a Pokemon Journey...I'd expect it to be 14 at most? Is there a reason you made Derrek that old?

OOC: I'm sorry, I'm so used to RPing characters that are in their mid teens or later teens XD I'll change it to 14 X3

OOC: It's fine. Your bio's accepted now. Shall we move onto the lab, everyone?

OOC: I'm still so sorry for all the trouble x_x I'll try and get my character near the others, though, if that's alright.

Derrek walked along the lush grasses, trying to find something to do. He was desperately bored, and he couldn't really do anything about it except wander around aimlessly. It wasn't long, though, before he overheard a few voices nearby. He followed his ears to the sounds, and eventually Derrek found himself looking upon a small group of kids all around his age. He walked out from where he was and decided to greet them. "Hey there," he said quieter than he usually would, but still a warm hello none the less.

OOC: Sure.

Aaryan grunted "Hello." He responded.

Will cleared his throat "Shouldn't we get to the lab?" he asked.

Derrek tilted his head at the grunt, not so sure all of a sudden that these people would be so friendly. When he heard them mention the lab, though, he perked up. His eyes flicked to Will. "You guys are going to the lab?" He asked curiously. "That sounds cool! Mind if I come just to watch?" He asked, a smile trying to tug at his lips.

The main reason he said 'watch' was because he hadn't done the test for Pokemon handlers. He figured he'd fair better starting out by catching one on the spot. Anyways, wouldn't he feel better that way? Feeling good after he caught his first pokemon on his own? Like all his hard work would pay off?

That wouldn't be for a while, though, Derrek feared. The pokemon he seeked weren't the simply pidgeys or rattatas. He wanted one that was slightly less common. Maybe a mankey? Whichever it was, he would have to hope it wouldn't take too long. Then again, though, when it came to pokemon, all you could ever really do was hope for the best. Things didn't always turn out as planned for any one person.

"Hi, Derrek," said Gray. "Yeah, let's head to the lab."

As they walked to the lab, a thought struck Ilac. "What do you mean, watch?" he asked. "Are you already a Trainer? Are you a while from becoming a Trainer?"

OOC: Ilac means well. I'm just interested by your idea, and I'm encouraging your character to "flesh out" the concept.

OOC: Time skip to the lab...

Gray nervously walked into Oak Labs. Had he passed the test? "Here we go," he mumbled to himself.

Ilac laughed at Gray's sudden nervousness. "Cheer up, Gray," he chuckled. "It's not as if you're dumb enough to not at least become a trainer."
